I am living in Australia, great to hear you are leaving Canada. Yes Canada. I have visited Canada and love it. Great place for skying in winter, hopefully you found a country soon. Let me give you some suggestion of choice to got to 1. Afghan, Pakistan, Yeman and Gaza will be the best choice as you can help build the country back. Good luck.

Toronto is probably better off without this whiny little Princess. for all it's faults it is still one of the safest places to live in North America , and certainly the safest in Canada. She compares it to Tokyo which is even more overcrowded . If cost of living is the Criteria for where you live then certainly go live in Tokyo. Personally I'd much rather ride the TTC to work than Tokyo's commuter trains where they pack them in like sardines. Sayonara, sweetheart !

I moved from a third world country 3 years ago and planning to move back because somehow as crazy as it sounds Canada seems like a downgrade. No matter how Poor I was in South America I was always able to afford rent and groceries. Here, it’s one or the other.

Majority of the Students coming to Canada , are from Punjab India. There are great Universities and Colleges in Northern India , and India in General , so the fact is , these are not people who are coming here for Study. They are Economic Refugees , who are exploiting the Student Visa Program to gain entry into Canada for Employment . Canadian Government is too Stupid to understand this ?

If you want to live in an Islamic state you move to a Muslim country. Canada is a secular democracy that guarantees your religious freedom. No Muslim country does that unless you are a Muslim. Wouldn’t it be much better if you considered yourselves human beings before all else? It is your humanity that gives the true power of redemption and being decent, moral individuals. No religion on earth does that. Not yours or any other. Belief is not as important as knowledge and humanity. However, you must do what you think is right for you. I think it would be good for you to move to the Middle East and experience what life is like in a theocracy.

You need to go to a Muslim country. Canada is supposedly a Christian country but Christians are coming under a lot of restrictions with practicing their faith. Christians are also bashed for many of the same beliefs as you.

WAY too many people moving to Canada since 2020 has made it almost unlivable both for people who are from here and the newcomers alike. Canada, as we knew it and as you probably thought it was has been all but destroyed. This isnt the country you read/heard about anymore.

The actual country of Canada is fine and quite vast and beautiful. However, since it is such a tiny market compared to the US, the pay is way too low, there are few well paying jobs and the cost of living is through the roof. So it is just unaffordable.

I regret moving here 17 years ago - don't know how I've managed to stay this long. Toronto has changed me... and not for the better. This place will make you bitter, you'll have no friends (or shallow, money-hungry ones) and there's no sense of community. Your workplace will be toxic, you'll work long hours for a boss that treats you like crap and pays you less than you're worth. You'll be underpaid, and not valued or appreciated. You'll wake up in the dark to go to work in the freezing cold and come home in the dark, in the freezing cold. You'll live in an expensive tiny box in the sky with disrespectful neighbours (and their barking dogs). The 'unhoused' and addicts will hang outside of your building, begging you for money and smoking crack/weed. The stench of urine and poop on a hot summer's day (the 3 months of it that there is) will make you want to heave.\n\nAnyone thinking of moving to Toronto should seriously think twice and do LOTS of research. Basically you're arguing against multiculturalism, just without realising it or at least not expressing it that way.\n\nAnd although im a traditional liberal left winger, I've come to agree actually, I would hate for Canada, which is a largely secular country built upon judeo Christian beliefs end up something else entirely just to appease one particular religious group.\n\nI lived in the middle east for almost 6 years and it was a fascinating experience as well as rewarding from a career and financial perspective.\n\nOf course I had to comply with local cultural norms, which I absolutely did as I'm a respectful person but had I not done so I would have been shown the door / the inside of a prison cell. If I started complaining that Islam was homophobic or arguing about the hijab that would not have gone well for me.\n\nI think in the West we need to start being much more explicit about our values - such as freedom of speech - and not lose them down to a woke fear of offending minority groups.

Canada is currently facing significant issues such as poverty, crime, and homelessness. The high taxes and cost of living make it impossible for many to make ends meet. Additionally, the high crime rate is making it increasingly unsafe to live.

I have lived in Canada all my life and concur 100% with this. The people are lovely and it's a safe, clean, pleasant place. But you have to be ready for hardship when you move to another country. It's hard work and opportunities are plentiful in India itself, so the trade-off is not the same as it was for my parents back in the 1970s and 80s.

I am eager to leave Canada as well, I love Canada and, over the last 20 years, I am grateful for the opportunities that it made possible for me, but I always find myself going against the grain here, and it's almost like I have to have a split personality to succeed. It's mentally exhausting, and the cost-benefit no longer makes sense.

Imagine being a christian in an islamic country. They are being persecuted as we speak in some nations. Muslims in christian countries are not. If anything here in canada, churches are being burnt down and not one leader has spoken up about this. So please check your privilege.

Whatever you do, you should try your best to not disturbing other people, loud speaker 5 times a day, have you considered those who need quiet time , maybe they work at night shifts, I still remember in a university library, a bunch of Muslims asked us to leave a study room, because they need to pray, super selfish, if Canada attracted you in the first place, it should be kept its original status

I agree with the both of you 100% , Islam is very different from other faiths and your family will prosper more with those that have similar beliefs. Canada is cold at times and I wish it were hotter, but I love it, l am a Christian and I love the outdoors, my kids love the out doors and we love Canada. I hope you both and your family find only happiness in your search for home.

You can sum it up by the fact that Canada is too close to, and under the influence of the U.S. and Canadian conservatives are working to increase that influence.
