OK hear me out, I’m a Jewish American but I have always been quite critical of Israel especially in the last 3 decades under the Likud government it’s nationalism and imperialism, with regard to its settlements and attitudes to Palestine. That said… Every time we’re close to creating good world sympathy for a Palestinian state, the power-hungry radicals of the Palestinian people always somehow ruin the progress, taking advantage of a power vacuum, and it’s stirring up the people once again that Israel Has to be destroyed off the face of the map. Then on top of that, during peaceful times with momentum for a two state solution, something always ruins it, in this case it was Hamas, seizing power over Gaza with the statement that Israel needed to be destroyed. Then Israel made sanctions to try to make that government fail, but, of course, as we know, it only starved the people and made them angrier and then they did this awful, unspeakable, brutal attack. Hamas is still attacking to this day. If Hamas wants to cease fire, they need to also stop attacking Israel and come to the table and come up with a two states solution and accept Israel. Israel is of course going too far as they often do but it’s a tough call as to what Israel should really be doing right now, while their constantly under attack and threat from their neighbors in a very active way every day.

It's refreshing seeing Canadians' opinion on a national issue in the comment section. Just acknowledging that they face a problem and how it should be tackled, no aggressive xenophobia, no racism. Imagine what the comments would look like if this is a US problem. Maybe that's why people go there lol. I would love to be around people like this if I were an immigrant.

I grew up on the Canadian border so all the kids shows were out of Windsor CBET Ch9. I grew up on The Friendly giant, Mr. Dress up, etc. I also was heavily exposed to Canadian culture. I am SO glad I was born on the U.S side of the border, because Canada has been on the slide for quite some time. Trudeau has made matters a millions time worse, and now the nation is in dire straights. I recently have talked with Canadians about what is happening and they are pissed! Canada has always been on the liberal side, but they bought all in and now it is starting to become a third world banana republic.

International students are good for Canada in the long-term national benefit. There's one problem. many of these students are not genuine students but a gateway for them coming to work instead of schooling. I know many Indians came in, instead of studying, working for Uber delivery, Tim Horton etc.

Arab nations did take in Palestinians before right? In Jordan and Lebanon? Didn’t the Palestinians assassinate the Jordan King and caused a civil war in Lebanon? Money is money. 99.9% of Indians come to Canada on study permit not to study but to work full time harming other international students from other countries. They come to class for the first few weeks and once they get team mates for team work assignments, they suddenly banish and never show up again. IT IS RUDE. They never speak English. I suggest you consider a Muslim South-East Asian country such as Malaysia, Indonesia, or Brunei. You wouldn't have to deal with winter. The cost of living is much cheaper than Canada. You would be surrounded by fellow Muslims in a nation that respects and promotes Islam.

Actually inflation in Canada is one on the lowest rates among OECD countires.
