I caution you on one aspect that will remain the same wherever you go and that is the issue of schooling and influence - YOU WILL HAVE TO BE INVOLVED AND REMAIN VIGILANT regardless of where you go as no school can replace the foundational structure of parenting and all institutions have personalities with agendas in spite of expressed mission. As for recommendations of where to relocate also consider Suranime where 14% of the population is Muslim. Since I've lived in Islamic lands the world has changed so much that xenophobia against even other Muslims in countries that used to be so welcoming to the stranger but for a variety of reason is also factor you MUST consider. God is good and will guide you.

We have lived in Turkey, the UAE and Qatar, and have spent time in Oman. I would recommend all except the UAE as new home. Be prepared to learn Turkish if you want to settle there, as English is not widely used. May Allah reward your intentions and grant you goodness in your Hijra.

Indeed that number one reason is the same in the US, hence considering the same.

We are planning to go to Malaysia in February InshaAllah for the exact same reasons.

Either go to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman or Saudi Arabia. I used to live in Ontario and moved for the same reasons to the Uae

as a pakistani mum, since u spoke about ur #1 reason, have u ever spoke about the millions of afghans that are being affected in Pakistan, including those whom r documented, invested and have lived in pk longer than u have in Canada, including being born and raised? I don't understand these double standards from many muslim influencers. there are also other countries suffering. However, this is close to home for u.

Sorry guys, all of the reasons that you mentioned except maybe the inflation (which I think is temporary and happening around the world), are the reasons that you SHOULD STAY in Canada. If you leave then you are giving up challenges and trying to find an easy way out. Please remember nothing comes easy and if you leave Canada then you are not going to be part of the struggle to change the mindsets of Canadian society that Muslims can be also accepted in Canada as they are, which may not come during your or your children's lifetime but it will come eventually maybe during your grandchildren or great grandchildren's lifetime and you need plant the seed for that now otherwise there will be no fruitful outcome. It needs lots of patience and initial suffering for a group of minority or downtrodden people to be accepted within the mainstream societly. If the Muslim people start leaving Canada just like you guys then there will be fewer Muslims for this struggle to bring changes in Canadian society. I think you are escapign the struggle and suffering and you guys can affford that but you are leaving many of them behind who cannod afford to leave Canada and it will make their lives even worse and the future generation. You need to look at the bigger picture and and the future. Anyway, this is my personal openion, which you or your audiences may not agree.

We have decided to move out of Canada as well inshaAllah soon and our reasons are pretty much exactly the same as yours! It's the Tarbiyah of our kids that is our priority right now and here we aren't able to do that freely. So Kudos to you guys for making such a big decision. May Allah swt put lots of barakah in it and keep you safe n steadfast on your deen wherever you go!! Ameen.

Absolutely agreed ?, we are also leaving the states InshAllah soon, as i have 3 kids and we are also hijabis and niqabis and all the reason you said are exactly our reasons.. you are doing 100% right, i do have a question where are you guys going to settle? As we are having hard time to choose which country to move !!!

Sorry but none of the reason you shared are enough to make you leave your country. I'm a Muslim and I travel the world, today Canada is the best place to be.

Am in the process of doing the same thing now. Uk is not as bad as Canada and it is a great country but it also comes with its negatives however for many of the same reasons me and my wife have decided to do it I will be following you and subscribing and would also be very very intrested to see we’re in the world it is you choose as we have a few on the table also am glad to see like minded people doing the same thing we are a community within itself

Muslim Somali Canadian American here…I couldn’t agree more with y’all reasons…ever since Oct. 7th, my family & I have made the conscious decision to do the same pronto!

Even though I became Muslim only since mid March, I’ve been considering making the Hijra to a Muslim country Insha’Allah. I can’t relate to living in cold weather conditions being in Southern California, but I can relate to everything else. \n\nI’m not married. Insha’Allah one day I will. But I think about the safety my wife will have going out in public in her hijab. Insha’Allah I’ll have kids and I wonder about the indoctrination going on in society. \n\nBut the biggest thing for me is living in the US and knowing that whoever is in charge will endorse genocide. And for a country that prides itself on free speech, yet we see that speech being limited when it comes to standing up for what’s right. I actually had a feeling that was going to be your number one reason before you got to it.\n\nI can’t make this happen right now but Insha’Allah in the next few years, be able to work on it so it can happen.

(I hope you read this)\nOkay i have a few suggestions, having lived my whole childhood in Oman i can confirm it’s a beautiful place but Arab country's higher education(college wise) is not that great therefore ,my family moved to India(our roots are Indian) because this being a reason. (Like a lot of families move from gulf countries to their south asian countries for college,having personally experienced as well as my cousins who lived in Jeddah and loads of other relatives)\n1. So pls look for muslim countries that offer good education otherwise you will have to send them again to UK USA Canada for good college.\n2. Abu Dhabi can be a option as well\n3. Saudi Arabia\n4.Qatar\n5. Turkey\n6. Schooling works differently in gulf countries, for example you have Indian schools that run on the CBSE pattern of India, Pakistani schools, Sri Lankan schools, International School with a British curriculum, International schools with American style curriculum, proper Native schools of that country that teach in Arabic.( Again this my experience in Oman, my cousins in Jeddah went to Indian school of Jeddah, so pls wisely choose the school that you want your children to attend)\n\n(this comment is just an opinion, hope it helps. I loved when you said about your first reason. Move because of your religion because of your Muslim brothers and sisters because of injustice of your government towards Palestinian. You leave to please Allah and Allah will never let you down. Wish you and your family all the best.

You should do what is best for your family. But I don't really understand your first reason. As much as Western countries are complicit in what is happening, so are many Muslim countries like UAE, Saudi, Bahrain. And I assume you are definitely planning to move to one of the countries in the Gulf. Leaving aside the government, I have seen more support for the Palestinian cause among the general population in the West that in my whole life in a Middle East country. I was born and brought up in the Middle East. I learnt more about the Palestinian cause infact living in a Western country now. Living in a gulf country, I have infact seen less regards for the underprivileged amongst my Arab friends that I see amongst western people. It is true I am a good Muslim living in a Middle East country, but I realise I am a better human being because I live now in a Western country.

I’m Californian and I couldn’t agree more. Palestine has been the final push for me to want to leave the US. All the same reasons for me except for the cold haha. I’m considering immigrating “back” to my ancestral home of Ireland iA!

I completely agree and cosign with this. Canada is not anymore a living place especially for muslims. You perfectly nailed it and these are all the reason that i would like to leave this country. It is so hard to live here, there is no enjoyment, we work full time and cant even save to go on vacation and experience new things.

My Cousin along with her husband and 4 kids has moved back to Pakistan just bcz of these reasons.

Not a fan of the Saudis but you simply can’t argue with what he’s saying. The entire reason there’s a narrative around the Arab world taking refugees is so Israel gets to ethnically cleanse the land like they want. Israel shouldn’t be getting anything out of this

I live in DC and have always the thought of leaving for the same reasons as you but if we leave we would have zero income. I pray Allah help us and ease that decision on us too

Salam alakium. My husband and I live in America. We’ve had this very same discussion for the very same reason and the government’s support of isnotreal is our main reason as well. Unfortunately we don’t have the means to move right now but if we did, Egypt would be were we would go. That’s where my husband is originally from. May Allah bless you both and guide us all. Ameen

We are Muslim Egyptian family, living in Berlin. we are considering the same move. same reasons almost exactly. I would advice you to check these countries in our list\n\n- Spain (mainly Barca); Weather, HUGE Muslim heritage, great stand against the genocide in Palestine, easier language to learn for english speakers.\n- Qatar (mainly Doha): Palestine, weather (a bit hot though), living quality, Muslim economic powerhouse.

Türkiye is a great option I think, there are a lot of muslims from the west living in Türkiye. \nThey have left their home countries due to same reasons you mention.

Your number 1 reason to leave Canada is something I have been seriously thinking of too. When I first came to Canada it played a peace-keeping role. Gone are those days, it’s tearing me apart, being a part of such a country. I came from India about 40 years ago. And, everyone knows what is the present condition of India. I would leave in a heartbeat to Malaysia or somewhere else warm but my son has set roots (but, not happy with the direction this country is taking) in this country so he’s not moving anywhere so as an extension I am here.\n\nYou are making a good decision to move while your children are still young.\n\nGood luck wherever it’s that you are moving.\n\nCanada is losing a hard-working, entrepreneurial family, while at the same time they are bringing in people who really have no loyalty to this country. \n\nI totally agree with all you are saying…

The real reasons influencers, like you, move to Dubai, is because there are no taxes at all for foreigners when they depict the country in a good light and many sponsors will support you. Don't claim it's about being reminded with Adhan or whatever. That's cheap.

Totally agree with all the aforemendtioned reasons, we all relay to it 100%. But you have what we lack, the courage to do it. We ask Allah to help us and guides us all.

Good for you - please tell your MP the reasons you're leaving especially #5 Canada's stance is unacceptable - I hope you find greener pastures that fits your criteria

I know of many families leaving because of exact same reasons, including how the gov handled covid and lockdowns. No one has ever regrette their decision to leave. They are much happier. The only thing that is better in Canada is you can get large plots of land, e.g. 50 acres with a home. That is difficult to find elsewhere.

All your reasons are the same reasons me and my husband want to leave Germany. Both of us were born here. Grew up here, but the stance what German Politicians are taking and how they are pushing the people here to hate on Muslims is insane. I always faced racism as a brown kid, as Germans in the 90s were super racist. My parents fled a genocide and ethnic cleansing themselves. So they thought at least we kids would grow up happy and safe here. Never felt home and at peace in this country. Ironic when you think how they are obsessed here with rules and laws. This war let us realise that these laws are being applied selectively. And so we made the decision to save up our money for the next 2- 3 years and as soon my husband finishes his higher education we are going to leave this country for good.
