Per guidance cited in the department’s press release, the latest grant may fund month-long hotel stays and plane tickets up to $700 per illegal alien, among other things. This comes as everyday Americans suffer from record inflation, crime, and deadly fentanyl poisoning their communities as a result of these financial incentives for mass illegal migration.\n\nThe $350 million grant supports the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), which is overseen by a National Board chaired by a representative of DHS’ Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The other six board members represent woke open-borders charities and religious organizations, including Catholic Charities USA, which has drawn Congressional scrutiny for allegedly “violating federal law and regulation, placing migrants and American communities at risk, and subjecting local communities to unreasonable burdens” by “facilitating the movement of illegal immigrants across our border.”\n\nLocalities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) can apply for reimbursement – or, in some cases, advance funding – for a variety of activities to “support” illegal aliens. In addition to the aforementioned hotel stays and plane tickets, taxpayer money may go towards “legal aid” to help aliens get around our immigration laws, “translation services” so aliens don’t have to even bother learning the language of the country they’ve illegally invaded, “mental health” (a vague term that could encompass a wide range of expenses), up to $5,000 of reimbursement for big-ticket purchases like cars or A/C units, and/or payroll expenses for staff – including overtime.

Wow 60k$. I was paying 14k$ Australian at one of the top uni per year as an international student 30yrs ago. Our fee built a new campus. I did work the full legal amount possible. I could only make almost enough to pay for my tuition. And wages has not doubled in 30 years. But US is paying 30k a year even for local. They do come to Canada for education too

Partner was an assistant professor at UT, after five years we decided the city was completely unaffordable and we would never be able to afford to buy our own house, so we packed and left the country. As an American, I was unprepared for the social decay, human plight, and crumbling infrastructure of TO, the city and roads are literally disintegrating whilst obscene skyscrapers for the wealthy are being built. The further lack of competition in the economy is extraordinary and adds significantly to the inflation of retail prices, especially in food. Legally, the country is the wild west in terms of consumer protection and street crime runs rampant. The city is a farce.

There are legal measures to immigrate to the US! As a husband and father who paid over $15K to bring my wife and our 4 daughter's legally to the US and now over $5K to help them all attain US citizenship , it is frustrtaing to watch all the unlawful immigration happening. It is appalling to watch US citizens actually coming with excuses for it, and supporting it! If the political systems actually allows and continuee to allow unlawful immigration, they had better add in compensation for those of us who went the legal route! I know compensation for us will never happen, so instead let's enforce legal immigration and secure our borders!!!

They need to come in legally. We live in texas and my kids have been cut off of Medicaid because all of these migrants. My son has rheumatoid arthritis and cant get his medicine. He is literally losing weight and complains about his joints hurting all the time. My wife and i have been trying everything to get this medicine for hom nut haven't had any luck. let's be honest as an international student I am in awe of how some internationals can study in Canada when they can't even speak English properly .. when I came here I needed to pass IELTS and get a band 7 for everything all my documents and transcripts were directly sent from the official email of my institution. I need to pass an exam before enrolling for my course, I have criminal, abuse registry, and child registry checks in my country and even when I am in Canada. Did all the immunizations needed and abide by their law i need to submit all these documents every 6 months access. to the policy of the program I am doing. And as an international remember you are coming to Canada they have their own culture so you need to respect and adjust to it, not Canada adjusting to you... even though Canada is diverse they have its own rules so yes adapt to the place where you are. And to them blaming the agency you the people who are using them knew exactly what they were getting into now you are complaining I did all my applications through DIY as IRCC is a direct applicant why need agents for application. Ircc should also question why a person needs an agent to process their applications. If they can't understand basic instruction and basic legal matters would you think those students will be able to survive the education system here in Canada? let's be real a lot of students are taking short-term courses, short like 8 months, and yes to get PR (I wouldn't lie cause that would be hypocrisy all international students have that aim, and if you say no just stay in your country). Now this a lesson to IRCC that they really need to make a thorough background before offering a PR permit ..and please when you are in public speak English respect the people around you... and don't speak too loud in your language when you are in working places.. uphold professionalism again remember you are in Canada a french English speaking country. This country needs skilled immigrants who are going to positively contribute to the well being of the country not the open borders that we presently have. I am a Canadian living in New Jersey. I know of 60 other Canadians who are living here because of the situation in Canada. New Jersey allows persons with no legal status to get a drivers license, TAX id number, and but real-estate. A luxury home in exclusive Margate is 41.5million. 5 miles away a large home is $350k. In Mississauga a crappy home is $2million.

There some landlords taking advantage of these students turning houses into rental and putting 12 ppl per house. Literally I know someone paying $400 per rent for one bedroom that she shares with two other people that are also paying $400. How is this legal?

Canadian collages did not had money 10 to 12 years ago to keep courses alive and pay professors without increasing tuition on Canadian born kids. so they charge international student double fee and makes millions of dollars. some of the courses had no value. still students are joining and coming here to get legal Permanent residence. It is multi million dollars business.
