The ones that are leaving are the one that actually contribute to our economy/society who can afford to simply pack up and leave. The ones who stay are using Canadas social systems without contributing enough to compensate their usage of taxpayer resources. By stats Canadas own data they use no less than 4 social services to get by (which does not include healthcare or education resources).

Yeah well in Canada the problem is for us fools who decided to do a STEM degree, we not only have to compete with our classmates in the job market, but also with all the immigrants who also have STEM degrees plus decades of experience. When you point out the wage gap, this is why and it is true in most STEM fields. \nI have met many engineers who gave up looking for work and took up a trade which all too often actually pay more than what they would otherwise using their majors.

I was born in Canada and live here currently. I have lived in Asia, Europe and USA. Canada is my least favorite country to reside, by far, to be honest. Canadian health care is not free, it is just that Canadians are brainwashed to think that working months a year (slavery) for the government healthcare is acceptable. Like children wanting mommy and daddy to look after their allowance. The services a pathetic! As for the politics comment; that fellow is also typical of many (but not all) Canadians....most people in Canada ONLY talk to people that they agree with therefore there will not be any arguments...people even ghost their own family if you don't agree to worship the government.

the country with the most of opportunity is the US ! No wonder the US has millions of millionaires than any country in the world. Why do I know ? I traveled all of the US….so beautiful….. i hope Canada can boast a paradise like Hawaii, Guam USVI, Puerto Rico to name a few. I had been to 85 countries, covered as much in each country. I can say the USA is the most beautiful in the world. Canada is no comparison. there is really no need for the average apartment to be so expensive except for greed ( profit) and or cost of operation which is a failure of government. Also in the constant influx of immigrants is at a rate that the city cannot cope with and that falls directly on government. This adds to the crime rate as well as homelessness. All of these failures result in bigger government that in hand requires more revenue and the merry-go-round continues. Like it or not Canada must reduce immigration significantly for a period to regain control. Our immigration level should not exceed 250,000 per year for the next 5 years or so.

The difficult part is gelling with people. That is difficult, because we are not raised that way, but my son has no issues, because he was raised here. Moreover we also need to change a bit ourselves. Talking in Hindi in public places loudly, no one likes that. Throwing garbage the way we do in India, who would like that? Many people won't like what I'm writing, but that is the fact. Smoking in smoke free zones, spitting on the road, screaming in your balconies. I’ve lived near Toronto for the vast majority of my adult life. Around 2016 I was working there and started to explore the city a little bit more, living there for a short time. I think the draw and attraction was that it always was a little hectic. Always something to look at, so many different cultures. Also such contrasts, walking through the downtown core and then out to a neighborhood like Greek town. With parks and even forests to be found. It went from tense to a feeling of refuge and a sense of a natural oasis within a chaotic machine. I think the sense of calm which could be found has become a little more rare. Also a certain openness that people and cultures had towards each other has been fading. Discourse with other opinions morphed into the near impossible. It’s all by design and sad to see. It’s a tangible and significant change. When you zoom out at the infrastructure, social and economic level. It’s very hard to see a healthy recovery happening anytime soon. Mostly due to those being in charge not caring. Still lots of beauty there. I would never choose to live there again, but if anyone is still living there and reading this. My advice would be to explore the greenways, parks and forests to be found. The juxtaposition of city and nature gives a heightened appreciation to both realities, and really gives a more balanced/peaceful mindset to explore the good which can be found

Indian government is not honest and never be honest in future, because the leaders are uneducated and selected from the gangs not from the universities. There are most difficult entrance tests for admission in IIT and AIIMS for developing a good engineer or doctor but there is no such test for selection of leaders of the countries. India is not growing but it is going down year by year because most of the citizens has been lost their culture. Today you are seeing one Khalistan demand in future you may see such voices from other states also because there is always injustice from the government side. The biggest problem of Punjab is drugs not electricity or good roads , there is no single institution in the country who is educating the teenagers about drugs with a dedicated one hour class in a school. This country is sowing terrorism for future due to bastard leaders and sold media .

The problem is demand and demand is hugely increased by investors. Investors don't live in the place and in many cases they don't even rent the place. At lease half of those seeking to buy houses are investors. Therefore investors double the demand.\n\nHouses are limited supply whereas investors are numerous and have access to unlimited money either cash or loan from banks. We have created a housing market. It means we made it something like share market where everyone can put their money in it and buy as many as they want. During the pandemic demand for toilet paper became very high and there were limited supply. Supermarkets limited one or 2 packs per customer because it would be unfair for some to stack most of the papers and others have none. Some customers wanted to buy tons and fill their homes with toilet paper and they did. House and land is limited too. Why can't we do the same for homes? Demand is important and always going to be there from those who want to move there and live in it. Investors buy many homes and bid higher in value than normal people because they have more money and they know the price will rise. They raise the demand sky high. Specially if they're foreign investors. They can buy hundreds of apartments or houses and leave it empty.\n\nAs I mentioned, we do need certain amount of demand for housing and that demand is going to be always there by people who want to buy and live in it whether they're local or immigrants. However, when many investors come in and they have greed, the demand becomes sky high and the price will become so high that only investors can afford them. Rent also depends on the value of the property. The higher the price, the higher the rent. So the issue is investors. Too many of them with too much greed.

I take offence as a Canadian when I hear the quality of our healthcare. There is time issues yes but we have some of the best hospitals in the world. We also have state of the art medical technology, some of the best research hospitals. A lot of fake news if you have never had to use our resources for life/death medical issues.

I married my spouse and moved to the United States from Canada. Before, I didn't give the US much thought and merely loved travelling to a few of the locations. Having said that, even after spending five years there, I have never witnessed a country and a population as divided as the US. You proudly display your flag, yet you're so racist, illiterate, and a bible-thumper that it disgusts me. The United States is not the most free country in the world, despite what the public believes and thinks. In reality, it is also depressing to observe how the healthcare system handles people. The social safety net is completely missing, and by that I mean that most jobs don't pay for maternity leaves or vacations unless you work at a senior level or for a high-end company. The political system is so rigged that it is understandable why people are tired of voting every two years, and perhaps even every year. Most certainly, especially since your elections begin almost exactly when the previous one finished. I suppose I could go on forever, but I'll stop here. Although Canada is not perfect, is not free from controversy or problems, and is not the best at everything, we are able to concede defeat, acknowledge that someone was wrong or that we might have done better, work together with one another, and express that we are SORRY. Yes, it is a word that is never used in the US, and that is also the issue. I'm pleased to be back in Canada, where I belong, and I regret ever leaving. Yes, returning to Canada feels peaceful and inviting compared to travelling to the US, where every trip involves an interrogation to ensure that you don't remain too long. There is no need to worry because I won't be returning to stay, only visit, as previously.

I'm a dual citizen, born & raised in Canada; my mom was an American, my dad a Canadian, they met in Detroit. I'm very glad they chose to settle in Canada and raise their children here. (My American mom preferred Canada. She was a stage 3 cancer survivor who outlived all her American relatives and she believed she outlived them because of Canadian healthcare.) Although I'm eligible as a dual citizen, I would never live in the US because of the cost and lack of universal health care and the gun culture in some states. I also dislike the polarization in the USA and worry we be headed the same way. Sadly, many Americans the myth of American exceptionalism.

Came to Canada in 2008 (to Quebec). Got my family doctor (a team of doctors in the polyclinic) last year. Same for our kids, born here. Canada also doesn't acknowledge medical degrees or experience from other countries. They protect the salaries of the doctors by artificially limiting the number of doctors that can practice. Therefore doctors leave Canada... Electrical engineers also should avoid QC if they don't speak fluent French... Quebec is discriminating against the English speaking community and gets away with it. Anglophones in Quebec are also subject to higher unemployment...

Visit visa yo right and correct thou there other channels, you could enroll for a short course at any college or university, after you can b legit to apply for a work permit.. You could give in for asylum, looks pretty a long process but also if done tactfully that's one of the most legit ways. Alot of emigrants have different sucesful stories. Still if yo in Canada you can look for work and work illegally to fend for the small probs as u pursue legit paperwork its possible 100 percent thou risky
