International students ARE NOT driving up home prices or rent...that's a supply/demand issue (plus the lack of control government has on landlords and how much they can charge for a specific unit) and it's also a foreign buyer issue (yes Chinese foreign buyers, who buy homes in Canada but never move-in and use it as the home as a savings account). Not the international students problem, when the government of Canada DEMANDS THESE STUDENTS NOT WORK FOR MORE THAN 20 HOURS A WEEK and then watches them struggle to pay for rent (and therefore have to live 2 or 3 to a room)...yeah, don't blame the students. BLAME THE GOVERNMENT for bringing these students here, handicapping them by limiting their work hours (minimum wage at that) and then turning around and blaming them for why homes are ridiculously expensive and rent is unaffordable. Yeah, don't blame the government for it's inability to build homes...don't blame the government, instead, blame the minimum wage international student...it's going to be interesting if this actually brings DOWN rent prices and home costs. Which it won't, at which point, the government is going to be pointing fingers at someone else. Like they always do. LOL.

As a realtor in London, I agree that we feel the pressure on our rental market. Rent has increased dramatically in the past 5 years. Growing families that rent are choosing to live with less space and stay where they are to keep costs down. rents could more than double by going to a new home (depending on how long they have lived in their current hime and the larger unit they will then move to.) I love our international students and support many of them find housing, but it doesn’t take away from the crisis we see. Since Covid our homeless population has exploded along with surrounding communities like St. Thomas and Woodstock.

Arab nations did take in Palestinians before right? In Jordan and Lebanon? Didn’t the Palestinians assassinate the Jordan King and caused a civil war in Lebanon? I think that’s why they are scared of taking in Palestinians now. \n\nCorrect me if I’m wrong, but when Israel was formed, many Arab nations united and declared war on Israel but lost, hence they lost some land. \n\nI’ve heard many stories as well about many human rights abuses in Arab nations. And some Arabs says Palestinians are not worth the dust on their shoes. \n\nIsrael is definitely not 100% innocent but I feel this could’ve been resolved many years ago if both sides are not filled with hate. This will be a never ending cycle I think which is very sad.

Your use of the word “America” is lazy and insulting to people who live in South America, Central America, Mexico and Canada. The United States is NOT AMERICA. Please stop appropriating the name of continents for your self centred selves.

lol this sad they don't even want them. If you ask a Palestinian citizen they would gladly to leave. Come on Arab Nation. Unite and take in Palestinian and make them citizen of your country. This how you help the Palestine People!!!!

International students is a great business for Canada bringing lots of money and prosperity to small and medium cities with small economies. Urban Jobs grow everywhere for international students like housing, restaurants, bars, bookstores, clothing stores, cinemas, hotels, public transport etc. I think most of them study here in Canada but then with their diploma they move to the United States. Why they don’t stay in Canada?

Universities sould be required to have a certain percentage of student housing available. for example 50% housing/dorm room coverage. If 1000 students are enrolled then 500 units should be available to the students. Of course 50% is just a random number used for this example, but, I'm sure there are stats and numbers out there to figure out how many units would be beneficial.

Problem with Canada is colleges and universities are not funded like US. For Engineering and STEM, US government and private companies like Intel/Microsoft/Qualcomm and many more spends million on research projects, and although US does rely on international students to fund students its not desperate like Canada. Besides, US has many college towns, no housing crisis like Canada and has robust economy. I studied in US free of cost with monthly stipend, fully funded by one such research grant. \nStudents should also realize sooner or later, especially in tech, that countries like Canada, NZ, Australia and UK are no. match for the United States. But then Indian students know in US they would never get green card. Canada/Australia/NZ were built like colonies, they don't have infrastructure- cities, roads, houses, airports, hospitals or even good colleges for such heavy immigration. They can take only limited immigrants in small busts.

Watching in real time, the end of the United States as we know it. This will destroy this country first way to destroy a country is to flood it with immigration. Makes me so angry. I’m not bigoted for saying this. It has nothing to do with the People coming here, but everything to do with the destabilization that it will produce.

Immigrations, not the problem the country is the problem. The United States caused all this to happen. When you research the history you find out more why is immigration a problem it’s not a problem do you United States is the problem truth

What's wrong with United Arab Emirates. I heard they have a good economy. The only drawbacks: I think you need to have a fair amount of capital before they will accept you. And the cost of living is rather high. If I could speak Arabic that country along with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait would be one of my possible choices. The problem with Canada today is that the leaders are all completely inept, incompetent, and corrupt. I guess they think that Socialism is the way to go.

Arabs tried twice in 1948 and 1967 to invade a state recognised by UN and has a seat in the United Nation. Why you just try another one? \nNow arabs want a Palestine state based on the UN resolution which they (arabs) rejected it in 1948 and 1967. Miracle

I’d have to say I don’t live in Canada and I visited Canada twice for short periods of time\n\nWhat I do notice about Canada is that there isn’t enough employment for Canadians and many of them have to come or choose to come to the United States\n\nIn your case, you were a light skin, European appearing woman, and in Asia, especially Tokyo, you is very popular in the entertainment industry and people are willing to employ you for that look \n\nGetting back to Canada a lot of Canadian actresses And actors wind up, going to the United States for work specially Los Angeles, and doing quite well or Las Vegas, and other entertainment centers in the US because there is opportunity there where there isn’t any Canada\n\nI hate to say this to other Canadians but is backwater when it comes to economic activity it’s had some bright spots at certain times in the last 20 years, but it doesn’t last

I’m a Canadian who moved to the United States. I recently got my U.S Citizenship. Life has been so much easier here. I have so much more savings and disposable income. I have a mortgage that has a rate that is locked in for 30 years! A 30 year fixed mortgage. My phone is unlimited for $30 a month. Insurance for two new cars is $170 a month. Gas is cheaper. Food is cheaper. Alcohol is cheaper. When you go to the doctor or hospital you get seen right away. I’m very unlikely to ever move back to Canada. I love to visit, but the U.S is far superior when it comes to overall quality of life which I have experienced first hand.

433000 immigrants in the last 3 months of last year, govt planned 1 million units of housing to be built over the next 10 years. Month of December Canada gained 100 jobs. Surging inflation, do the math before you come here?

I am hoping that Muslim, Jew and Christian would unite against the globalist cabal. Morality and family bonds are the antithesis of the loony lefty, elitist, globalist, Marxist divisionalists that have bought their way into Western Civilization and intend to destroy it.

FACTS according to the UN:\n22 Arab countries. \n5% of the World's population.\n58% of the World's refugees.\n68% of battle related deaths.\n...One thing unites Arabs...The inability to get along.\nArabs blame the West for creating artificial Arab countries after WW1...OK...Why not cooperate and change those borders? You have had 100 years to do that...\nWhy this extraordinary level of self harm?\nWhen are Arabs going to start criticizing themselves?

Just regarding your crime stats and your section about safety - the homicide rate in Canada, and across all Canadian cities is very very very low relative to other comparable cities around the world, particularly the United States. For example, Toronto’s homicide rate in 2022 was 2.5 per 100,000 - compare this to a city like Chicago, comparable in size and population, which is 24 per 100,000. And this is not even nearly the highest in the US (which is St. Louis, MS at 69.4 per 100,000). The large percentage increase you mentioned in Canada’s national homicide rate is likely due to the fact that you are dealing with low base numbers to begin with - so small absolute increases can yield high percentages, and make it look much worse than it really is. Other types of reported crime may be up, and people may FEEL less safe (due to high levels of vagrancy, increased media reporting, and politicisation of crime trends) but Canada still remains a very safe place to live.

Leaving the west is needed because it's so dangerous of BIPOCs. Europe, Canada, United States are just unsafe. The only safe bet is to move to a place with a future, like China or even Russia. There you will be safe and prosper. Everyone lives well in China.

I hope you find a better place because there are the same problems around the world. The United States have normalize a lot of what you are talking about. Hate is growing, greed is growing. I'm almost 70, born in Toronto, I've only traveled to Quebec a few times, no other provinces. I have flown 4 times in my life, once to Thunder Bay, once to Chicago, and two times to the Philippines. I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world. I have worked over 40 years in average jobs but I made it. I respect everyone's religion but don't push it on me, I'm not religious in anyway. Religion belongs in a believer's home or religious establishment. All I can say is good luck, life is what you make it.

Canada, like the United States is in deep, deep trouble. Both countries now have authoritarian governments that are becoming more and more communist, and intrusive. And social rot has taken hold.

Hey Saleh Family, hope you doing good. I previously watched your video on the reason why you leaving Canada. Some times i watch videos on differents experiences others migrants experiencing here Canada and we re on same boat. That s why i also made choice to move out in Colombia on the beach for my retirement. Then im here giving some advise. As immigrant myself, African from Gabon, we experiencing same realities of the West since 10 years now. At some point, i can say there s something broken in this country since last 6-8 years. As you making decision to leave Canada on the reasons you expressed, it is very important for you not be wrong chosing the wrong place again. You need to think about it seriously. Straight, can tell you 100% United states is worse than Canada as Muslim family to live in. You need to read all suggestions given in this Video. As a lot people suggested you in the comments, i totally agree with em that Malaysia, is the Top one based of the reasons you explained why you leaving Canada. Maybe Turkey and UAE as second choice. Good luck.

I was born in North York in 1955. Used to be the cleanest city in North America. Beautiful, modern, safe. Now, I'll be blunt. to parrot a phrase from Trump, it's a SHITHOLE of a city. Nothing but condos, you can't even see the lake anymore. Every 6 months when I go downtown from Aurora there another 30 condos being built. Often owned by foreigners with lots of money, who buy up 3-5 units at a time. Parking and traffic are impossible. Green spaces like Allen Gardens are now owned by homeless, not the taxpayers. The government is a far left leaning one, which means let the whole world in, no matter if there are no services, driving up debts by increased spending, and resulting in a place only the very rich can now afford to buy a house or pay rent for a tiny crummy one bedroom unit. I even give up free Leaf tickets when I'm offered, it's just not worth the aggravation of traffic and tons of people. Good luck!!!

A loaded question. Israelis should be accepted as refugees by the powers who have disenfranchised the Palestinians in their own homeland. The Arabs have not displaced, marginalized and exterminated the Palestinians. Time has come for the Muslim world to unite if they are to survive because there is a constant crusade being waged against it.

Me and my husband are trying to leave the US for similar reasons, life is hard and no time to actually enjoy our kids s childhood and we want our kids to get a islamic education and enjoy life as muslim in muslim country it s so fun, i personally started suffering from social anxiety i can stay home for a whole month because i feel i uncomfortable with the bad looks and the negativity to the point that i don’t take my kids to the playground because im afraid they ll be treated in a bad way because it happened in the past , we r thinking about going the arabia saoudi or morocco\n i work with individuals with disabilities i will miss them so much my father asked me to not leave that job and to do my best to make their life easier, i feel like i ll miss them the most, may Allah unite me with them in jannah ameeeen

And that’s the difference with civilized Europe. There’s a war in Ukraine and all countries unite to help them, despite cultural differences. When there’s a war in the Middle East… all leaders start pointing fingers without doing anything, over and over again. Look at Yemen and Syria. How many people got a new home in the Gulf?
|

Very well said, Mr. Foreign Secretary of KSA. But yes if all the Arab countries do become united to achieve the gist of your words, you will win, no doubt but first, Unity. Can you?
|
| 2024-01-11 | 0 |
This is an ignorant question, because the fact is that the Arab world does not act in union because they follow different sects of Islam. They have never been united. Ever. Beyond this, the Arab world uses the Palestinians in a war of proxy and propaganda. The Palestinians serve a good purpose for them. The Arab world could have solved this issue decades ago by sending enough money and resources for the Palestinians to create a viable civilization. Read the facts: The Arab world supports terrorism, not Palestinians.
