There are mayors and local governments in the U.S. and Canada who proudly proclaim themselves socialist, Marxist, left wing activists, and yet they do nothing to encourage the construction of more rental apartments. Nobody wants to construct rental apartments in both nations because condominiums are more profitable. Am I saying the mayors and local governments should get into the landlord business? You're darn right I'm saying it, especially if they claim to be Marxist socialists and only for the common people. So show the concern for the common people besides the activism for the race gender wokism politics and illegal immigrants.

I have moved around the US quite a bit (I've lived in every time zone except Mountain, including Hawaii). Moving to a totally different place is always exciting to me. Even if you eventually find that it is not where you want to stay forever, it is worth the experiences, and the growth you get from having to learn new things. If you are considering the US, some of the things you don't like about Canada, is probably true here as well. It seems like you can probably make more money down here, but the cost of living is still expensive here, and many, many Americans also live paycheck to paycheck. I wish the best for you.

Suggestions to international students: Never listen to this lady. University of Toronto is the most prestigious (and the best) University in Canada. It's ranked #18. If you want to study in a field that actually requires above average IQ, Toronto should be on top of the list. She hasn't seen NY or LA and how sh!tty is there compared to Toronto.

Best Decision . My suggestion to you would be to come to Dubai (UAE), its the most modern , secure and peaceful country in the world .\nI have seen both Canada and Dubai and I can assure you that Canada in comparison is a shithole.

Leaving is not a big deal without the renunciation of the canadian citizenship. Because when you'll not be happy in the country you'll go to live in, there is a great possibility that you want to return to canada. And THAT will be a malicious behavior.

I don't know why we hate WEST when once we are done with all of our needs. Some of us dislike them, but in our prayers, we beg to God for grant of Canadian or American or British Visa. Moreover, on the contrast, we defy some of their policies. Of course, we aren't living in Islamic country. We're living in Canada. Everything is not same everywhere in every country. Many Muslim friends. Lived in many Muslim majority countries. I would argue that in The West u will have more advantages than many Muslim majority countries. Although I do not live in Canada I have a Muslim relative who loves living in Canada. So best u do leave as the West was built on a non Muslim tradition. That said I have Muslim friends who are happily living in Western countries.

Inflation has hit worldwide. Prices surged after COVID with no signs of going down and now we are at a point that we've been anchored to these prices. Sometimes I dissuade myself from the occasional treat. I thought Popeye's was halal in Canada. While I now live in a state with 100,000+ Muslim population, I wish there were a lot more halal eatery options. This is a stark contrast from where I was living in Long Island, New York, where there were close to 30 halal eateries in a 3-mile radius. New York City has now permitted the azaan to be broadcasted over loudspeaker for every week jumu'ah and during Ramazan every maghrib as well. Even with all the halal options and large Muslim neighborhoods, NYC has its own challenges. A designated shoes-off place of worship for all faiths in establishments would be nice, be it malls, superstores, or airports.

To me, it's shocking that through generations a family cannot embrace the culture that they opt for. That means that your family migrated to Canada for the wrong reasons.

You speak of hate crimes against Muslims, which is obviously despicable, yet there seem to be many such crimes perpetrated by people of your Faith against others who are not believers in Islam - the massacre of Christians in Nigeria is one example. Canada is now a country for that's good poor economic migrants coming from poor countries or war torn countries... People living in middle income countries are actually better off with a lower income than in Canada where you will struggle even with a higher income.
