In the end it all depends on both the kids AND the parents. If they genuinely bring the parents over for the parents own sake its WONDERFUL, BUT....the truth is, that the cost of living in these countries is so high AND, the kids want to attain and maintain a certain standard of living, that BOTH husband and wife NEEDS to go out to work..and what happens is that they end up USING the parents only for babysitting, cooking cleaning etc.... AND for their PENSIONS.... But they're given no respect. So its up to the parents also. BCZZ they're SO vital to the survival of the family unit...they have that power to stand up for themselves and get the respect they deserve. But the thing is, indian parents are martyrs.....they will suffer AND complain...but they will never abandon their kids and let them suffer....so that cycle of misery and disrespect never breaks.... and the situation never changes. The best thing is for the parents to get that pension and go back home every six mths, and at least enjoy some of their life. Sad but true.???

While what he said is true. The journalists questions were valid as neighbouring Arab states actively refuse entry to any Palestinians. Its good to say that Gazan have a right to their land but in times for conflict you can provide support by allowing in refugees. I am Canadian, and while elements of this video are true, there are larger points missed. healthcare is challenging, but it could be worse- could be the American system. housing is expensive if you want to live in the large urban centres. essentially, life is good but takes effort, and there's a growing sense of entitlement... but all a Canadian need do is head south and they'll be missing it in a short period of time. I would far rather be here than in China, Ukraine, Russia, India, many African nations, many South American nations, Mexico,... All points are bang on. Too many monopolies inside too many extremely large categories. The taxes are out of control!!!! Everyone says free health care. Not true. What percentage of healthcare is done through company benefits? My guess is a high %. Also, look at some of the salaries people are making who work for the governments! The city I live in, about 150,000. There are dozens of “captains in the fire department as well as dozens of captains in training making 120,000 per year and have the ability to work 24 hour shifts (how much downtime) and I’m not sure how many days total in a month they have to work 6 or 7 shifts a month. We have a LOT of firemen. My property taxes are over $6000 per year now.

The thing about Canadian experience is so true, even for Canadians that live abroad and then come back. I spent my 20s living in Japan and when I moved back to Canada I had such a hard time finding a job because all of my experience from the past decade was overseas. It’s taken me about 6 years to get stable footing here again but the rising cost of living still has be feeling a bit uneasy at times.

We immigrated to Canada to create a life we would not have been able to have back home. However, not only did we not obtain a better life, we lost the opportunities that we would have had back home if we had stayed there. We came here to be able to buy property, to have secure employment in the fields that we were trained for. We came here to have better medical care. At this point, to see a doctor, we prefer to fly back home and to get diagnosed and treated there because of the long wait times and doctors who are reluctant to prescribe tests and are just passive. They just care about the paperwork they need to complete instead of diagnosing and treating patient. We immigrated to lower our stress levels but they doubled and tripled due to debts, the risk of being laid off or fired so easily . I work 10 hours a day, but I live in conditions that a jobless person is living. The salary I earn does not help me improve my life and to buy a house and to generally improve. The issue is that Canada is being dangerously overrated and is being marketed for what is not true. Hopefully with social media the realities will get out and reach people.

Yet, as an immigrant for over 15 years, I won’t say I shall leave when the living environment is unfavorable while I came 15 years ago and got the benefits from this country. As a Canadian citizen, my responsibility is to voice out to the government for their wrong policy but not to give up the country when it is on a wrong path!

Well government decisions have been successful. If you get educated and work heard your dreams will come true . They mean your “ dreams “ are only true. Reality is not what you dream about.
