In response to the points raised in your video, I'd like to share some insights on the US-Canada comparison. From my perspective as a Canadian who has relocated to the US, the prospect is tempting, given the potential for a better lifestyle. However, it's crucial to weigh this against the realities of US immigration policies. Unlike Canada's more welcoming approach, the US process is daunting, labeling immigrants as 'Aliens' and imposing strict conditions like finding employment within 60 days of losing a job on a visa, or face restarting the entire immigration process.\n\nFurthermore, education in the US, especially at top universities comparable to York or the University of Toronto, is exorbitantly priced at around $50,000 USD per year, a big contrast to the more affordable Canadian fees.\n\nWhile Canada boasts superior social programs and a generally more welcoming attitude towards immigrants, it's not without its challenges, as highlighted by the cost crisis discussed in your video. This issue is prevalent in many countries with high immigration rates, like England and Australia, where housing costs can consume a significant portion of one's salary. Despite these challenges, Canada often offers a more balanced and affordable living experience compared to its counterparts.

I lived in Toronto, Hamilton, and St.John's in the 90s. Canada was a strong country back then, and government was fair and hardworking. We all could see Canada growing into one well developed country some day. And then in the 2010s I went back to visit twice, many once crowded places in downtown Toronto and vancouver were deserted. Shops closed. Beggars everywhere even in cold winter days. People are still very polite, but I could see the hopelessness in their eyes. Like everyone is too busy to care for others because they have trouble looking after themselves too. \n\nI cry for you Canada.

Very good video! I am an immigrant myself and I simply can't understand why people still want to come here. The cost of living is out of control and the job opportunities are not great.

I do want to point out there is not a lot of country that is going well. USA is about to crash and forget health care and in some care any type of insurance . Argentina is in terrible state. The EU have very similar problem to Canada. Australia as well. I think New Zealand is still doing okay. Any other country to suggest?

I have a stable IT job in Ottawa still cant get a doctor appointment, meanwhile, refugees get everything from day1.

I was thinking of moving to Canada from Finland and Latvia in a few years to escape the looming war with Russia (I am no soldier by nature at all), but now I started having second thoughts about the plan. Finland is actually similar to Canada across several of the points you mentioned, but the cost of living is, surprisingly, still OK here. I do love proper winters, northern boreal nature and introverted people, however :)

Sad story is this was started by Republican businessmen that hired Central Americans to work their farms homes and factories as cheap untaxed laborers. But when they got citizenship they voted Democratic. And still even now Republican states complain yet will not use the state militias to defend the US. Born in South Vietnam and raised in Toronto for almost 44 years now I'm still here and Toronto sucks!!! It has become a ghetto! City Toronto leftists' politicians have made it into a shithole! Taking in 500 thousands new immigrants and refugees each year isn't going to be help Canada to get this mess we are in. Lower number like 150-200 thousands of new immigrants | refugees is feasible but NOT 500 thousands new immigrants and refugees.

Immigrants bring billions of dollars to the Canadian government every year. Immigrants pay 3x more than Canadians for college tuition. Permanent resident application is over 1.5 k, if you pay a consultant or immigration lawyer, it goes up to 2k to 5k, work permit application 150, study permit 150, plus biometrics 80 cad, plus 1.2 k for a room per month, plus food, plus 200 dollars for the bus per month. I still wanna know where all this money goes. It should be invested in healthcare and housing.

Great, no nonsense video. SOrry to hear that things have gotten so bad. I came to study in 2007 and it was still ok. I absolutely loved it, I think part of the problem is everyone wants to go to YYZ or YVR, but I found the outer suburbs of Montreal, and rural quebec to be even just a little lower than an average US city. Food I guess depends where you go. The situation in the US is only a little better.....Hopefully things get better quickly.....

Newfoundland and Nova Scotia still have affordable real estates and picturisque. You can buy a lovely waterfront house under 100k. Just need to invest in new skills useful in these province.

This is not entirely unlike what women experience. If you go to the Indian consulate in Canada, you would find they behave similarly. The situation has improved a lot compared to 2015 and 2016. I lost my passport in Canada and was living 300 kilometers away from Toronto. When I went to the Toronto consulate to get my passport (now everything is done by BLS, but it wasn't the case back then), the officer, despite knowing I had all the necessary documents, insisted I obtain an unnecessary police document related to an FIR. I was surprised and pleaded extensively, but was still told to go back and return with the document. When I returned, the police officer told me they don't issue such documents. I went back to the consulate and was still denied. I protested there for 20-30 minutes. Eventually, with the same documents I initially presented, I obtained my passport. Such incidents used to be quite common.

I've lived in Dubai (traveled to many other countries).. this is nowhere near being considered as developed anymore (GDP criteria is outdated)..Canada got developed and they forgot to update and even upgrade..!! The drug situation is so bad that I really hope that you didn't come across crackheads/homeless who are under the influence of drugs at all times.. No doubt there are way more homeless people in India, but they are working or at least trying in some way to make their life better and they never hurt you at least, here, it's the opposite, as they literally can do anything.. you can find them roaming all over on the streets of Old Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa.. You can literally find them everywhere.. someone commented earlier that you should give 2 years.. Bro or sis.. it's a complete waste as I am at the same point.. and on top of it when you invested 2 years, it even becomes tougher as it becomes even harder to go back as you have spent so much on furniture, house, car, tools, n all and most importantly - 2 YEARS of life. Banking sucks.. Still dealing through the mail (Postal mail).. (Mails not e-mails). I simply can't get that.. the tax agency - CRA sends communications through the mail, and the same with any other agency.. Comon.. grow up is what I feel at times..!!
