You moved to Canada at the worst time, this is rough for everyone now, well because of politics and stuff. BEFORE 2016 life was great! I was able to buy a house in GTA, find jobs no problem, lots of jobs even during 2008, make good money to rent and save for house. And go out every weekend wow! How about now? You are lucky if you can find a place to rent! Current gov really messed things up! Too bad new comers will just think this is normal, and now know how bad the gov made it for everyone and still making it worse with making up new taxes making everyone poorer, except themselves.

It was nice watching your video. You asked for a suggestion. In your case, I think the best place for you to settle down would be Turkey. \nThe main problem you will face there would be the language. I think that is a big problem initially, but it is easy to learn a language, before going to that country. Once you are there, it will be easy for you to pick it up, because you will be forced to use it every day. The rest of the points you raised will be resolved. The weather there is not as cold as it is in Canada. Most of the population are Muslims, so you will find the required atmosphere to practice your belief freely and safely without worries or fear. When it comes to people, they are friendly and nice in general. Remember wherever you go in the world you will find good and bad people. This is life. \nThe 2nd choice would be US. They have various of mixed nations. Language will not be an obstical. But, there are many Muslims there. Some of the states have very big Muslim communities. My parents immigrated to Canada from Romania when I was nine and I have lived there for 20 years. I can’t remember ever really liking it, but I was made to believe that I was so lucky to be living there but always felt like it wasn’t the place for me. I just couldn’t find any other country where I actually felt good until a Moroccan friend convinced me to visit his country and I fell in love! I think from the moment I started planning my trip there I had already fallen in love with the country! For four years I kept going back until I finally had the courage to settle there! It’s been almost 7 years and I still love it as much as in the beginning (with all its pros and cons, because obviously there are also plenty of cons like in every other country, but the beauty and the people’s kindness and warmth far outweigh any of them:)

After post graduate work visa in Canada, if you don't get a job, would you go home or still stay?

It's obvious that you have never lived outside of Canada. Canada is probably one of the last countries in the world that accepts people for who they are and has a decent level of respect for belief systems. I get that you want to raise your children in a better environment, but trust me when I tell you this... you are walking into a world of disappointment. Canada itself is about 15 years behind other countries when it comes to this downwards spiral you are speaking of. Sadly, you will find out soon enough that this utopia you want to find, simply doesn't exist and you will discover you have left the variable comforts and safety of Canada behind. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but am simply sharing what I discovered when I searched for the same things. I think L. Frank Baum said it best.... if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. If you are lucky in life you will discover that the world doesn't stop turning for you, and that the world that you dream of for your children must be created from within. That being said, it is good to travel and trying different ways of living is a wonderful education for your children. I visit Canada regularly since the late 90th. I saw a steady decline in the last years. Get rid of Trudeau and his bad politics. The sad thing is that this happens to many western countries. Currently I live in Germany. The loss of wealth and confidence due to damage done to the economy by the current government is mind blowing. People are angry. Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. There is no 'dream' here anymore. it is hell. And even if you find a decent job, you will be ask to do the job of 4 peoples and taking your vacation will be near impossible without losing it. If you are not dying in your country, don't come here. After all, we are the “cultural melting pot,” and so many people of different cultures have come here and tried to make a life work for them. This family is telling us what they dream for their family, and Canada is not a good fit for what they value.

Canada is suffering because of bad leadership. The government is unable to step in in housing, because that would mean lowering the global value of it. Unable to step in in services, because it is stuck with unions that support laziness instead of competences and performances. Unable to step in in anything because it is controled by a literal mafia that totally surrounded the government and pull the strings of every ministers who are no longer there for the people they represent, but afraid of being killed by those mafiosies. \n\n So the honest worker is mostly doing 32k a year with charges that are about 30k a year. That means most people are going paycheck to paycheck, unable to afford savings, nor think about retirement. Unable to afford to improved their housing situation, paying rent that is so high that it should be consider a crime. \n\nIn fact, i predict many landlord will be killed in the coming years, by people losing their mind, because of incredible amount of stress they are suffering from. You think i am joking? Just the last 2 days, 2 woman lost their life because of being beaten to death by their husband... \n\nThis country is failing and failing fast because it doesn't take care of its population anymore... it is a doom country and immigration was the nail in the coffin. The system is unable to sustain such a demand. The next year is gonna see an incredible rise in criminality, and i foresee mass murdering events, like there was in the US.

I'm glad i took the decision to not to go to Canada for my education. USA is stricter but that has its advantages.

Oh as a second note, if any immigrant is watching this and is considering moving here. DON'T. And it's not because your not wanted which by the way is a growing trend with Canadians wanting less immigration. But simply for the fact that Trudeau and his policies for the past 8 years has damaged this nation beyond recognition. There is a good chance you'll end up with a low wage job or pan handling to make money (I've seen such a massive increase in immigrant pan handlers the past few years, it's unsettling). Its going to take at least a decade of reversing and implementing new policies to get Canada back on track to where it was 10 years ago, then take another decade to catch up to where it should be now. So if you do end up here and didn't heed my warning, then at the very least DO NOT VOTE LEFT (Liberal, NDP, Green) because it's these parties especially Liberals that has gotten us to this point.

Great move brother. I have been living in Canada for more than 20 years and I’m in the process of planning to wrap up everything and move. We are a big family alhamdullillah. Have been looking in to many countries but now been few days looking in to Malaysia. March break inshallah planning to go visit and see how it goes. i moved to the uk two years ago with my 5 boys and wife. the opportunities in the UK were just too large to ignore for myself and my wife. and partially my step son. myself and my wife both got higher salaries for the fields we were already in and football is more important in the UK than canada where hockey is the dominant sport. it took along time to adjust. but overall recently my wife and i took a romantic trip to london this past new year’s eve and we both agreed this was the best decision for our family and children. we are happier here in the UK than we were in Ontario. and that’s what it’s about. quality of life. go back to canada? Growing population won't help growth of economy which you can see cleary Indians leaving their country due to lack of jobs and opportunities. And Canada especially not able and ready for influx of people coming to this country. Bringing more and more immigrants are just sole purpose of bringing money into the country to run the economy. And once you are here then you are trapped. Some people do well but not all. Canada has shortages in every field and sectors. in 1997, it was good in Canada. 4 liter milk was only 2.99. now 6.99.\nvery expensive, so I feel very frustrated about prices, so I refrain from buying something, but just reuse again or fix it. also, prices do not go down so far. rather they are going up everyday. terrible.

the Canadian experience I think this depends on your skills and qualifications. I have a number of IT friends who are now in Canada and they were able to find a job in a month without Canadian experience. So I believe it really depends, if you are are a doctor, nurse, even flight attendant probably they will look for that Canadian experience...so to make it short, are you planning to go back to Singapore? I am currently working here in Singapore and getting like more than 10grand a month but it is boring here. In Canada surely I will be able to drive and go to different beautiful places and it is near to US and Europe if you wanna travel. Here, wherever you go here seems like the place is just the same and cost of living here I believe its more expensive compare to Canada. Rentals here for a 3 bedroom reaching 4k a month and so on. So with these are you planning to go back to Singapore???
