(China) Now that China’s manufacturing is all leaving for other countries, Canada’s income (GDP) will continue to shrink, until other countries develop enough to take over from China. However, even with that, most all countries in the world, except African ones and some middle eastern ones, have shrinking populations, leaving the world with less and less consumers. Not a recipe for a successful future.

I am a Canadian and I am puzzled by many of the claims you make. First housing price will vary a lot depending if you are in Vancouver, Toronto or Quebec City. Where I live, in the greater Montreal area, it's not difficult to buy a house if you have 2 median salaries. You say healthcare is expensive ?? It's mostly free (paid by our Taxes) and there are a lot of jobs posted. Almost all companies have a very hard time recruiting as there are very few candidates. The only thing I will give you is grocery price which is indeed expensive. Ultimately I agree that Canada is not great but where would I go ??? U.S. , Western Europe or every where I can think of is even worst in most respect.

Most of these problems happens because of systemic questions in all the country around the world, citys planning for cars, real estate market completely dominated for super riches and Great fortunes operating without any kind of control. I was an international student who came to Canada in 2013 (not from India). I studied and worked at the same time while trying to find an affordable housing. it was hectic at times, but I managed like everyone else I know. Just mature up and push through, it only gets better with time.

Government could do a lot by providing incentives to large corporations who build and provide public housing. There are ways to entice investors to make long term investments into public housing while providing low rent to own incentives to the homeless. What goes around, comes around and Canada has the people to initiate a movement towards ending homelessness.

Came to Canada from Iraq at the age of 3. Finished college and university. Became a military officer. Now at 33 years old...I am leaving for Thailand. Better people, better food, better climate, much much better women. Never coming back and will be renouncing citizenship. Good luck.

With Trudeau's communist style it's not just new Canadians leaving, but folks that are 5 generation citizen. The corruption by the Liberal party, the inflation caused by Trudeau's deficits and printing of money are factors, but the communist style of jailing peaceful protestor, ceasing bank accounts and infringement of freedoms is a bigger factor for me. We have moved over 90% of our wealth outside of Canada and spend very little time there.

Australia is much better than Canada in all ways.
