I’ve been accused of racially profiling someone. Because my coworker asked them if then needed assistance & then I did without realizing she already had. She thought we were the same person. I guess because we are both white with brown hair? Felt awful afterward. Not sure why people would even think to spy on people of colour whilst shopping. Usually (in my experience) the people who steal seem sketchy - they won’t make eye contact, are standoffish etc. Those are the people to keep an eye on. You’re just wasting your time otherwise. I get followed quite frequently. It’s pretty funny because I’ve never stolen anything from a store in my life

Water is wet. Majority white countries have lots of discrimination and racism. Not to mention endless profiling. The irony is that North America specifically was meant to be a place for all kinds of people. A safe haven for those fleeing religious and ethnic persecution in Europe.

I am a white person.... and in my life I have been ripped off more than once and they have all been white. So if you think about it they should profile more white people.

Years ago I was looking for an apartment with my girl-friend and we looked at a great place and being white we didn't even think twice about being discriminated against. Oddly enough the woman (who happened to be middle-eastern) didn't want to rent to us because we weren't married. I think subtle racism is actually a very practical type of stereotyping and it didn't just got created out of air, there is a big chunk of that specific race (be it any race according to the stereotype) who actually prove the stereotype to be right. I am from india, living in Canada and if some house owner would prefer a white guy over me to rent their house, I would not blame him since a lot of people don't like the smell of spices that we cook all the time.\n\nAs far as stereotyping is sublet and not rude or hurting, I don't think it's actually so much of racism rather then preference.\n\nI just want to make it clear though that I do support racism, whatever is happening in US and a lot of other countries which is violent is a very horrible thing. I find it hilarious when white people in comment sections think they can educate you about racism through a screen more than your own history, experiences, and data can. Trust me white people, I know more about racism than you do.

No wonder, the non-whites stick together in tight groups with their respective languages and having strong connections for business, staying and other stuff. When there is huge discrimination, they need to resort to this behavior (apart from the natural behavior of staying together with known or familiar people). I learned something new today from watching this documentary, the fact that they actually named a town & a park Africville in the great white north. Some people are naive while others are not when it comes to racism. The very fact of the world has been conquered & dominated with the white supremacy mentality leave very little to be surprise that Canada had slaves. I think from what I've come to understands is that having slavery for 250 yrs most white Canadians will pretend to not be racist, but it's like those two kids in your class the one who had the paper thrown at him & the one who did it doesn't act like he did anything & the rest are just as bad because they saw who did it but are complicit by not saying anything. No one wants to be the rat, but at the same time they all know why the one kid that threw the paper did it & the one that had it done to them knows exactly why.

This is bad racial profiling for sure, Shoppers Drugmart is bad.\nAlthough I'm white, when I have a backpack on I'm often asked if I need help.\nThey're usually more suspicious with people who wear backpacks, but certainly racism is a factor here too.

You should see the other side of coin. Islam has a true meaning which u can observe from the life of prophet Muhammad (PBUH). I too love Jesus(PBUH) and other prophets following their path whereas the so called white liberal people are quite opposite to that.

The media did a great job profiling white skin people as charming, civilized, with good manners, rich, eating healthy. Because the media did a great job in feeding us with Groupthinking, we are unconsciously practicing what we were fed, we give to white people the best jobs, we open for them the best opportunities and we are suspicious of other races, even if we belong to those other races.

I can give you plenty of examples of being racially profiled as a white man, like the time i walked into a Mexican market in L.A. and as i walked in overheard what the cashier charged a Mexican woman for a couple of items, so i grab the same exact items and bring them up to the counter just to be charged 3 times as much.  Go to any swap meet in So. Cal as a white man and see how you are treated amongst the Mexican vendors. And the further south you go the worst it is.  Maybe white people are not supposed to speak up? Or maybe the time a black guy said to the white boy door to door sales man that he was in the wrong neighborhood in Pasadena, Ca.Where do we put the attention? Or is it all about ratings again?

It’s all on where you live and who you live around. There are like 7 black families in our town. There are no black folks to harass. The police and shop owners harass white people. They profile you on what you wear. What condition vehicle you drive or the way you look. In areas with lots of black folks they follow and harass black folks. \n\nI’m not saying it doesn’t exist. What I’m saying is it’s not everywhere like these videos make it out to be. Most of the time it has nothing to do with racism.

I was in Toronto me and a friend he was a white guy and we pretend like we were a couple and as we were walking down the street people was staring at us and the police officers had said are you from the States we said yes and they said oh we thought so and I said why is that because I'm black and he's white they were very very prejudiced towards us as if no black and white couples walk down the street in Toronto that's the impression I had got hope things change by now but I'm afraid it probably haven't
