This was so interesting to hear! I’ve lived here in Canada my whole life. I thought Everyone lived this way .. I need to leave and live somewhere warm. I also need to be able to work less in order to spend as much time w my time with my family as possible and have enough time left over to rest and take care of myself properly. Canada is optimized for its working classes. Anyone employed full time in Canada can have a decent quality of life. When you go to a developing country to work at local salaries, you will understand how hard it is to live in a developing country.

As you asked , if these reasons are valid and right enough to leave then YES and myself i Left Canada , and have no regrets at all.\nAll the reasons you mentioned are very true and honestly I have no desire to go and live there. Ummmm.. you sound like you moved to 1 city and making your analogy. I am american and lived in Canada for 30 years of my life. Florida a 1 bedroom is 2400 and at best you can get a 800 Sq ft for 15. Got forbid you get sick in America you go bankrupt. You get paid more in the states... lol some states minimum wage is 5 to 7 dollars. Every country has a staffing problem in medical field. If you wanna be a you tuber now yes u.s can be better for that LA, Florida places with no winter where you can film every season is a plus. I do think change can be a very good thing. But people need to realize that there’s a different set of problems in each country. It’s all about the pros and cons that you’re willing to deal with. What is the lesser evil to you? Otherwise, no country is really a perfect match for your beliefs and values about how you should be treated. I personally would rather live in Jamaica, but even Jamaica doesn’t have everything in it that I would like. But I need to deal with that and settle. I live in Canada right now. Other than that, I could live in Canada the rest of my life, as long as I get out of Quebec.

I'm listening to hear how Canada is not a desirable place to live, bc I have thought it would be a better alternative to the USA. But it still sounds better than life in the USA, if even just slightly. ?\nSo far, I hear 30% taxes on income (which is same in the USA).\nYou have free healthcare, however you have to wait in emergency room for 8 hours.....we DON'T have free healthcare....and guess what? $450+ later, we have still waited 4-10 hours in the ER. \nHere in the USA, our cost of living is insanely high compared to a single and even a double income. Our lowest rent is $1,200 to live in low income surroundings. A rent around $1,800/month will bring you to nicer surroundings in an apartment, but still surrounding areas have crime. \nFood costs are so high, Gas is so high. We haven't bought new clothes for ourselves in YEARS, only for our kids. \nDaycare is $485-500 month per child, even before and after school care. \nHealth insurance averages $145/per person per month, not to mention car insurance which is required to drive. \nSegregation has improved here but is ever being integrated back into our society as racism is kept very alive, even as they constantly teach it in the schools. They say it's to teach history but I believe it is just reinforcing racist ways and thinking patterns. \nI don't blame anyone for wanting to return to the comfort of their own people, language and living and country. \nYou may have us with the cold/hot weather in Canada! \nI didn't know about the Canadian passport being so opportunistic for travelling. That's cool ? \nAs far as desired profession, there are many doctors and teachers that come here to the USA from other countries and are now working as a clerk in the dollar stores here in the US. \nAnd forget work life balance here too. Cost of living here causes so much disruption in our family life. Debt is revolving.\nMy fiance's mother comes from a country in West Africa. She longs to return. She calls the USA a place you come to be a work rat. \nBesides free healthcare, it sounds like USA and Canada are similar. \nOne thing I've heard about Canada is that the government cares about kindness, as well as the banks. I hear that people are generally more courteous in Canada than they are here in the US.

For those who have nothing to compare too, find themselves content with the circumstances they are in. For those those that have seen other places, will notice that all the things you mentioned are completely true. People in Canada are very nice and the country is beautiful, but life can be very monotoned and non progressive.

Hello ladies! I'm Brazilian and moved to Canada to pursue a better life and... I cannot agree with you more!!! I thought I was insane for telling my canadian husband about all of the things Canada has to improve (literally everything you mentioned in the video), but found myself supported by someone else's experience and perspective (yours). My country also has it flaws, obviously, but at the end of the day I would leave Canada if I could, I just can't leave my husband behind ?‍♀️ But we will figure it out. Now I live in Russia, Saint-Petersburg. And all minuses you're mentioned are really pluses for me and my family:). Weather with severe winter within beautiful nature and no fences (huge amount all around Russia, GULAG is in heads and souls), calm night life, habitual free of charge medicine and bureaucracy, high taxes BUT with extremely low level of corruption, because here your taxes just go up in smoke. Prices for food and energy are similar to Scandinavia or Western Europe. So. Thank you. I've got additional strong enthusiasm to move to Canada.

No wonder my friend from Canada doesn’t see any essence of going back. He is enjoying life in Kenya, fact that his wife is black and Kenyan. I see them visiting for thanksgiving and that’s it, they always come back to the motherland.

A lot of people from Eastern Europe countries like Poland are selling they houses and moving back. \nIn my opinion if you don’t have a high earning job (150k after taxes and up) it is impossible to live a good life in Canada.

Yes the racism is very high here. \nMany people come here for a better life but that is very hard to find now days in Canada. Governments here, on every level have let Canadians down . They stopped investing in affordable housing. They haven’t provide enough placement for education of medical staff over decades and now we don’t have enough nurses and doctors. \nWe need better educated voters but of course they don’t put enough money into education. It’s seems people prefer voting for bullies rather than people who actually care about the people and the land that feeds us. Most of these reasons are the same in each country. Been living in 4 countries and I can tell you that it's the same almost everywhere. Also, taxes are not that high in Canada. I live in a country now that has almost 50% taxes. And I'm just in the middle class. I've seen few of those videos now and I have a feeling that people complaining about Canada are the people that haven't lived anywhere else. US is the worst possible place to live. No work-life balance, toxic work culture, no holidays, no vacation, no healthcare, working people being homeless, violence, racism, wokeness, gun violence. These are just a tip of the icberg why US is the worst place to move to.

I agree with most of your points, but as a person who immigrated to Canada 23 years ago, I am still happy that i did it, grateful for the opportunities that Canada offered to me, even though i had to work hard for everything. Few points i want to make for those who consider immigrating:\n1. Uprooting yourself from your country, and starting from the bottom in a foreign country is difficult, and not for everyone. Sometimes, when immigrants go back to visit their home countries, they try to present themselves as successful, and tend to exaggerate the positives. Having realistic expectations is crucial, do a thorough research beforehand, prepare yourself, and you will have better chances to succeed.\n2. I also lived in US for almost 2 years: US is better if you want to do business, or if you are highly specialized (IT, healthcare, etc.), but i wouldn't raise children there, even more so if i were a visible minority. \n3. If you are on top of your career at home, think twice before immigrating, unless you find a suitable position before arrival. If you are in a priviledged position, you have connections, doors are opened easily for you, you might find it difficult to adjust without these things. Many people leave their country because of corruption, they will find that they have more opportunities in Canada. \n4. There are some significant differences between provinces in Canada: Quebec offers low university tuition, Alberta offers the best ratio between average income and average housing costs. (You can buy a new house in Edmonton with about 300k) \n5. Canada might not be for those who want to become milionaires in few years, or for those who want a night life like Las Vegas or Ibiza... but if you are a young couple, motivated and hardworking, who want to raise children in a decent environment, to be able to send them to school without fear, Canada might be a good place.

You guys were spot on with this video. I am Canadian born from Caribbean immigrants and all we've done from jump is work multiple jobs. If you live in Toronto you can't just have one job; even lawyers and engineers have side hustles. My uber drivers are usually tech engineers! Most people usually immigrate to the US after getting their visa because the pay is so much more and the cost of living is lower. An example some jobs I'm looking at in Canada pay $50-$60k base demanding 5 yrs experience with 2-3 wks vacation. In the US the same job pays $75-100k base, unlimited vacation, work from home 2-3 yrs experience! I now live here part time and most of my wealthy friends have moved to the US, Costa Rica or Mexico because the cost of living is too high and it's no longer worth it. No life balance, even working remote you're a slave, the cost of living is outrageous

Free health care makes the system overwhelmed and causes delays in getting treatment, try being in a situation where u have a life-threatening illness and can't afford treatment. It's hard to build wealth in Canada, try building your stupendous wealth in a country that is unsafe with poor infrastructures. There's no perfect situation in life but I think having a good quality of life supersedes wealth accumulation and most other things.

In 98 to o4 I lived in Vancouver it was a dream for me the west coast was amazing but I was very poor whilst living there. I left back to the U.K. and missed it a lot the west coast. I was born and raised in Canada. The rat-race was going nowhere for me and my quality of life was even worse, so I decided to move to Africa. Even though I am making minimal money here compared to Canada, I have never been happier. I feel like the Most High gave me a fresh new start.

This video for privileged people, not people struggling to survive. In a country like Nigeria, a PhD holder is applying for trucking driving job and secondary teaching job. They would be grateful to move to Canada for a befitting job and will be excited to pay tax. Many with good educational background don't even have any job at all. At least Canadian government takes taxes and provide good infrastructure. In Nigeria, the government takes your tax and nothing works, no jobs, no security, no healthcare, no good roads or infrastructure. It's difficult to travel inter state without being kidnapped. Your family sells all your properties and pay the ransom but still be killed. You can even be gunned down in your house or on the street just for next to nothing. All my relatives in Canada are happy with their families and are begging me to come. Even people with good jobs are moving to Canada. They're not doing it for themselves for the future of their children, for peace of mind, security and to escape poverty. \n\nIf you're in doubt please move back to Nigeria then you will know Canada is heaven. Many have resorted to prostitution and crime because they believe they don't have any other way to survive. No country is perfect. There is corruption, racism, high expenses, bad weather, cultural differences and a whole bunch of issues wherever you go. It's a matter of how much you can adapt and tolerate. My uncle was a bank executive in his native country yet could not get anything more than a parking lot attendant job his entire life in canada. I'm Canadian born and raised. I left Canada when I was 28 and found a better life in a developing country. Canadians think their country is wonderful because few know anything better. As you expressed, there is more to life then working to pay taxes. Quality of life is more important.

Tips when moving countries:\nNature wins - if you are from Africa, why would you move to Canada???\nCanada is COLD - in Africa you never dealt with snow, ice, blizzards - meanwhile in Canada, 6 months WINTER hhahaha your body is not accustomed to such conditions, human races are different because of thousands of years living in certain climates - NOT AS IN THE BIBLE WHERE THEY SAY WE CAN DO WHATEVER WE WANT ON THE PLANET - WRONG! so this recent phenomena of moving countries is having also psycologicall downsides, such as racism, different cultures, not being able to fit in/not accepted by the natives etc as our brains are not designed for changing tribes, it is still as thousands of years ago, our brains operate in such way, that those childhood friends you had in your home country - YOU WILL NEVER HAVE THEM AGAIN ELSEWHERE. \nSo at first you may enjoy a new place, it as something new, but long term - NOT GOOD.\n\nTherefore when you move countries, you always move EAST or WEST, as you stay on similar altitude, the climate will be same/similar and likely the people will be also be similar/similar culture.\n\nYou never move NORTH or SOUTH, as everything will be DIFFERENT - climate, people, way of life - it will crush you! I've met a lot of people from all over the world who come to Canada for a better life. Most are good genuine people, they work hard have children build a life for themselves and become useful citizens and contribute to the community they join. every once in a while I hear someone make claims like they deserve preparations because Canadians act racist towards them. Hearing this I have to ask how have they been wronged? Who was keeping them down being racist towards them. It hit me hard that I loved the idea. But the next day, I took a very deep thought about the grass always seeming greener at the other side. I noticed here in Qatar life is not what I had anticipated, why now risk of going to Canada with the same hopes of a better life and pay? I discussed it with my wife back home (Uganda) and told her I would rather stay in Qatar and focus then go back home as my children need me more than they need the money I think I will get. The truth is that if Nigeria doesn’t get better, even the few that said they will return back home will never return. Cos if you plan to come back in your old age, have you forgotten that old age is a time when you desperately need good health care to ensure you live a healthy life? who will provide that good health care if you are in Nigeria? So I tell you people, if this country Nigeria don’t do better, no one will be returning. If you already used to life around friends and families back home Canada is not for you. It’s the same in the USA . We have the same mundane lifestyle . Monotonous routines .. It all depends on the individual how to spike one’s life into more exciting plans . Canada is beautiful.. there are many places to visit and anyone can carry active exciting lifestyles. Only problem is it’s bone chilling during winter time . I wish the cost of living wasn’t that high compared to the USA despite higher remunerations .
