Many Canadians are leaving Canada, most of them highly skilled. Reasons are the expense of living here is astronomical and we have a totalitarian liberal/ndp government ben ton making the country as miserable as possible to live in. More are leaving and not being replaced by the equally skilled, quite the opposite. Good luck finding a house.

I immigrated to Canada in 1992 and I left Canada last year and moved to Spain. The best thing I ever did. Canada has become dictatorship under the Trudeau regime. Too many immigrants abusing the system and trying to make Canada like where they came from, particularly, East Indian and Muslims. They refuse to integrate and adapt to Canada.

Pure idiocy. If I had $45000 in Canada I'd arrange moving to Russia for that summ and would have live like a King, trying any job I like for unlimited amount of time, just part-timing as a language teacher or tutor, 10 lessons would have make up for rent even in the center of Moscow or Vladivostok, our most expensive cities!

Canada is making money off the immigrants who come and pay for visa and rents etc while immigrants stay poor in Canada as they're paying more than what they benefit.

16:30 I completely agree with ur assessment. It's even tougher if ur a guy trying to date in Canada. The women are so rude, dismissive, and standoffish. They stick to their own circles, and are not very open to getting to know strangers. Dating or making friends in Canada is terrible!!

Government could do a lot by providing incentives to large corporations who build and provide public housing. There are ways to entice investors to make long term investments into public housing while providing low rent to own incentives to the homeless. What goes around, comes around and Canada has the people to initiate a movement towards ending homelessness.

the price of housing is off the roof because everyone wants/need to move to cities and developers don't wanna build average housing because communist governments like Canada's make it expensive to start any business, so if they are going to build new homes they are going to be luxury homes because rich people don't complain about prices. Another reason is immigration, more people means more demand.

This is a great example of people without pride for their nation. This woman is not Canadian so of course she’s leaving Canada. I also notice most of these people are people without children. \n\nYou talk about Canada like it’s a state in a nation. Have respect for that great country and leave without trying to badmouth it. They took you in and you make videos like this to thank them. Get gone ?
2023-12-10 0
Make an informed decision and stay at home. \nDont come to canada.

people make a big deal on immigrants. like i mean what if there is a wealthy guy from a country far far away and he has money. he doesnt need a job in canada. all he needs is a place to live near a mountain in canada. would that be still a problem for canada?

This follows the current Conservative narrative. Yes Canadian housing is going through a rough patch, worse than most G7. But the people under the most stress are in the the three western provinces where the economy is more resource based and to some extent the maritimes where the rate of mortgage arrears are above average. Ontario and BC rate of mortgage arrears is the lowest and make up are the largest housing market. Canada has many large international corporations like Nutrien, Barrick Gold, banks, Enbridge, Constellation Software, Shopify, Suncor ... Healthcare is tricky to compare but where Canada mostly falls short as reported by the NIH is dental care and drugs which the NDP want to address. Although primary care could be improved, falling a little below Europe.

My grandparents and aunt are Canadian. Canada made the same mistake we did in the US. Yes life was good but the wealth was a delicate balance. Once we opened the doors to the world, we found that ecosystem more delicate than we knew, which makes the Western world even more of a cultural miracle than we realized, given the degree of freedom we enjoy. No wonder the not-west thought that our societies were disasters in the making and not capable of coherent opinion or defense.

Not mentioned in this video…many new immigrants end up on welfare…don’t know the percentage but they are on welfare for over ten years maybe for life…and we are not the only country that does this…Canada use to have a sensible way to allow immigrants into our country but not anymore…this has caused havoc…housing…healthcare…jobs…homelessness has increased…where I live homeless encampments have sprang up overnight…the government has done nothing up to this point…Canadians are generous…and make ever effort to help…it is amazing given the current situation in Canada…this video is accurate…but not deep in regards to information…it does raise a red flag…like many other countries that are similar…

Ah it is almost the same in my country, the Netherlands. Extremely wealthy, lot of immigrants to but we have a real reason to complain: we do not have the space Canada does have......let 's say a major difference? ? Anyway I will go to Canada just for vacation, hiking and travelling around ( I think will be Alberta or BC ) and put some of my well earned money in your economy. Greetings from the Netherlands, love your beautiful country and I will visit you. Life is short, make every day count even it is hard to pay your living costs, stay strong lovely people.

All your points are valid. I would add that, sadly, many come to Canada to get a citizenship of convenience. Once they have a dual citizenship as Canadian, they go back to the home country and only remember that they are Canadian when they want or need something. Making dual citizenship illegal would resolve this. You are in or you are out. He who serves two masters, serves neither.

Currently, annual immigration in Canada amounts to around 500,000 new immigrants – one of the highest rates per population of any country in the world. As of 2022, there were more than eight million immigrants with permanent residence living in Canada - roughly 20 percent of the total Canadian population. Where is the data coming from that no one wants to live in Canada anymore?\n\nCanadians love to complain. Yes, there is crime, homelessness, drug use, extreme weather, housing crisis... but that's not isolated to Canada. Obviously there are ways to improve, but I wonder which other country would Canadians like to live in instead? Also, Canada is not just Vancouver and Toronto... Canadians are spoiled with the ability to easily move to lower cost of living areas in the same country. Imagine living in Singapore where and entire country is expensive and a Toyota Prius costs more than $100k, or Hong Kong where the real estate prices make Vancouver seem cheap... but people can't move away.

Moved to Canada 13 years ago, I own a House ❌ “A Mortgage” ✅ as well. It’ll take another 27 years to pay off the mortgage. Living below the means, but still it’s tough to make ends meet. Leaving soon, Canada is not worth living anymore.

Losers cant make it in Canada.

And you still there and don't want to leave. Stop making noise. So nothing is good about Canada? Youre the problem society has

It's not only people who are leaving, even big corp. like Sears, Target , HSBC, Lowe's and most recently Nordstrom. They figured how hard to make money here in Canada. and I figured it too that's why I'm leaving.

As a born and raised Canadian millennial, I'm grateful to have escaped Canada almost a decade ago when even back then I could no longer tolerate the conditions of Greater Toronto. It's exponentially worse in Toronto today. I wish the best for Canada but I just can't see it improving over the coming decades. I love my life in the US too much to ever move back, but fortunately close enough to make the drive to visit friends and family.

I think most Asians are leaving Canada. I'm Asian and I'm about to leave after 16 years here, my classmates back in college left already with their parents... My parents left too. I just have to sell my condo and I'll be gone. Canada is just too expensive, the pay is SHT, and it's too cold, it doesn't make sense to live here, like I have lived in Southeast Asia and I think it's much better especially if you start a business. Also China is growing, it's both a great market and a source of goods, ASEAN is rapidly growing especially in the tech sector, South Korea is dynamic as ever, and Japan is begging for immigrants now and they have preference for Asians like how Canada has preference for members of the Commonwealth.

This reporter who's talking about filling labours needs, don't believe him, there're no jobs in Canada, if there's a need and no enough workers pay rate should go up, actually salaries are going down, so what these reporters parrot don't make sense.
2023-12-04 0
Canada is pathetically expensive. Can't believe a country with oil has such runaway inflation and high taxes. Make middle East look like heaven,no rights no citizenship but cheap living and enough earning to support family and future.

Canada is a colorful British and USA colonized country, so go ahead make your day.?

I was born in Canada and I can tell you that the Immigration policies are just scams, they only show and tell you what a person can easy achieve if that person wants (which are mostly lies) and then when someone immigrates to Canada they soon find out that it was pretty much all lies. I know someone from India that apparently has a computer engineering degree from his country, but, when he arrived in Canada and tried to find work, the government told him that his degree is not relevent in finding work, HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE???
2023-12-03 0
I moved to Canada 15 years ago and haven’t complaint once. I really love it here but if you make less than 80 000 I would probably regret as its expensive to live for the ones that make less. Unfortunately it’s difficult for an immigrant to make that amount of money. I would for sure go back to my country ☺️

Rents plus utilities is more than many people make working so it's leave Canada or go on welfare forever.
2023-12-01 3
Most of this is accurate, except there are plenty of homes in Canada under $400 000. The problem is with the higher rates and stress test (which is another huge factor as to why people are leaving) it's difficult to be approved for enough to even purchase a cheap home. Also the competition for cheaper homes is brutal. Even with an income over $70 000 a year your looking at maybe being approved for $270 000 right now. Not many livable houses for that price in Ontario near jobs. Canada is not the same place anymore. Another problem is wages going down or becoming stagnant due to immigration. I have personally seen both security and the trucking industries nearly destroyed because of this. When entry level and mid-range trained jobs aren't making the wage you need to live, you don't have many choices but to go somewhere you can afford.

Canadians should move to Venezuela, overthrow the government and make it a utopia. Leva the migrants to destroy Canada

I can't stand this place and especially people! It's sooo dreadful, if I spoke truthfully the comment would get auto deleted. So since it turned out to be the polar opposite of the propaganda and how Canadians talk about themselves to the world (and the type of immigrants who fled poverty and had absolutely nothing back home and for whom Canada is actually an upgrade of sorts), I'll just use Canada as a stepping stone to get back to the US where I studied and got all my degrees and the place was infinitely better than Canada in almost every area. And there people are actually normal, like they'll talk to you, invite you to their home or to go out, make sure you aren't alone for Thanksgiving, etc. In Canada there's none of that, you're on your own! To me living in Canada is a nightmare!

Must say that was a fair and candid view of life in Canada nowadays. As I near retirement, we're considering all options. It's a big world out there but like you implied, no place is perfect so we just need to make the right decisions based on our own different circumstances. Well done.

Basically, Canada decided to wear shoes way bigger than its size. Accommodating so many immigrants without any robust planning and management was a gamble that backfired the country. While i understand a country with a weak demography requires young population to contribute ti fuel its economic engine, lack of job creation and superficially overpriced real estate are the ticking time bombs waiting to go off and go beyond control soon. \nOne thing that continues to amaze me is the tolerance and acceptance of Canadians towards failed policies of its government. The protest against vaccination gained traction, but no real voice against a problem stressing every Canadian on daily basis? \nCabada must stop comparing itself to the US that has a very well planned immigration system seeking the most talented professionals in their respective fields. Canada, on the other hand, doesnt care about the quality.\nPeople have started coming to terms that there's no merit in embarking upon a life changing or rather threatening misadventure to leave everything behind for Canada. It just doesn't make any sense

Canadians are incredibly selfish Canada has a duty and a right to take in underdeveloped and impoverish people for the greater global good not to make 1st world problem crybabies lives better

3 in 4 Canadians are immigrants wow. Housing may be a problem but who pays taxes in Canada. Want low taxes have more children that will grow up and pay taxes or don’t allow immigrants and pay more and more and more until there is no money or people. Make a choice but don’t blame it on immigrants.
2023-11-29 0
only real Canadians stay and work to make it better.. not worry about what Canada can give give give you. Canada is not a stepping block to your next destination. Please leave.

I love Canada and I love the fact its mixing so many cultures in together, but we just can't keep up at the current pace. Another thing lots of people have an issue with is the lack of diversity in the immigrants. Our services and lifestyles are being strained to the point where people are getting sick of it, put a cap on each country and only allow that cap to be broken for asylum seekers/refugees. This isn't a cultural/race issue either and people who say this shouldn't be called racist, I mean its honestly insane to call it racist when the very immigrants you bring in are making the same points.
2023-11-29 0
No shit bringing in people who dont want to assimilate to Canada could be bad? And not only that but it will most definitely make a massive impact on housing.

FYI Canadians, Refugees, and immigrants are fleeing Canada, because of the hate against white people, the outlandish cost of living, and the lies about our British ancestors who by the way gave all the land back to 1st nations/metis and we pay rent to live on their land. 1763 King George the 3rd made it so after our British ancestors' soldiers who fought against the French who wanted all the land to be the NEW PARIS! King George also set up a huge Trust Fund that we Canadians pay RENT into to live on their land. 1st Nations/metis is a multi-billion industry and we white British are being ripped off by our landlord the 1st Nations/metis. 1st nations/Metis also are racists against the JEWS and are siding with HAMAS and blaming the JEWS. I think it is time we white British and the Jews leave Canada. We can call it the big SWITCHAROO, we whites and Jews return back to Britain, etc and Britain, etc will send all of their haters to Canada. I am serious please write to the KING demanding we leave. Let us stop this multicultural charade that we whites invented, return home shut down 1st Nations/metis Trust Funds, and end the proclamations and protection for 1st Nations/metis have from Britain. 1st nations/metis please please write to the king and let's get the SWITCHAROO ROLLING. For all the 1st nations/metis siding with radical Islam against the Jews...Congratulations on siding with the NAZIS! We white British ended slavery in 1801 for Britain and Canada by King George the 3rd! We whites invented the phrase do not judge by the color of their skin...Why do whites say that? A duh the white race came from AFRICA and they have proven this with DNA. 2 sets of Africans migrated out of Africa to colder regions of the world and became dark-tanned, lighter-tanned, and white because of the lack of sun that our and my ancestors received from the AFRICAN SUN! FYI every human on this planet has ancient African DNA.\nThanks for ruining Canada and the USA leftwingers/1st nations/metis etc. \nLife will be wonderful for you all in Canada after we leave, just think once we leave you will have no one else to blame but yourselves.\nNow the housing crisis, there are too many apartments that have turned into CONDOS and they always have lots of vacancies.\nDemand Boxable homes, it is cheaper, humane, takes one hour to put together, and Tornado, earthquake, etc free. It has a bed, couch, built-in flatscreen TV, a full fridge, oven, washer/dryer, air conditioning, and shower with tubs. You can put a couple of them together to make a 2+ bedroom etc. Demolish all the blocks of rundown houses and put boxable homes call it the boxable neighborhood, for low-income families, our Veterans, seniors, and white/metis men who are the highest in homeless. The highest number of suicides worldwide is WHITE MEN just so you know!\n\n1st nations you have work to do now start writing to the king so we can end this great big lie about multiculturalism.\nWhile you do that we white British descendants will write to the king that we are being ripped off, and demonized and how it is a crime to sue white people for crimes that happened before we were even born...that is a move that nazis did to the JEWS! We fought against the fricken Nazis and won and the 1st nations/metis have allowed nazis on their land...Time to leave Canada so the nazi praising landowner's 1st nations/metis can receive money from the nazis, which they will not pay. FYI Muslims are saying they will rule Canada by 2030 and guess what will be implemented SHARIA LAW. Have fun with that. LMAO!

I had a conversation with my Uber driver last week, he was a immigrant from the middle east himself, we were both upset about people coming over here and not integrating into Canadian culture and society. He said he came here so his children could grow up in peace and prosperity, but every day he sees people trying to make Canada more like the place he left.? Even new Canadians from those parts of the world are saying we need to slow down, take in less people, and only allow those who want to live in peace and give their children the opportunity of freedom in Canada while keeping out those who refuse to integrate and even worse are actively trying to destroy Canadian culture (Ex no more Halloween or Christmas in schools)

Immigration is making life in Canada intolerable.

How does anyone imagine that there’s a capacity to add 150,000 new units of housing every year? Snow washing also adds to the demand and needs to be stopped. Snow washing makes Canada complicit in foreign corruption that robs citizens of those countries of opportunity. Shameful.
2023-11-29 1
Canada should plan better. You need housing and resources.\nCan't depend on people to make housing available for rent.\nIt is not the immigrants' fault that there is a crisis.\nIt is the government policies that only care for the money coming in with the immigrants.\nThe same with students.\nInternational students bring their money. They pay triple tuition. There should be more done to ensure they don't become homeless or dependent on food banks after coming here.\n\nIf that is happening, the Canadian government needs to put in more measures to check students' funds.

Canada and Australia have so much in common incl. genocidal monarchs as national heads except for the weather i.e., snow vs desert/temperate grassland. As an Aussie, I’ve lived most of my life in Australia — I was making Au$200,000/yr and my partner is an ICU nurse who made around Au$100,000/yr — and by my standards our life was average in real terms although most (ignorant) Aussies would say we had a great life. Thing is, most Aussies (and Canadians) haven’t experienced anything better whereas I have lived and worked in four countries and my partner has lived and worked in three — we appreciate good living standards and I’ve noticed that most Canadians and Aussies don’t even know what we mean when we talk about such things. Anyway we permanently moved to the US this year because I’m also American — now finally we can start a family!
