You know I used to have a lax attitude about immigration. Like if they want to come let them. That is until my small family and I were made homeless in April of this year. I am disabled bug earn an income in addition to disability benefits I earned by being educated and having two degrees. I couldn’t find any resources or housing. I found lots and lots and lots of resources for undocumented people even grocery assistance, rental assistance and whole orgs finding them housing. Even with kidney failure and dialysis we couldn’t find help. We had to be referred to Adult Protective Services to get any help. It took 6 months. We live in a sad place because American families can’t find affordable housing.

Chalk it up to cultural difference. The guy didnt do anything wrong but it might raise some eyebrows and worry people. Odd how depending on the state he could have had a holstered pistol and people would be cool with it. All a matter of where you come from I suppose

I feel very safe in downtown Toronto because I am accustomed to it. I've never experienced any issue with the homeless and continue to talk to them, offer them food IFFFF they just happen to be pan-handling and often hug them to make them very SEEN. I would pay 40% income tax happily IFFFF our tax dollars were devoted to services mirroring the way Scandinavian countries do - they invest it WELL in their municipal services rather rather than blow it. \nOur federal and provincial bureaucrats are sucking. As a Canadian the American system isn't broken. We have so many immigrants coming in from India and Nigeria you can have them. Not only are they disrespectful, but greedy and have no problem throwing trash directly on the ground. They also contribute to wage suppression meaning that they are willing to work for a lower rate of pay. Many Canadian companies will not hire these people given that they don't have North American experience, so therfore will be forced to use food banks and the welfare system.

America should be proud that these people desire to go to America to be free and to flee from Police corruption and political corruption. So many people post hateful comments against the Americans, but these same people know that there is nobody attempting to get into their country, instead they are attempting to leave. But history proves that they were a great investment to America. I just called my grandmother in El Paso to talk to her about this and she hadn't even seen it on the local news SMH she said there are so many people that have come in and there is no room they are sleeping on the streets? I was watching a documentary yesterday about people in the USA who have had bad luck and are struggling to survive. They live in their car but they have job's. It's just not enough for rent. And here comes the immigrants demanding all these privileges just because they feel they deserve it. Privileges that some of us that get up to work every day we don't even have.

Why do South Americans don’t use this type of energy and take back the beautiful country from their weak president? I just don’t understand. In every country, the people stand and fight for it. The core problem with Canada is not its economy but its people. Since Canada has opened its immigration doors to the poorest and most miserable countries of the Third World living conditions have not just deteriorated but have become intolerable as crime, transportation, equal opportunity employment and civil service has been transferred into the hands of these recent migrants. People with low incomes simply can't even afford a place to live and must share their living space with people who have no sense of hygiene, ethics and posses alien foreign values. The only migrants willing to remain in Canada are those from the poorest corners of the world where they face starvations, destitute poverty, disease and social banishment if they return. Migrants who come from Europe or other developed nations discover Canada to be so repugnant that they simply return from where they came. People can survive with poverty as long as they are comfortable with their environment, in Canada living with poverty has become a nerve wreaking daily struggle for survival in a hostile alien environment.

I hate this so much. I know it’s not these peoples fault that their countries aren’t helping them but America isn’t even helping its own people. Imagine how it feels to be from the US struggling and then these people come and somehow our country has the means to help them when they won’t not can’t won’t help their own. What other country do you know of where you can just decide to cross their boarder demand help and say you know what I’m just going to live here illegally now. And if we don’t help them they have all kinds of ways to sue the state and demand help even though they’re not even citizens. That’s what’s crazy to me. They make you do a bunch of stuff before you can travel and some countries won’t even let you visit let alone live there with or without a criminal record but these people can just walk right in. Any countries borders are important they are there for protection. Ours are not being protected which means the country is not protected. I just don’t see this turning out well for anybody, not them not us. There is a scene from the titanic that I’d like to relate this situation to. The scene where Roses mom is in the boat with that other lady who has new money the chubby one. She wanted to let people on the boat that were drowning around her, and dude wouldn’t let her. It wasn’t because he was being mean it was because if people started holding onto the boat and trying to get on the boat they would panic, and eventually everybody would swarm the boat. The boat would not have been able to hold the weight of everyone holding onto it. Well the same here there’s people who are already drowning, and other people from other countries want to come here, but all they’re gonna do is sink the ship, and then there will be no help for anybody and everyone will be doomed. No I have nothing against people coming here but not this way. I welcome anybody that wants to be here to work but not this way. America has its our own problems and the citizens pay taxes that are never used to help them. Instead the government gives money away to other countries like it’s nothing.
