I realize that some people are asses....that will never end. But the term racism is thrown around way too much. First of all, it’s tribalism and it’s a normal part of being human. Any thing that is ‘other’ or different will be viewed with suspicion and or dislike. It will never be stopped, it can’t be educated away and it can’t be made to go away by immersing people in multiculturalism. Think back to when you were a child even...seeing someone who was handicapped would make you wary of them. Now, when those normal perceptions cause you to treat someone bad or as a lesser person is when it becomes a problem. That CAN be educated away. But to attempt to make people feel bad because of there responses to the faces on the computer is ridiculous. EVERYONE, regardless of race, will have tendencies towards tribalistic thinking.

For all you all who deny white privelage. Did you this microcosm of the systemic racism and discrimination non whites face.

Racism in the West is so bad, but everyone wants a front row seat to the show. Try going to China or Turkey. How diverse are they? \n\nWhen the communities in question start policing their own and reduce the portion of their population that drives the stereotypes, the stereotypes will change. If you want to dress like someone who commits crimes, act like someone who commits crimes, and cry victim when you're judged as such, then you get what you deserve. \n\nBlack, White, Hispanic, or Asian with face tattoos and a gangster attitude gets judged. \n\nClean cut in a suit, well spoken, without seeking an issue gets judged differently. \n\nWhere's that social experiment? The native indian faces racism but he still favors whites over blacks. Blacks can trust no other minorities. They all feel bad and aspires to be white and would betray blacks every time. Even blacks discriminate against blacks when they are in authorative positions. Ann still would want to be with whites over blacks.

Unfortunately there is always going to be racism. The media play it up by always showing knife crime, drug dealing, mugging, terrorism etc by non whites. They don't show the accomplishments, all negative. So when a snap decision of trust/safety needs to be made by a white person they will recall the good, not the bad. Time is the great healer. More interracial marriages will educate the future generations not to believe the negative stereotypes.

Not even surprised haha in Saskatchewan and Alberta, the slight racism is just normal I am really experiencing . One day, I even got this situation that I went to Costco at Medicine Hat and one kid froze his face and said “ why are you guy shopping here if you don’t speak English “ and this episode is just not even level one.\nI really wonder how white people can say Canada is their country . It's a form of racism to be so intent on getting all white people to hate each other and themselves.

All my life I have dealt with racism in the US. Every.... single.... day! My kids have to deal with it in 2019.... 2019!!!!!! At work in retail, random driving, at work on the school bus with kids chanting “build the wall”, shopping in stores.... on TV with news that demonize us..... and I was an assistant manager at the store I still work at, and yes, a Black person with a big LV bag will be targeted while the actual thief that is White will get away with it. I am the only Hispanic and I am the only one over worked. And every time another minority applies, they last a week because they notice how they are also overworked and treated. Is this life Humane? We care so much for dogs..... they get better treatment! Right now, my dog has health insurance and my family of 6 don’t!

Don't ever ask a white person if there is racism in their town, city, country, why? Because they are not targeted so how would they know? I used to trip on people watching me when I was in stores, however today @ 53 I don't care, all I ever say is if they ever grab me then I will take action, until then I'll shop till I drop! The racism that goes on in the workplace as well as rentals will probably never end because some white people just don't want(minorities)around, and since there is no law on the books that says they have to then it will never change. The late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said that the Government could never make a law to govern the hearts of men, maybe it's because King knew back then that even though the majority of us might want change, there are still a lot of people who would not change simply because they don't know anything else, so anything short of an act of GOD they probably still would never make them change, because you can't force people to obey a law that in their hearts they feel is wrong!!!

The problem with the racisim test is , that Black skin absorbed more light and therefore is harder to read as oppose to lighter skin colors. Therefore, when a lighter skin person raised around lighter skin peoplelook at darker people they tend to gaze longer trying to figure them out through their micro expressions. Darker skin people on the otherhand raised around drker skinned people are expert on micro expressionand can judge more quickly. So, really this race test has nothing to do with racism, but perceptions of facial shadows.

Look it took me 5 ir 6 swipes to get back to the top of the comments, so let's be honest with each other here. RACISM is real and EVERYWHERE. Some just hide it better, others don't recognize that they, are sadly but truth is... As an American Citizen and Veteran, I use to wonder why so many family members and former soldiers would stay overseas after the military. That is till it was my turn..! I had my culture shock on my return to the States, I had gotten use to being judged on my merit and personality there instead of my color here. Hey, we even discriminate against our own race at times. Life is, What YOU Make It and How YOU Take It... Canada isn't as bad as here and other places I've been.

Im white I grew up in a town thats mostly black .you want to know about racism its on both sides no one called me by name its that white boy or you look good for a white boy and if i was in a store and 4or5 people asked if i needed help i would think they are doing there job or just wanted to be helpful but thats not the same thing as being followed racism is mostly a male thing from my experience

I was completely surprised to hear that this happens, continues to happen, especially in Canada. America is a country built on the backs of slaves and racism is rampant. This behavior is disgusting and to see a middle-age Black woman is not even safe is overwhelming. As I reach middle-age I continue to feel the same fears I did as a young woman. I live in America so I face racism and discrimination daily. I thought Canada was different, but I am glad to see Canada is attempting to fix the problem. America take notes.

Do this with women. I'm native but look white as my father is native my mother white. London ontario is a rough place. Sexism racism and classizm has huge effect here.

I seen one like this where the black guy was claiming racism because the store didnt ask him if he needed any help and they asked the white guy. If you look for racism you will find racism whether legit or not

Racism is jealousy.

This is not how you fight racism. You fight racism not by guilt tripping and causing outrage. You fight it by bringing unlikely people together to learn about each other to mitigate fear and misunderstanding. It doesn’t really help to point out these kinds of issues. It’s no surprise. We are all ignorant about something, someone’s physical features or cultures. The goal is to reduce ignorance and misunderstanding. This is just a gossip outrage piece. And these kinds of pieces are being pimped out. They are cheap.

From my experience in toronto white canadians displayed little or no racism towards me 20% was ok but the other 80% was ok

I am white and i get followed by floor walkers quite often by white, Asian and East Indians so should i call racism? the only people i hate are people that think women and children have no rights, fear mongers, people that promote separatism and people that think that they can own another human-being as slaves o and people that judge others but cant look in the mirror at the real issue before pointing the finger.

This can feel compelling however there is clear bias. Every store will have its own profile of who steals and it will vary from store to store. There are facts about crime as far as identifying what groups of people are committing what crimes. You can't just discard that information because you don't like it. Obviously blatant racism is wrong but not everything is defined by race.

Do you not see what happens when an area becomes filled with minorities? This is why this happens. Maybe they are trying to keep a balance to keep this from happening or who really knows..but one thing we know, a racism story really brings in the viewers doesn't it?? Hmmmmmm
