Indian government is not honest and never be honest in future, because the leaders are uneducated and selected from the gangs not from the universities. There are most difficult entrance tests for admission in IIT and AIIMS for developing a good engineer or doctor but there is no such test for selection of leaders of the countries. India is not growing but it is going down year by year because most of the citizens has been lost their culture. Today you are seeing one Khalistan demand in future you may see such voices from other states also because there is always injustice from the government side. The biggest problem of Punjab is drugs not electricity or good roads , there is no single institution in the country who is educating the teenagers about drugs with a dedicated one hour class in a school. The problem is not immigration. During the pandemic there was no immigration for a few years, yet the price of the houses increased by about 20% a year or more. The problem is demand and demand is hugely increased by investors. Investors don't live in the place and in many cases they don't even rent the place. At lease half of those seeking to buy houses are investors. Therefore investors double the demand.\n\nHouses are limited supply whereas investors are numerous and have access to unlimited money either cash or loan from banks. We have created a housing market. It means we made it something like share market where everyone can put their money in it and buy as many as they want. During the pandemic demand for toilet paper became very high and there were limited supply. Supermarkets limited one or 2 packs per customer because it would be unfair for some to stack most of the papers and others have none. Some customers wanted to buy tons and fill their homes with toilet paper and they did. House and land is limited too. Why can't we do the same for homes? Demand is important and always going to be there from those who want to move there and live in it. Investors buy many homes and bid higher in value than normal people because they have more money and they know the price will rise. They raise the demand sky high. Specially if they're foreign investors. They can buy hundreds of apartments or houses and leave it empty.\n\nAs I mentioned, we do need certain amount of demand for housing and that demand is going to be always there by people who want to buy and live in it whether they're local or immigrants. However, when many investors come in and they have greed, the demand becomes sky high and the price will become so high that only investors can afford them. Rent also depends on the value of the property. The higher the price, the higher the rent. So the issue is investors. Too many of them with too much greed.

American problem - you might have health coverage while you're working. But lose your job, your not only unemployed but you've no health care coverage. Double whamy.

Immigration is not the problem, managing the inflow of immigrant population in 1 particular city is the problem. \nNot sanctioning more good and reputed uni's and colleges outside of toronto is the problem. Not expanding and developing city outwards is again a HUGE mistake. Not keeping real estate price in check is again a HUGE HUGE problem. I married my spouse and moved to the United States from Canada. Before, I didn't give the US much thought and merely loved travelling to a few of the locations. Having said that, even after spending five years there, I have never witnessed a country and a population as divided as the US. You proudly display your flag, yet you're so racist, illiterate, and a bible-thumper that it disgusts me. The United States is not the most free country in the world, despite what the public believes and thinks. In reality, it is also depressing to observe how the healthcare system handles people. The social safety net is completely missing, and by that I mean that most jobs don't pay for maternity leaves or vacations unless you work at a senior level or for a high-end company. The political system is so rigged that it is understandable why people are tired of voting every two years, and perhaps even every year. Most certainly, especially since your elections begin almost exactly when the previous one finished. I suppose I could go on forever, but I'll stop here. Although Canada is not perfect, is not free from controversy or problems, and is not the best at everything, we are able to concede defeat, acknowledge that someone was wrong or that we might have done better, work together with one another, and express that we are SORRY. Yes, it is a word that is never used in the US, and that is also the issue. I'm pleased to be back in Canada, where I belong, and I regret ever leaving. Yes, returning to Canada feels peaceful and inviting compared to travelling to the US, where every trip involves an interrogation to ensure that you don't remain too long. There is no need to worry because I won't be returning to stay, only visit, as previously.

Again, multiple follow-ups and tests, and I've got a totally symptom-free outcome.\nI had a hip replacement a few years ago that went well and resulted in a totally pain free hip that allowed me to return to normal activities I could no longer enjoy before surgery.\nTotal cost in the US for both these types of surgeries would have likely been well over $100,000. The most I paid was for the hospital parking...\nIs it better in Canada? - Absolutely...!!!

I prefer the states. \nI've lived in a couple as I've said before and honestly.. it is better down there. \nI live in literally the most expensive city and Provence In Canada. \nI'm born and raised here and sure Americans have there problems but overall it was better everywhere I've lived in the states.\nHere it's just hidden by a smile.. \nWe've been known as a better country and lots of us can't admit it's as bad as it is here. I would never want to be American and have often thanked God that i was born in Canada. I have a lot of health problems due to an elderly women almost killing me in a car accident amongst other condotions. If i was American my family would be bankrupt. A nurse came from america to work here in canada due to their healthcare care system. Her hospital wouldnt admit the man dieing of a heart attack or even do cpr until they got the insurance info. She quit that day and came to canada that was the 90's\nMy family are also loyalists

90% of us live an hour from the border.. so it makes sense for us to use the social health care when we can. and if we REALLY need it. We can still go pay in the :USA.. My wife if from Mexico and when we have kids we are moving back to Canada so she gets paid $1400 a month or more to STAY home and take care of our children. once they are ready for school we are moving back to Mexico where we both want to be. Canada is just where we come when we need to make extra money with my job. Trudeau RUINED Canada beyond all repair. I can see a Neurologist in Mexico for $1500 pesos... $115CAD immediately. Canada that would be a solid 6 month process...1-2 months to see you family practician and then 3-6 months to hear back from a specialist....THEN another 1-2 month to go over results with your Doc again lol...its a joke. Doctors get paid everytime we swipe out health card.. so theres also a problem with them referring to their friends from school...rather than the BEST specialist for you.... first world problems..

I've never lived in the USA but I have visited. There is no way on earth I would live in the USA when people can open carry an AK-47 or have to pay the ridiculous prices for drugs and health care. You have , perhaps the most incompetent, complicated political system imaginable and a public with a severe attitude problem. You could not pay me enough to live there, I'm more than happy to live here in Canada.

Hi Tyler , I'm Canadian and i had to have emergency surgery to have a bad gallbladder removed, went in on a Friday evening was admited fairly quickly , had the surgery later that night ( 5 hours ,best sleep ever..lol) , recovery on the Sat and Sunday , and was out by Monday afternoon . While yes we have longer wait times for non life threating issues but when you are in danger our heath care is there . The biggest problem is that because it is free , ppl will go to the emergency room for minor things and tie up the system with trivial matters making the wait times longer.

The big problem with getting health care through your employer is...what if you hate your job? It may have sounded great at one time, but things change. Now you hate your job but you can't just quit because you'll loose your health care. You are now a slave to your job just so you can have health care.

Both Canada and America have huge problems right now. As a 73yo Canadian I have NEVER seen so much hate for our Government. Everyone has the exact same complaints, like it was scripted. Our press is constantly stirring the pot and it makes unsatisfied Canadians more angry every day. The negative press pounding on our PM never ends. There are YouTube channels that take every little Canadian fault and make it into the crime of the century. The problem with Canadian health care is a lack of doctors. It's not that Canadians don't become doctors, it's that many doctors move to the US because they can make more money there. \nI live in a small town that has a large hospital and it has pretty short wait times and the hospital has lots of space. We could easily accommodate overflow from surrounding communities, but we have a lack of staff to do so. So there are a couple wings of the hospital that are completely empty as a result. The hospital itself is well maintained, new looking, lots of art on the walls and mood lighting. It's a very pleasant place to visit. Every time I've gone in for an emergency, they've been able to get me into surgery within a few hours, but booking a surgery for something that's not life threatening takes about 3-4 months. But that's because they have to leave space just in case there are emergencies that come in. With more staff, they could easily cut wait times in half.

They are able to refer you to a work history that is BEST for the patient. There's very little bragging about how many appendectomies you did today. Doctor x gets a negotiated salary. That means there's no spedway operating rooms, unless that's the case, at the moment. I'm such a klutz, I would either die from poverty, or starve to death, to meet the payments to stay alive. don't count a place out until you've been there. yeah toronto is seeing more crime and is more expensive than ever, but e.g., vancouver, which is a lot smaller, more peaceful, easier to get around, may actually still not be necessarily better (real estate is just as expensive, hard to make friends, rains and snows in the winter now, everything closes super early), but you really gotta try a place and go with where you love. LA is full of problems, but I really love it there.

No matter what anyone thinks but a BJP Government in punjab is the necessary to sort the problems, all other parties implement policies just for appeasement not for actual ground work. Long tern policies would be bit painful but will sort most of the problems of Punjab.

My wife works with immigrants to help them deal with various problems adapting, finding housing, cars, translating,etc. Over time we’ve become friends with the community. The Venezuelans have stood out as very fine potential citizens. Their plight is especially dire. Most were skilled professionals driven from their country by massive inflation, and they lost everything they had as a result. Homes, cars, savings. You can’t rebuild a country when all the government is broken and you can’t feed your family. They will make fine citizens.
