3 in 4 Canadians are immigrants wow. Housing may be a problem but who pays taxes in Canada. Want low taxes have more children that will grow up and pay taxes or don’t allow immigrants and pay more and more and more until there is no money or people. Make a choice but don’t blame it on immigrants.

Also I read that 40% of the immigrates that come to Canada leave due to those 2 crisis and no employment for professionals, I.E Doctor, nurses etc. I also noticed in the News there are increased in Hate Crimes

We need imagrints but we don't have the housing.we got thousands of low income Canadians living in tents.while imagrints are taking low price homes and apartments because they will pay more with 5 to ten in same house a single income family can't compete.

Not just the housing crisis, but just the general economy. Immigration in the current circumstances is nothing more than a threat of allowing ideological extremists and other such 'enemies' into our country, while simultaneously making everything more expensive for the average Canadian, ON TOP OF our tax dollars being funneled into wars halfway across the globe that *DO NOT CONCERN US,* and probably diverting a significant portion of that into hidden accounts of our 'supreme leaders', and finally 'Multiculturalism' is just a failed experiment that weakens our values, culture, and ethics.\n\nI don't hate or blame the individuals that are coming here because they aren't the ones at fault, they're just reacting to world circumstances. Wow, who knew that supply and demand also affected housing? When you combine an influx of foreigners with ridiculous taxes and red tape, it's really not hard to understand why housing is so unaffordable. I bought my house in 2017, only 2 years after Trudeau came to power. Today, I would not be able to afford the same house.

The real problem is that there is to much red tap when it comes to building more houses .

I was born in Canada, my Mom was too. Yet things are getting so out of hand with the price of living we have to leave the city ive spent my entire life in, to try and find cheaper housing elsewhere.

Of course it is! GTA was already becoming overpopulated. Now after these waves of immigrants in the last 5-6 years, it has become unlivable. Everything is buckling under this weight. Why didn't the government send new immigrants to places where they actually need people? Like you know...anywhere outside of GTA? It reeks of incompetence. How does bringing more people here help housing? More people means more homes needed driving up the cost. We dont need diversity! This is my home and Im sick of othrr cultures that are not compatible. Things like common courtesy is not common in other cultures. Dont need honor killings or cuvil wars brought here nor do we need war criminals. I dont want to wake up one day and find my home is taken over like the Turks took over Byzantium. I also do not want to deal with foreigners who expect us to change our ways to not offend them. A refugee should only be welcomed until its safe to go home, not stay here.

Im not against immigration and multiculturalism but is unfair to bring people to Canada promising a brighter future and having them face hardships of our housing prices, high cost of food, failing medical system. Insuring a disadvantaged Canadian population.

It not only causes housing crisis. Massive immigrants without proper background checking and work skill screening lead to higher unemployment rate and higher crime rate.

The other 25% already own a house. Immigration is too high and needs to be tamed down untill this housing crunch is remedied

My neighborhood had a big influx of immigrants moving in and I can see the difference they brought, they never cut grass, leave garbage out on lawn, they use the creeks as their own waste dump they give off looks at you like you're a problem in your own country, they stare in a very creepy manor at women, I had one stand at the end of my driveway and film my house, like just weird shit all the time. Not to mention there always seems to be like 12 of them living in a basment apartment, half probably cant speak english or even have a legit reason to be in Canada, then you see them bagging for money and its like why are they even here if you cant afford to live here? \nImmigration at this point is an insult to Canadians and to the ones who legally immigrated and wanted to be apart of canadian culture.

Why does Canada need Immigration? The Gap between Canadians who are retiring and those who are in the workforce (and hence are paying taxes) or are supposed to enter is increasing. There are more Canadians retiring than those working. Result? The Canadian government has less tax revenue (and perhaps more expenditure as a result of Increased pensions etc.). So now, either the government has to Increase Taxes (More taxes? Hell no!!) or bring in New Immigrants to increase the tax-paying workforce of the Canadian Economy. Hence, immigrants are needed and the political parties including Conservative, Liberal, NDP, etc. know this and are inviting immigrants in record numbers. The issue is too much red tape in Building housing options in Canada, not immigrants

The liberals’ crazy aggressive immigration targets make everyone’s life miserable except for the rich and powerful. More people means more cash cows for them. Without sufficient infrastructure to support this kind of population growth, the GDP per capita has been dropping and housing costs have gone through the roof due to the great gap between supply and demand. The politicians only talk about the shortage of supply but let’s face it they can never build faster enough for the people they bring in. As a result, people will keep fighting for the scarcity and fuel on the Canadian housing speculation.

Me and wife are nurses and we are living very cheap lifestyle to save money and leave Canada. Taxes are insane, housing is super expensive, insurance, groceries, utilities etc are super expensive.

When I bought my house years ago, I took out a 20 year mortgage and at the end of that 20 years I owned my home, my kids will have to take out a 100 year mortgage and long after they are dead THEIR children will be paying for it. \nWe are taxed on EVERYTHING ! Immigrants bring billions of dollars to the Canadian government every year. Immigrants pay 3x more than Canadians for college tuition. Permanent resident application is over 1.5 k, if you pay a consultant or immigration lawyer, it goes up to 2k to 5k, work permit application 150, study permit 150, plus biometrics 80 cad, plus 1.2 k for a room per month, plus food, plus 200 dollars for the bus per month. I still wanna know where all this money goes. It should be invested in healthcare and housing.

most countries after the pandemic experience poverty. We are allowed to say pretty much what we want. We don't have to sell our house if somebody has cancer or get in financial crisis. Most countries has had their house value up the past years. People are friendly they just don't want to bother. Our Politics are not perfect but hate speech and fake news needs to be sorted out. We need to stay focussed on what we represent. There is SO many job opportunities right now it's insane. I guess it's a question of perspective.

A massive reason for inflation is mass immigration. We don't have enough housing. We don't have enough jobs. We have a terrible government who has destroyed everything. I would appreciate many going back home

Canada should stop all immigration - temporary and permanent residency for two years until we figure out housing situation.
