I am Canadian and left in 2003 to learn Chinese. I now work in Asia and best decision I ever made. I now go back ever summer to see family. Canada is a-have-not economy compared to the rest of the world.

Canada has no money for this, we are in debt, so we have to borrow money and cannot take in an endless hoard of people. We have a severe lack of housing for citizens.

People who *come to Canada* now are misguided, mislead, misinformed and mostly miserable!

I’m an immigrant of two years from the UK. I have to say at the time of moving due to Covid everything was expensive throughout the world and there was uncertainty in most things. Myself and my wife now have our own businesses as we found that the system here does not favour immigrants in getting the jobs Canada claims it needs to fill. The reality is the government and unions don’t want educated people to fill mid to high paying jobs and it’s impossible to get jobs in teaching, nursing, doctors etc if you are not educated here. The government wants immigrants to populate and work the low paid jobs even if they have a bachelor, mba or phd.

This is the dark side of Canada and I don’t just mean Brampton ??

It's not only people who are leaving, even big corp. like Sears, Target , HSBC, Lowe's and most recently Nordstrom. They figured how hard to make money here in Canada. and I figured it too that's why I'm leaving.

Prices went up at every country after pandemic, so don't get fooled about it. Salaries are not better in Europe either. Housing, owning it is worse in Europe, so Canada shines.\nBut I agree for experience and degrees. Degree doesn't add any value at all. Canada, lease do NOT get them from those Islamic countries. I love Canada and I love the fact its mixing so many cultures in together, but we just can't keep up at the current pace. Another thing lots of people have an issue with is the lack of diversity in the immigrants. Our services and lifestyles are being strained to the point where people are getting sick of it, put a cap on each country and only allow that cap to be broken for asylum seekers/refugees. Seriously, if you're coming from another country, and under the impression that you'll have a better life in Canada, you're wrong, and about 20 years too late. This country is an absolute mess right now, and it'll only get worse in the short term. If your mind is truly set on coming here, wait a few years. If you come now, you're going to be sorely disappointed. And broke. And possibly homeless.
