I've been to all the major cities and even I wonder how people survive on low paying jobs, what some people pay for a Studio in a major city could afford a house elsewhere. It also seems the bigger the city, the more segregated it is, I mean you have a Chinatown in almost every metropolis I've been to. NYC Public Transportation was disgusting...Tokyo was immaculate. I think that's one of the largest problems in the United States. To be a real estate developer or landlord, I want to make good money.\n\nIf the cost of the 20 building complex costs me $125 million, I will set the majority of those to elegance and people willing to pay for that. But it seems quite greedy to charge exorbant rents and continue having that cost go up every year.\n\nIf mortgages in a median area are $2500, let me set the rent to maybe $1500 to $1800. But that's not the case!\n\nRenting, the cost of the apartment NEVER caps off! This is outrageous. However, my American daughter received her degree by working 60 hours a week, driving 2 hours a day . She had a full scholarship for tuition which 42:36 was not near enough. But she does mot have any student debt. She also has a wonderful career in teaching of which she does not get paid enough and today risks her life to do what she loves and was born to do.

I always wonder how does Canada welcome 440,000 immigrants coming from overseas every year despite the housing crisis, lack of adequate jobs, poor health care system with very less number of doctors & health practitioners, weak economy, expensive cost of living triggering people to skip meals and leading them to malnutrition, extravagant taxation and very restrictive policy on hiring professional workers. How come a country in such a dire situation accommodate to welcome nearly half a million immigrants annually ?

I'm a doctor, I didn't get any decent job in Canada despite arriving as a PR. The Canadian system is really messed up. I'm now back in my home country and enjoy a wonderful job with a top conglomerate.

Quebec is wonderful, because the Federal government taxes the successful provinces and transfers the money to Quebec, Alberta has paid more money to support Quebec's standard of living than Quebec has. As have BC and Ontario. Sorry, but as a Province, Quebec is the unreliable brother in law nobody likes.

If you had actually lived in the USA for a while you would know that Americans don't wear shoes in bed, that's just on TV which is heavily scripted. Not all Walmarts sell guns, it depends on state laws. You'll be definitely asked for an ID when buying a gun. Of course they are a lot of loopholes like background checks delays and gun shows that are not particularly regulated. Nevertheless, now I am wondering about the seriousness and accuracy of your research on those subjects.

This is how our Embassy helps us in foreign countries. This was not the only instance. The Indian Embassy always avoids us at first whenever we approach them for any help be it Ukraine or Afghanistan. These piece of sh!ts behave like The US Embassy but don't even know how US Embassy helps Americans in foreign countries. No wonder why nobody gives a sh!t if you get harassed in a foreign country and threaten to call the Indian Embassy. Even people in small African countries know how incompetent Indian Embassy is. I live in a small town in Ontario with not many immigrants. I always hear people in the media or politics talking about minority groups and wonder if people from other places feel set apart. I find it a real challenge mentally to not think about it if I see someone who looks different from me…. Like it weighs on my mind, but meanwhile I just want to treat people the same… I think everyone who comes to Canada legally should feel like a part of the country. The problem is apparently the lack of people in Canada having kids. Some are trying, but unable (infertile for whatever reason), while others don't want children for various reasons, including the cost to raise them. So the government is resorting to ever increasing numbers of immigration to supply the economy with workers. This has been going on for quite a long time, though the numbers have increased dramatically in recent years. I wonder if the government has statistics on the success rate of those they bring into the country? And others have posted here the question of being able to deliver the services all these new comers will need. It's a valid concern.
