Wow Canada. I guess you're just as bad as the states. Only difference is that you portrayed a picture of kindness. Now I know the people censored are representing your country but its saying quite a lot.

GET OUT.\nhe thinks he can sneek into canada, after sneaking into the states and taking jobs from them, and doesn't like that he is most likely going to be deported? Go away. Follow the rules and law.

Canada is full of racism and that’s a fact. There is not much of the difference with the States either. Only difference is that Canada’s racism comes in the form institutional and systemic racism. The states have a way bigger platform than Canada so their situations regarding racism will be covered more than Canada’s and also Canada hides behind the “it’s such a diverse country” statement to diverge from the issue of racism. Ask yourself this- Which country do you see a wider diverse representation of, concerning the people in power? In Toronto we just had our first black police chief(which was a big thing here) a few years back while in the States they’ve been having people of colour and many minorities in power. Representation of different ethnic backgrounds is an issue here but nevertheless the states still have a long way to go with racism. I love Canada so much but there is absolutely racism that this country will not bother to even acknowledge

Canada is NO different than the states. I live in BC and if Donald Trump came to my town, he would get the warmest welcome he ever had. Everybody here thinks he is the second coming of christ. My Canadian community is all about racism. No protests going on around here. Everyone here sez lock up the protesters. I hate this place.

Cool video! I'm from the United States, and I've been to Canada back in May 2001. I was 11 at the time, but it was part of a 3-day trip with my elementary school. We were in Toronto. I miss my experience there so much. Although I'm not a fan of cold weather, I would love to be back in Canada because new healthcare here in the U.S is too hard for me to get. I typed this comment on May 31st 2020 when at the time violence and riots are occurring in the United States cause of police brutality......again! + COVID-19's still a major issue.

In the United States the guy would lose his money and spend long jail time very weak from Canada ??

I personally know one of the fake Bangladeshi Canadian immigration attorney ( so called Barrister), he’s commenting human trafficking from USA to Canada his name is Delowar Hossain. His cell#437-220-1502, he’s taking illegal people from N Y state entering them in the Canada ?? and taking $20k-30k. Please catch him,

Damn this video making my country Canada seem way better then the states but trust me weather probably makes one of the biggest difference

Gun control laws are also different. Canada is strict and some states are more strict than others. Yet firearms have much to do with the founding of the USA, not so true for Canada.

Friendly? Polite, perhaps. You have to love the reserve of Canadians, but they're not as engaging as folks in the States. Furthermore, while Canada is perceived as friendly, when it comes to cities, those in the Southern US consistently rank among the world's friendliest and most polite. Many, of course, can be violent. Also, are you serious about the shared tipping culture? And the bit on service? Your vid was solid and magnanimous, but on those points you missed the mark. Badly.

well why not just become like canada\npeople want to be in the States too though

I thought Canada was the 51th state of US
2020-04-14 0
Our head of state in Canada is her majesty the Queen Elizabeth II , not the prime Minister. So president and prime minister are not at equal status

At least two more differences between the US and Canada (I'm a Montrealer myself with American-born parents):\n\n1) When going to the different parts of Canada, they feel that much more different from each other (in the buildings, highway signs, etc.) than the different parts of the US. For example, British Columbia feels like a foreign country compared to not just Quebec (the most obviously different province in Canada) but also compared to Nova Scotia or Manitoba, whereas Washington state or Minnesota is less different than Pennsylvania or Massachusetts.\n\n2) Native Americans (or First Nations, as they're called in Canada) make up a way higher proportion of the Canadian than American population, though less so percentage-wise in Montreal or Toronto or even Quebec City, and they are thus much more in the consciousness of the average Canadian than the average American.

I’m dual citizenship, I live in the states now. DO NOT FALL FOR THE FREE HEALTH CARE!!!! It is NOT FREE!! You pay 14+ consumption tax and 40 - 50 percent income tax. It’s public, so you wait for everything. Yes the drs and nurses are great, but they work in constructed socialized system. They need to ration their time and services. I have experienced both and Canada is by far inferior to the USA

From the States: It's really nice to have a video like this. Thanks Drew for exposing the similarities and differences of our neighbor, Canada.

One things is that canadians like to compare canada and America (united states) americans not so much also Canadians seem to really dislike the United states America not so much
2020-04-10 0
The official languages in Canada are English and French. The US has no official language federally. While some states declared English their official language.

Also doesn't Canada uses kilometres, kilograms and litres and the United States use miles, pounds and gallons?

There’s a common saying which states that the difference between Canadians and Americans is that “while Americans side with their fellow citizens against the government, Canadians side with their government against their fellow citizens.” This is stereotype is the best explanation as to why Canada can’t see to develop a viable market economy or compete with other nations on innovations in STEM or the arts. The problem with Canada is that it never developed a culture outside of “not being American” and the result is that their government has been allowed to grow to an enormous size and basically strangle all of the talent out of the country. Canada, despite the fact that it’s an English speaking country on the North American continent, is virtually nothing like America is any sense of the term, and actually has more in common with Scandinavia than it does with the country that borders it’s south.

I love both countries. I have been living in the states for the last 4 years and been in Canada 3 times . I am from Algeria. I love these two countries and wish all the world become like Canada and the U.S in term of friendship . Open border, no wars, business going so well between those two countries and so on.

The single biggest difference influences all the other differences and that is Canada is part of the UK Commonwealth and the Queen is the head of state while the USA rejected England (UK) and devised a government like no other at the time. Thus Canadians and their customs are much more closely related to the UK than the USA.

There is a huge difference in their immigration policies too, in America people are kind of expected to assimilate. Whereas in Canada people are encouraged to be distinct culturally. Lived in both states and Canada, currently a resident of Canada so can tell this difference with my own experience. ♥️??

Is Minnesota in United States or Canada?
2020-04-09 0
How many US states shares border with Canada?

A main difference is that Canada is better because hey, Canada has still the crown as their head of state\n\nEnd.

As a Canadian who has traveled to 12/13 provinces/territories (sorry NFLD) and all regions of the mainland USA I have couple comments. First, both Canada and the USA the accents and culture are very different depending on the area (another similarity!). People from Vermont have more in common with people from New Brunswick than they do with their fellow Americans in Texas. People from British Columbia have more in common with people from Washington than they do with Quebeckers. Second, I actually find that Americans are super friendly in some states, more outgoing than Canadians (like say Tennessee). Also, Drew, if you ever want to go to the Far North in Canada it's a whole other world of Inuit people speaking Inuktitut on Baffin Island - for me that area seems like another country!

Canada: Nice people, hockey, maple syrup and cold weather\nUnited States: The greatest country in the history of mankind

I was born and raised in the US but I have been going to Canada for my entire life. I live here now because of college and I love the US a little more because that was home. But where I live in Toronto, is pretty diverse. Canadians are nicer but so are Americans but are more racist down south. Canada's government is led by a real leader but the States is led by an idiotic annoying orange.
2020-04-09 1
Drew, there are plenty of Tim Horton's in the US, especially in NY. And the Head of State in Canada is the Queen, not the PM.
2020-04-09 12
Canada is honestly better, and I'm from the states.
2020-04-09 0
when stated i like both us and canada very much i would say the same since i am canadian and pretty much agreed on every point in the video

I went to 5 states so far. But I never went to Canada!

Canada should be the 51. state :D

Being black in this planet either in Europe or Canada or United States it's a mind boggling affair because of the systemic racism that runs rampant in white society, they suffer from cognitive dissonance that so call white privilege.
2020-03-31 0
Does canada exist? I think it is just an extension of Washington State the region you are talking about.

Why they need armed guards in Canada? Thought treudeu would have bongos and welcome wagons! New York State a liberal crap hole we welcome them to leave the United States. Surprised soy boy hasn’t disarmed Canada yet!
2020-03-17 0
Maybe Canada, or a private citizen/group, should sue Clinton County of New York State for creating a health hazard for Canadians by allowing illegal immigrants to travel to the illegal border crossing. It might seem petty but it just might prompt some type of reaction.
2020-03-17 0
Truth = Hate speach so watch out. The real story may end up being that Canada has spent 100’s of millions of dollars for unqualified illegals beacause of Trudeau’s self protion campaign but Canada’s Dr’s have adamantly stated the healthcare system is always operating at 100% capacity. When people start dying because there are not enough resources to save them it will get ugly. The money spent on unqualified illegals not facing death or oppression and a governments obsession on self promotion instead of healthcare infrastructure will not make for a great legacy with an avoidable death count.

I’m so sorry for all of you precious people of Canada! You’re our neighbors (the state of Tennessee USA here) and we see you’re having to put up with everything the Democrats want to do to us if they come into power this November. (The only way they could do that is voter fraud, which is exactly what happened in what we call the mid-term elections in November 2018, when some House of Representatives and Senate seats come open in the two-year cycle halfway thru the Presidential elections - that’s how they won the House back) \n\nThat poor displaced family, though. Bless them; officials need to get to the bottom of where they’ve been, where they actually have citizenship, and attend to them properly and GET CANADIANS HOME! President Trump needs to go up there and jerk a knot in Mr. Trudeau’s rear end. (That’s an old country Southern saying; don’t overthink it please!?? We finally have a President who may be a little bristly, but he loves America and Americans and he is working hard for us!)\n\nBut seriously, wish you much success and although I can’t monetarily, our greatest weapon is prayer and my armor is on (Ephesians 6)!!! Keean, you’ve stepped up to the plate because you love Canada and want to do what’s right by her! You’re doing a wonderful job - “absolutely fantastic” as my YouTube friend Mentour pilot would say. So we hope the situation gets resolved quickly, because this virus is taking its toll on everyone in more ways than one, and in ways we’ve not even seen yet and have no way to predict. Keep looking up though! And make sure you belong to Jesus Christ . Amen!

28.58, unpopular opinion, its called jilbab not hijab and it's not required to be worn. In fact its states you should not wear something which will bring attention to yourself. Thus, when she wears the hijab here it's her fault bc it's not required. As it's not normal and doesn't fit the norms in Canada. However if shes from arab she must bc that's the culture there. That's what the quran states. Her wearing the jilbab brought unwanted attention.

Soon Canada will become Islamic state after they allowed Muslim Immigrants and refugees including ISIS prisoners. Future of Canada is Syria
2020-01-29 1
Muslim Woman in the interview said the wearing of the hijab was her personal choice. shes a liar the wearing of the hijab is an obligation . Muslims are taught that non Muslims are dirty to there soul .Canada has committed suicide and in fifty years Canada will be an Islamic state unless Canada bans the burka and the hijab and Islamic courts Winston Churchill said in 1899 where ever you find Muslims in the minority they talk about equal rights when Muslims are in the majority there is no equal rights.Hungry and Poland wont take these Muslim immigrants/ refugees the only christian country in the middle east Lebanon took in Muslim Refugees now look at that place that is your future.research look up christian prince on you-tube Acts 17 apologetic soco films speakers corner.Beware Evangelist Muslims ie dawah team Liars the lot of them do your own research if you dont believe me

Hello, I just watched your video. Three years after you made it. I hope you are still with us and a very belated Welcome. Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat. Celebrating obesity is absolutely insane and it sends the wrong message to young people. If a close one is fat of course I love them but I also tell them privately that they are a walking heart attack. It's more than OK to accept someone the way they are but as a friend or family member you doing them a disservice by not mentioning their obesity. \nI'm sorry if you feel I'm being to harsh or critical. I think it is a wonderful thing to share the world's longest border with such a great nation as Canada. I have always thought Canada was like the United States fraternal brother or sister. We are very much alike with a few beautiful differences that distinguishes from one another. It doesn't appear that you upload videos hear anymore but I hope you get the opportunity to read this. Thank you for coming to the United States and I love all my canadian brothers and sisters. Take care.
