I’m a local Canadian and I very much agree with you. I’m planning on leaving as well and never moving back here. Canada used to be nice but now it’s just extremely expensive, residents are RIDICULOUSLY overtaxed, we’re not getting back the value of what we were taxed for, large cities like Toronto are overpopulated and thus the culture is highly diluted, left wing government, not to mention the cold wet and dark winters these days :(

I live in germany and am currently struggling so much with coming to terms that I have to live here. The government and media‘s attitude towards the Palestinian struggle is so frustrating to witness. I‘m not too religious and don‘t wear the hijab, but still the societal shift against anything non-european is being felt by all of my peers and myself. I moved out of Canada in 2023 due to the high living costs, after nearly a decade. Taxes are super high as you start making a bit more of money, healthcare is precarious (talk about preventative medicine… non-existing in Canada) and the real estate market is just the cherry on top. Making 200k plus I couldn’t buy a condo anywhere for me and my wife without accruing a lot of debt, at least a 2/3 bedroom as we both work from home. Even cities like Calgary, known before for cheap rent, have doubled the prices. \n\nToronto and Vancouver are blatantly used for money laundering and the government doesn’t care. Prices as a result have super inflated and people doing any type of decent work are the ones to pay for it. \n\nCanada is amazing if you are either VERY poor or VERY rich. The rest is better off moving elsewhere

My parents migrated from Pakistan to UK in the 1960s, they were the minority Muslims, but pioneers in establishing mosques, halal food in all educational establishments, many work places and major food outlets in majority Muslim areas. They also established Salah places in work and education and public buildings, and also the rights to practice your faith and take time for Salah in working hours.\n\nNow, my family are the fifth settled generation and alhamdolillah, we have many madrassas, islamic schools, and children becoming Hafiz. \n\nWe live in harmony with non Muslims and many are converting daily, the question is if there was no Muslims, how would the Deen be shown and expand in non Muslims countries. Even our Sahabahs went into the world to teach and expand our beautiful faith Islam.\n\nMany Islamic countries are only Islamic my name, they are the biggest contributers to the genocide, as they have not spoken up or helped their Muslim ummah in Palestine. You will also find many covert doctrines in their governments that you may not agree with.\n\nLastly, many Muslim children attend public schools and are being exposed to the LGBT community and we as Muslim parents are teaching them in our homes from a young age, that in islam there is only a man and a woman and no third gender and only a man can marry a woman.\n\nYou can have the best of intentions but you can wrap your children and one day they will be exposed to what is not Islamic, and they need to be taught how to deal with it and hopefully, by showing them their own Islamic values, hopefully also change people's perceptions as they come into Islam.\n\nMaybe, if you stayed in Canada, you could establish an islamic school for your children and other Muslim children to attend, look around where you live, see where you can establish prayer areas, talk to the mall managers and finance prayer rooms, talk to schools, public restaurants, and establish halal foods. Please look at what has been achieved in the UK and you are at the beginning of that in Canada, and think of the Islamic foundation you are setting the future generations of Muslims and also many more Muslims who may convert one day. insha'Allah

If i may suggest you to go check my country Indonesia or my neighbor Malaysia. You can hear calling for pray 5x a day, mosques are everywhere, halal food also everywhere. A lot of choice of education for your children, generally or Islamic ones. And most important thing is the people and government against genocide. We don't have any diplomatic relationship and never acknowledge the state of IsNotReal. Also 1 more thing, living cost here is relatively low compare to Canada or any other countries. Every parent knows what is best for their children and families. I live in Pakistan 2. Me and my brother were born in US to Pakistani parents. My mom didn't want to leave US but my dad said there is no religious environment there plus our whole family lives in Pakistan and didn't want us to grow there. Our apartment owner who was Christian was not letting us go. He said that u guys r such an amazing people, good Muslims, nice to everyone and take Care for everyone. It was really hard for both of my parents but Allah made it easy for us. My mom passed away when I was 18 and my brother 15 and I really miss her. My option is u can guys move to Pakistan. U can get Islamic education + Islamic environment. No matter how bad our politics, government doesn't care about Its own country and no cleanliness but I still love Pakistan. I really respect you guys for making such a hardest decision with strength. I really support you guys with this decision. I am a Christian, and I totally understand why you would want to move. Western society is going crazy as far as I can tell. It seems like people snapped into a state of crazy after being locked up for Covid. I live in Georgia, USA, and I agree with you about the genocide that our government is also turning a blind eye to the truth. I just don't understand why people can be full of such hate. I am so ashamed of our government. I am older, and I worry about my great granddaughter who will start school next year. I see so much of this transgender being pushed on public school children. I just can't understand what a person's sex preference has to do with preschool or any public education. This is something that should be handled at home by a parent or parents. \nI could not even imagine what you go through trying to find a safe place to pray 5 times a day. It's easy for people like me to just look around and see the Christmas decorations that are everywhere but disregard what other religions feel like when they are never considered as a part of the community. I will pray for your family to be able to live where you hear the call to prayer 5 times a day and find somewhere warm on that I agree. I hate the cold.

I am Malaysian, with Malaysian mom and Pakistani dad. 20 years ago my extended families in Pakistan moved to Canada and started life from scratch. Everything was kinda smooth but ever since the government supports genocide, they decided to leave Canada settle down in another muslim country so this would be their second hijrah. The reason why the Canadian government isn't building new homes is for the same reason that other countries in the West aren't either ...they expect the indigenous peoples to die out by 2027 which will leave plenty of room for the replacement population....

The definition of a canadain is an american without a gun and public health care... otherwise it is hard to tell the difference.... Canada has almost 9 months of winter and 3 months of bad skating... The province of Quebec which is still part of canada (don't tell them that) has the language police to be as anti-american and any democratic as possible, they only tolerate english if it is in US$ and tax other taxes with the most expensive bloated government of any state north of Mexico. The cartels are envious... all things purchased are imported (except animals and greenhouse tomatoes)are american with the exchange rate of almost 33%... If you are a doctor or nurse or medical specialist trained in western medicine like Europe, Australia, etc. You almost have to start over.... SAD. As for you making friends, you seem to be very Americanized, speak English well and not so traditional except for being married... you would make a lot of people comfortable among traditional Canadians... just my after thoughts...
