I left Canada 15 years ago, initially with the perception that Canada by and large did everything better than everywhere else. I found our quickly that this was absolutely not the case, with Canada’s shortcomings being easily apparent. As I visited “home” every year the downhill trajectory was more and more apparent, to the point where I would have no desire to go back if not to visit family. Canadian health care is mediocre, transit is inefficient, culture and quality of life are virtually non-existent. Get out while you can people, there is nothing in Canada that you can’t find better elsewhere.

The fact that Tyler is surprised at how many people bring up school shootings as a reason to stay away from the US is a scary indication of how much this type of violence has become normalized. I'm Canadian and throughout my professional life I've spent time working in the US. In fairness, I've met some truly great people. Also in fairness, religion seeps into US politics in ways that it never does in Canada and never in a good way. Christian fundamentalism is a scary reality of US life intent as it is on heaping hate on sexual minorities and taking away rights wherever they are allowed to. An additional point, but this one is only an irritant, is how ignorant so many Americans are about the world. At any rate, I'm retired and live with advanced kidney disease and a pacemaker. For those reasons alone I couldn't afford to live in the US. Thankfully, my country takes good care of me and my provincial government (Québec) even covers most of the cost of my expensive prescription drugs.

Dude you’re about to have the shock of your life!! All the points you mentioned here pretty much are a copy paste in Canada, cherry on the top is crappy weather. If the points you mentioned in your video are actually your concerns then you either need to look for opportunities in the UK or USA. You’ll find yourself where you are currently in 2 years in Canada as well and then you’ll be making another video about moving to US or UK. I kind of understand this as I now personally know 3 people who’ve done the same journey i.e. move from Australia to Canada or vice versa. In any case good luck!

Peter might be right in some aspect. However, if he believe at any point the system is working against his plans for life, he should come back to Nigeria. He mentioned the number of cars and who he was in Nigeria, but still decided to migrate. Some people here are typing that he is on point. Oga you are not on point. Your points are pointless. You think it is Nigeria that people don’t take their job serious. \nThe funny part of the video is when he compared salaries ??, na frustration wan kill Peter for Canada ??\nHe thinks he will be accorded the same recognition he had in Nigeria. Stop discouraging people, allow people to sell their things as you did and migrate because of their children as you did.

You talk too much in your video.. You can go straight to the point... When you talk too much, people get tired and leave without completing the video

I think you got it wrong with giving the point to Canada for healthcare. I lived the majority of my life in Canada paying punishingly high taxes fir our glorious “free healthcare “? You know the one where you wait for 9 months to get a cat scan and then another 5 to get it analyzed. Here in the USA as a working professional I pay a modest buy up fee to my employer’s healthcare provider and actually get to see a doctor in a timely manner and have standard procedures done quickly. Not the case in good old Canada.

Well said! Extremely valid point. Good job! Very true. Basically either work there for 3-4 years earn and come home or don’t go at all. ?

My point of view....\nIn Canada no language barrier as compared to Europe. If you can communicate in English then it's very comfortable in Canada.\nEveryone is very hardworking, their weddings are simple.\nThey don't spend too much on clothes.....no show off.\nWe need to be more adaptable. \nNot to fuss to much over the food. Be joyful and enjoy the beauty of Canada.\nDelhi is very comfortable.\nGood local transport, domestic helps , good hospitals and vibrant markets.....but the climate is too hot and too cold and the poverty ,air, noise pollution is bit too much. \nUpper middle class is a very happy space in India.\n\nIf health remains okay.... explore and appreciate the new place and their culture.\nIn India too much focus on food... that's why adjustment problems.( within the family also)\nI love the diversity, care for the huma life ,infrastructure and work culture of Canada.\nAbove all very handicapped friendly country.\nPeople are very polite.\n\nTrip to Canada has become very expensive ?\n\nAs a guest we too have a responsibility to make our host feel good and be an asset in whatever way we can contribute.

Thanks for sharing your experience and truly agree to your point of acquiring more financial knowledge for better returns. ?

I feel it’s almost an issue to point out that the average price of a home in Ontario is largely dictated by Toronto, it’s housing prices are head and shoulders above the rest of Ontario and you can get a home for half or less than half of what a condo is worth in Toronto. That city is a nightmare bubble of bullshit and affects statistics way too much
2023-09-08 0
Very good knowledge, you both are great, true story you said, every point i hear , financial knowledge very good you said

Wages are low and 3 to 4 months of life every year is wasted in the snow. What's the point to live in Canada ?
2023-09-07 0
few points\n\n1. Trucking Operators/Restaurants are selling LMIA to totally unqualified people and using this bad moneys towards housing, few times buying 2nd and 3rd houses, very common in businesses operated by people from India/China. Government is totally blind\n2. Newly popped up colleges are offering totally useless courses to international students and probably funding some money to politicians , so they want Government to still have the barrages open for fresh out of school students and blue colored workers.\n3. These international students are not very qualified at the end of their courses and can only contribute to the economy to some extent , not a very productive and creative talent\n4. Totally unreported/un-taxed rental income is an another factor in bringing up an inflation, some people have more money, then they report.\n5. Governments priority seems to get people with beginner level skills/blue collars/restaurant workers , and not a real talent. They cannot create businesses.

Deport all these people every single one of them that illegally entered the US! We cannot substantiate Noor house all these illegal immigrants that are flooding the borders! All they are going to do is get free assistance from the government to stay here and frankly it's not fair for the legal citizens that have to work their ass off to get here the right way! If you're freeing from tyranny from your other country then come here the points of Entry this is going to collapse our economy and frankly we don't know who we're letting in! So Deport all these illegal immigrants that are flooding in our country when we have no idea who they are!

Show the first border that's gonna let Americans come break thru& give us housing, medical, jobs and no taxes...and even have a business for your family so that generations can have wealth & get all the benefits....point me to that border ....that sea shore...WE CANNOT TAKE IN ANYMORE PEOPLE WHERE WILL WE GO AS AMERICANS

Canada has a massive problem and it is the politicians currently in power. They have contributed to the economy crash with their self serving policies and the basically unlimited immigration!!!. You don't see politicians struggling. Ibet most of them are significantly increasing their personal worth while 90% or more of the population are going backwards fast. \n The point will come where people will revolt and throw out the baby with the bathwater and a massive social change will happen. The current elites will all cease to exist of become invisible

It's astounding to see how many residents complain about living in Canada, immigrants, or not. I also can't overlook the Indigenous canadians' battles and the systemic racism that inhabits this country and creates so much negativity in the overall atmosphere of the place. Bad government leadership, greed, and ZERO accountability in gov. leadership is at the root and blatant at this point.

What's the point of going to Canada when one can get a better education in India? Life in Canada will always be full of suffering even if you finish your graduation and get a petty job.

Great review paji. I think major points of difference between the two countries was due to population size and currency valuation.

You Girls are wonderful and honest. Thank you so so much for giving us the other side of the same same coin. Many channels promoting migration to canada only talk about the percieved good things. However, your points about taxes, inability to get your desired career, medical challenges and generally a boring life have helped me to rethink about coming over. But i can come just to visit and see u right?

Countries like Niger could develop into 1st world nations. If there wasn't this severe brain drain on these countries. In which their brightest minds. Make it a point to immigrate into 1st world nations, and bring their gifts and talents over there. Further widening the gap between developed and developing nations.

It's funny that he is describing why nigeria fails its people and why Canada is a haven for its people. Wasting time to discuss nothing is the failure point of African professionalism.
2023-09-02 0
Great interview. I however want to differ on the point that working in Nigeria is more relaxed. That's one of the reasons our economy is as poor as it is\n\nI was sitting in front of a doctor few days ago in Lagos and for most part he was pressing his phone. He did not as much as looked at the results of the investigations he requested\n\nWhen it is time to work, ensure that you work\n\nThe Bible says that the earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof. May God's presence abide with us anywhere we are

His message must be truth but the unnecessary talks is too much, just go straight to the point and be serious , you present as if you are teasing the victims

My broda over has a huge point, people maybe throwing stones at him but deep inside, he knows what he is talking about. \n\nIf this is the situation with skilled specialised workers, how about for semi-skilled or non-skilled workers.
2023-09-01 0
Nigerians are very intelligent He doesn't dissapoint. Correct about systematised racism. Those many denyand get upset when it's pointed out
2023-09-01 0
This gentleman is smart, articulate with his analysis of the situation. \nI echo his comments. If I am doing well in my country I wouldn’t leave— especially Africans and the African Diaspora. I see the horrific atrocities committed against the Africans crossing these borders to get into Europe. It is sad to the point where I said before I leave my country I would rather eat from my land than to come and be dehumanized.
2023-08-31 2
Well said and 100% on point. As an African in management or supervisory roles, expect to work 3x more to be recognized or seen as competent. It's like they doubt and under rate your abilities
2023-08-31 0
His points about Nigeria are just why the country isn't working. And then points about Canada is why Canada is working. Especially about working. We know what our hospital services look like. \n\nThe fact that someone of his status sees Canada as a better place for his children tells you he is just one of the 3 percent wealthy Nigerians.
2023-08-31 0
At what point do us citizens to start protecting our country, it's obvious the government doesn't care. This is beyond ridiculous. We don't want you illegals here! There is a legal way to do it if you want to be part of our country.
2023-08-31 0
No one is forcing anyone to come to Canada. If you don’t like it here go back. What’s the point of regretting and staying put?
2023-08-31 0
Golden Point - All World Leaders are at risk anywhere in the World and People will try ro kill them or force them into revealing secrets and so they always have to be surrounded by a whole lot of their truster people at all times and nobody is allowed to place any restrictions on them and Everything is at Emmy's Expense

Why abandoned your home to go somewhere else illegally? What's the point
2023-08-30 0
If your whole intention was to leave your country of birth for these scam white countries, what was the point of your nation in the first place ?
2023-08-30 0
So sad, you don't trash your country on a platform like this no matter challenges that country is going through. Some people built Canada to what is it today that your fellow Omo ti ko ri ola ri ( persons comming from poverty). At a point in history, Canada was a struggling country but I don't think Canadian talk trashed of their country. It's unfortunate these kids went to colleges in Nigeria at a subsidized rate and the best i will suggest is to not say anything rather than trashing you birth place.\n You will realize after staying in Canada for few years that it's not rosy and easy as you expect and you will be surprised to learnt that some of your colleagues/classmates who stays back and works in Nigeria are living far better than you. All that glitters are not gold in the west.\nI made this comment based on my experience living in the west for more than 2 decades.\nNever give up on your birth place, you may regret doing so later in the future.\nJust my advice.

Hello Kemi, thanks for the detailed video. Pls if I am the principal applicant, and my husband also works can I submit his job reference too? Will it gives u extra points or it is not necessary. Just mine is ok

Good point why don’t they get together and fight the wrong damn government instead of coming here and living off the American people because that’s what they’re doing
2023-08-29 0
Hi Kemi! This was quite a very educating and well detailed video. Thank you.\nI want to ask, I’m in a serious relationship with my man with marriage in view, you made mention of putting your details as a married person and all about change of names at some Point. \nFor I and my partner, we want to start applications but not yet married and we want to apply as a family , what would you advise we do at the point when they ask for spouse details giving that we aren’t married yet but hope to do so before we travel \n\nAnd Again, I would love to join the telegram group you mentioned for more info \n\nThank you as I anticipate a quick response

I mean to say if a country is taking random people in and they're getting free housing a job and a monthly salary also free food at times. Heck Democrats are advertising y'all country better than Mc. Donald's at this point. What are y'all gonna do about it to safeguard your interests and livelihood. I'd hate it if others come into my country getting everything free and I have to suffer to provide for my family at high prices. Js
