CANADA IS HEADING TO BECOME A 3rd world country, ppl living in their cars and streets

Many immigrants find the first few years difficult because of the job ethics. The job ethics here in Canada is quite different from Nigerian with a laidback background. In Canada you work for every cent and it has really worked for them and some of us. I have employed so many Africans especially Nigerians who thought I am mean because they have to work for every penny. You are not paid to come and have a chitchat at work or spend 5 hours on something that could take you 3 hours to do. I will say if you can't change your work ethics and try to integrate into the Canadian system please stay back in your country. I have also seen people who have been clouded with that high life they lived back home and find it difficult to Start at the bottom. Even if you are living a good life in Nigeria, Canada is a better place to live if you can unlearn some things and relearn other things.\nAnd is there systemic racism? The answer is YES. If our leaders treat us right, 80 percent of our people won't leave their country. Let's hold our government responsible not the north American government or their people.

Living in developed countries especially bigger cities has become a nightmare. Be it new york, toronto, dublin, berlin, auckland and so on...earlier buying was harder...now renting too has become lot harder...

I am from Cameroon, I am an assistant télécommunications engineer since 2016. I had the grace to be recruited by the end of my final year by a foreign company BUT, they are using holes in our labor law in Cameroon. The fact is for 6 years now, I am a temporary worker with monthly renewable contracts even though I am working at the same position for 6 years . The irony being, I barely make 500 usd per month, no salary increase for 5 years and with my wife and kid we can just afford to live day by days. No way for me to save some money. I made the maths: even if I work as a janitor in Canada, I can at least same some money for my child future. I am planning to move to Canada. It will always be better than the Bullshit I am through in my own country

Let me add this , if Ghana or Nigeria has the working ethics needed to at companies or business these two countries would have developed so well , ask yourself whats the quality of life for a person who is developing in Nigeria and that of Canada , Nigeria and Ghana has the most laziest and Greediest Government official , they come to work at the time they want , they work anyhow and they steal from the government too , meanwhile a country is developed by the hardworking people in the country , Cannada has built their system in a way that it doesnt support lazy people, how many better roads and energy system thats nigeria have , all that money for that is spent by lazy government officials and illegal business men , listen young men and women , you the situation in Ghana and Nigeria , dont let these opinions back stop you ,life is hard everywhere but live and workhard in a country that supports your hardwork because there is no place for a lazy man on earth

All I can say...Live and let live. You will never be able to stop people moving around even if you tell them your own life experience. We always think we'll do thing differently. I myself been moving around and living in different Western countries, and despite the difficulties, I don't regret anything. There is no such thing like a perfect country and even if it's your country of birth....Just try to be satisfied with what you have....But now it's true the golden age of immigration to western countries is gone. Unless you are qualified, it's a serious gamble to immigrate to try your luck.....

Well, what this guy is saying is not all orderly true.If Nigerian can get up in morning and go to work no matter how much they pay them , many Nigeria wouldn't be homeless going to other countries for their daily bread. 1000 Naira is 1 dollars. Can you live with 1 dollar a day? To me , don't believe what he is saying,90%of Nigeria are jobless.

At a point in history, Canada was a struggling country but I don't think Canadian talk trashed of their country. It's unfortunate these kids went to colleges in Nigeria at a subsidized rate and the best i will suggest is to not say anything rather than trashing you birth place.\n You will realize after staying in Canada for few years that it's not rosy and easy as you expect and you will be surprised to learnt that some of your colleagues/classmates who stays back and works in Nigeria are living far better than you. All that glitters are not gold in the west.\nI made this comment based on my experience living in the west for more than 2 decades.\nNever give up on your birth place, you may regret doing so later in the future.\nJust my advice.

I haven't looked it up I would like to briefly know what is wrong in their country that they can't work and have and houses right where they live at I heard part of it but not all of it to make sense

I think it really depends on the type of person you are and what you're looking for. I've lived in central Toronto for 25 years, and a few more in the suburbs prior. Family emigrated here from the UK when I was 10. Really look forward to the prospect of going back to the UK when I don't have a regular job (semi retire) anymore for a variety of reasons. Nice to live in Canada, but long for the beauty of the town and country life in England.

The problem here is everybody is blaming these poor people that want to come over for a better life and opportunity to get away from a corrupt government that has them in poverty, with no hope of prospering! But we look at it in this country as troublemakers coming across the border and that’s not the case not to say that there’s not people that won’t make for trouble who are in that crowd but overall just good, hard-working people who are getting ready to probably be treated very poorly once they get here And if that’s not enough, but you can never fault someone for picking up a job. I am proudly canadian living just outside toronto im white and was born here so I never had this problem but it gives me a warm feeling knowing my country welcomes disenfranchised peoples

The only countries were open was 3rd world countries the fort back. England you can start drinking at 7am I lived in Vancouver for 42 years now moved to England, but it is not easy to get settle here either. That's thanks to Trudeau he is a follower NOT a leader. And then they're saying that they're so pissed off that they're going to move back to Mexico, one even said I'm building a house in the Philippines! Very good video but a few things are missed. \nLife in Canada is far better than any day in the USA!\nCANADA has a Public, Single-Payer Healthcare Insurance since the 1960's, something the USA in 2023 still does not have. So yes you may make\nmore money in the USA, but that all can go away with a serious health issue even with US private Insurance. Plus Canada is very\nmulticultural and Racism towards many is barely an issue compared to the USA.\nI grew up in the USA and now live in Canada and even though I have the choice to live in either country, YOU could not pay me to live\nin the USA, culturally the country is a nightmare if you are not White, Christian and Heterosexual then you are considered a problem.

Fear of the unknown and convenience in this country has literally removed interaction between total strangers. Fear has been used to creates more money to circulate. Being Canadian I dont stay awake all night worrying if the village idiot has a gun and will shoot me .I can have a pain and go to a hospital without worrying if I can pay for it .I get 3 weeks vacation every year which I hear does;nt happen in the USA .My kids can enter their school without having to go through a metal detector .And I dont have to be told I live in the greatest country on the planet because I have lived in a few other countries and I wouldnt trade Canada for any of them .

The Venezuelans have been going to each and every country, they have been boldly going into trinidad and claiming that trinidad belongs to them. The core problem with Canada is not its economy but its people. Since Canada has opened its immigration doors to the poorest and most miserable countries of the Third World living conditions have not just deteriorated but have become intolerable as crime, transportation, equal opportunity employment and civil service has been transferred into the hands of these recent migrants. People with low incomes simply can't even afford a place to live and must share their living space with people who have no sense of hygiene, ethics and posses alien foreign values. The only migrants willing to remain in Canada are those from the poorest corners of the world where they face starvations, destitute poverty, disease and social banishment if they return. Migrants who come from Europe or other developed nations discover Canada to be so repugnant that they simply return from where they came. People can survive with poverty as long as they are comfortable with their environment, in Canada living with poverty has become a nerve wreaking daily struggle for survival in a hostile alien environment.

You stated you've lived in smaller cities or towns and found them to be nice ..... you're a white guy.... of course you're gonna find the people nice and friendly. It may not be so friendly or nice to anyone who's not white though. Health care coverage through a job means if you lose your job you're screwed for health care while unemployed. The USA is a dumpster fire politically and socially to the rest of the world. You're IN it so you can't see what we are from other countries who do things differently.

Tyler, I agree that you may be too desensitized to the gun violence in your country. I grew up in Canada in the culture where we, as children, were not allowed to play with toy guns as it represented unacceptable violence. I'm 61 years old and have never held a gun nor seen one outside of in the holster of a police officer. Guns with their associated violence is shocking to us. It's a cultural thing and we like it that way. It's really too bad we Canadians have been so easily exposed to the shocking violence of US TV shows. No strategic seeking of the 'right' place to live in the US is going to change the shock effect the gun violence has on our being. It's very scary and we are not as easily sensitized to it.

So I’m going to echo a lot of the other comments here regarding gun violence. The number ONE cause of death to children is gun violence. Not illness,not car accidents, not poverty or abuse…GUNS. \nBut here is what I found so strange. I’ve never walked into a place of business in Canada that was so clearly diverse. I went into a ladies clothing store and everyone stopped and looked at me like “what are you doing here” I’m white and everyone else was black. And I was like “ what is going on” I thought, is this a thing? My friend had the same experience. He walked into a barber shop, he’s white and all the men were black. He didn’t get it either. In both cases we were treated very well and when they realized we were Canadian we all understood the situation. Because in Canada that just wouldn’t happen. I wouldn’t want to live in a country where even businesses are segregated. That’s just a sad situation.
