You're proud of your country. \n\nAs a Canadian, I always felt the difference in basic attitudes between our countries may stem from our history of gaining national independence.\n\nYou all fought tooth and nail and are still immensely proud of that accomplishment. \n\nWe negotiated over time. It stands to reason our society would develop into one more invested in peace and negotiation, and even a deeper sense of social responsibility to our fellow citizens' welfare.\n\nI know of many different reasons why I love your country, enjoy visiting, and am glad we are neighbours. But to live in the US would take a change in my deeply ingrained sense of identity that I'm not willing to give up. \n\nI think you'll find even the Americans who joke about moving to Canada woukd find it similarly difficult to change their feelings. \n\nThank you for your interesting and respectful content. I'm afraid that with the gun craze down there, I would not consider it. Then, there is the lousy healthcare... And just when I think you guys aren't that bad off, I watch an episode of John Oliver's This Week Tonight, and a plethora of new reasons spring up. \n\nRight now in Canada, there is a Conservative Party that is starting to adopt the MAGA philosophy of consorting with white supremacism, fascism, misogyny and racist, and I cannot imagine moving to a place where this stuff is running rife. \n\nTyler, you are a lovely example of a decent American, and in truth, when visiting the States (which I haven't done for years), I met more people like you than like MAGA. However, my tolerance for stupid, hateful people is far lower since Trump was elected, and I swore I would not visit the US again until the WH, Congress and the Senate clean house of the Republican scourge. \n\nBut moving to the US would never be an option for me. I love Canada. I live in one of the most beautiful parts of Canada - Vancouver Island. I was born here and have visited many places in the world, but this is, and will forever be, home!

My brother lives in Canada and says in Florida during the winter. He loves the US and the American dream. He loves Trump too. I think the only thing keeping him in Canada is the health care.

I like the US weather and being into old cars I love the rust free old cars. I have driven across the US twice and I really like the American people. I don't think guns are needed in a modern society.

Very true. I go to America and Canada to meet my children. For older people day start with cleaning utensils, cooking food, washing and cleaning home. And no social life for older people. Very costly everything. No friends,very lonely life. Children have their careers, life so they r helpless. My son in America provides us with all luxuries but very boring after some time. Love my life in my home, my country. I have my social life and love it.

We visited the USA ( California, Ohio, MD ) and Canada (Toronto) some 7 times during the last about 11 years, and loved these countries. But I would still I would like to live in india only, mainly because we love Indian vegetables, fruits, food items and our home life in India.

Listen... I'm all for helping out fellow human beings but it seems this person was blocking her way which you can see, and she explains that this isn't the first time he's done that! The fact he spoke to her in Indian just shows he is not culturally appropriated to our language or even laws for that matter! Never mind the fact he has packed up and moved his kids and wife assuming! We as long term citizens of our country need to tell our governments we need to focus on our own issues and not just let all these people in! Plus I looked up how much it was to study in India and let me say - it's a whole lot cheaper than it is in Canada, USA or Brittain as far as I'm concerned THEY are receiving money from outside sources to Spy and send info to others covertly! And I can smell a rat! Those people worship !multiple gods and are evil! They are not from Christian communities they are devil worshippers! They laugh and in their language talk to other Indians who love with us and call their big tech company's they work for! Spys! All of em!

Having lived in most provinces and visited dozens of cities such a Yellowknife (in December) I love all of them. Though I have a secret passion for Montreal it's by far the most cosmopolitan city in all of Canada. Yes Canada does have winter months where they are most severe in the northern cities. When you add it up it's how the people interact in a friendly manner which is why I feel best in Montreal.

I lived in Canada from 2002 to 2013 and then came back to Brazil because a super job opportunity. I don’t have to say that I love the country and have so many friends in Vancouver. And these friends have started to complain of the country since 2019/2020. It is sad that canadians are having lesser perception of this AMAZING country.

Immigrated to Canada 15 years ago, and I, too, experienced the problem with Canadian labour experience to get a job in my field even after make some studies here, but in the end, I made it. Finally what made me stay here was not job or making-money opportunities, it was Canadian values, culture, landscapes, less crowded cities, life quality and quietness. I love this country. I like USA to visit though.
