Those of us who did not vote for Trump do not want this either. My last two out of three vacations were spent in Canada. I hate to see our friends treated this way. Don't think we all agree with the way Trump is governing.

And cue the childish insults and cycle of rage treats from Trump because he lacks the basic leadership skills of service and maturity.\nNote:.Prime Minister Trudeau is a leader that all Americans can admire and respect.

It's time for Canada and other countries to hit back. Trump MUST Understand that he cannot treat sovereign countries like local suppliers or customers. It's a shame and a pity that people who did not vote Trump are forced to endure the consequences of his and Putin's decisions.As for the MAGAS, it will only occur to them when they can no longer afford fuel for their gas guzzlers and eggs for their breakfast.

Ask them hard working Canadians how their government treating them.

We are appalled and disgusted with the catastrophic damage that our government is causing to our dear allies, and it grieves us deeply that Putin is being treated with respect while we are literally stabbing our loyal, long-standing allies in the back. In 4 short weeks, Trump has demonstrated to it's allies that their deals with the US are not worth the paper they are written on. This was never about fentanyl and it was never about border security. It was always about power, control, and money. About breaking Canada’s economy and independence, about forcing us into submission. Trump and his cult have clearly aligned themselves with Russia and are doing Putin's bidding. The democratic world must now regard and treat the US as it does any of the other non-democracies in the world, not as an ally to be consulted, but as an adversary to be contained.

Trump is an enemy of the US and should be treated as such.

Canada has been our BFF almost forever. How can we treat them this way?

I’m Canadian and I’m terrified for us as well as all the innocent people that will be affected by this. I find it curious though that past presidents haven’t made any remarks, at least that I’ve seen, about all the things Trump has done in the last six weeks. Where are the condemnations about tariffs, the way Zelensky was treated and the fact that Trump is the one letting human traffickers (allegedly) across the border? As in Andrew Tate and his brother. Trump is the one allowing criminals in. Trump is the one about to sell gold cards to anyone for $5,000,000. That will include known terrorists.

I am a US citizen and will never call felon47 my president. He cares nothing about our country or citizens not to speak of how he has lied about and treated our Canadian friends. I called the Canadian embassy in Washington DC this morning. I told them as an American citizen. It saddens me and breaks my heart that we are treating our allies with such disrespect. I do not stand with the United States government and their treatment of our allies. I also called the Mexican embassy and told them the same thing. I didn’t announce Trump in his cabinet and what they’re doing to our economy that we have worked so hard to resurrect again after he was president last time. I, urge every person who does not agree with what is going on to call the Canadian and the Mexican embassies and just let them know that we stand in solidarity with them and against our government here!

I was thinking to send my 8 years old niece to teach Trump how to do good trade. She does it so well (polite,respectful, considerate) to get treats (chocolates, food, etc.) from us.

As an individual Japanese, I cannot stand the current US president and vice president. I demand an impeachment trial. In order to protect America and the American people, these two people who do not call Russia a dictatorship, call Ukraine a dictatorship, and refuse to use Russia's frozen assets should be impeached. The USMCA trade agreement between Canada, Mexico, and America, initially brokered and lauded by Trump as “terrific,” is now being scraped. The stated reason, a national security threat due to fentanyl originating from the Canadian border (approximately 43 pounds in 2024), is bogus. This pretend “security threat,” allows Trump to circumvent congressional oversight and undermine constitutional norms. Canada's historical contributions to the United States are extensive, including WWI, fighting Hitler in WWII for two years before they joined the fight, declaring war against Japan WWII after Pearl Harbour before America did, was 25% of D-Day’s landings, support during the Iranian hostage crisis, after 9/11, in Afghanistan, and during natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina and California wildfires. However, Canada is now being treated transactionally, with a lack of respect to a historical friend and ally.

Treat us as you would treat Putin, please. We deserve it now.
