2 months is a really short time to give judgement on a country. You have to give yourself a year to adjust. You are lucky you went when your kids are big and can do everything on their own. We migrated to Australia 20 years back when our son was 1 my younger two kids were born here it was a struggle then but it was all worth it. I love India it is the place of my birth but Australia is home. I am sure many Indians living abroad feel the same.

Lynn I am a Kenyan living and working in BC.The problem is that Kenyans have left their fate in the hands of agents. Most of the guys on the streets are here on visitor visas. The agents told them they can convert their visitor visas to work permits. True! But they dont tell them how hard it is to do it! (Harder than rocket science hahahaha)You must get a job with an LMIA(this document proves to the government that the employer has not been able to get a Canadian or permanent resident to do the job thats why they want to hire a foreigner) most of these guys don't even have enough money to survive for a month bcoz 'they will get jobs and convert their visas to work permits' \nLike that Indian guy said you need a skill. Canada is looking for skills and you can develop these skills in your home countries and get jobs for 20:44 YOURSELF in CANADA. If you dont have a job in Canada you will struggle for sure.

Never seen any country head insulting their own intelligence department, if the Indian government agents traveled 12000 km to come to Canada and assassinate a wanted criminal the Indian Government shows that the intelligence department in Canada was busy counting stars in the night sky. The issue is Canada is being too selective with the countries they are taking from ( only two India and china), but it's racist to say that, the two countries with the most people in the world.... would overlap the amount of Canadians in the country with only sending like 2% of their population.... why are we immigrating a unlimited amount of people from countries that can over right our populations 1000x over. So all the other countries and cultures who want to have their families come to Canada will be pushed back over selective immigration. \n\nIf you wondered why Jagmeet buckled under the great ruler... i would argue this is why. Not entirely accurate. It's pro-wealthy immigration here in Canada absolutely. It's citizenship for sale. Not necessarily wealthy in terms of really wealthy (like Switzerland) but it's definitely citizenship for sale, so if you don't have money, don't bother. Newcomers with medical and engineering expertise can't get jobs here in Canada, in spite of our healthcare system being on the point of collapse and our supposed hi-tech push. Regulatory boards here have made it impossible. Estimates are around 175000 qualified, internationally trained doctors and nurses who gave up trying to practice here and moved into other careers. Ukrainian doctors, for eg, with extensive trauma experience and willing to staff our emergency departments have been told they have to requalify by going to Canadian medical school to retrain for at least 4 years. Same story in engineering. By IT, our government seems to mean low-paid call center IT work, moving the IT sweatshop racket from India onto Canadian soil. If you can afford to buy a business - I believe the total business investment was 500 000 pre-pandemic - that's another way in. Not sure if thats gone up now. So many of our franchise businesses are essentially being used as citizenship tickets. The big ticket item: If you can afford 4 years of postgraduate or undergrad university program, or 3 to 4 year college program - and if you don't have the cash, loan sharks in India will distribute debt across the whole family for decades so one student can go . There us a very good documentary by an Indian filmmaker on the Canadian college/University recruitment drive in India and its consequences. Several of our colleges have student enrollments at over 70% of the entire student body, direct entry from India. Additional problems like grade inflation, different education standards, and outright fraud on ESL testing also mean that Indian students are not well prepared for school here. Many do not have enough English to succeed in their studies. They either need to spend for additional tutoring, take a qualifying year or two ESL (on top of the 3 or 4 program), or fail courses. Universities and colleges keep the tuition though. Honestly our colleges and universities are staying afloat because of Indian students. They're being treated like cash cows - and Indian recruiters are scamming the system, taking fees on their end with unsuspecting students getting falsified documents, or being told they passed their ESL when they didn't. It's a national disgrace. I'm a prof here, I've seen all of this firsthand. Your data may be correct, but the narrative you've constructed for it is not the real picture.

welcome to the melting pot where everyone in the pots is separated like oil and water. sure we are all here, but we tend not to mix or if we do it is through a bunch of rigorous effort to try to mix and when it settles we just go back to what it was before. SO sad for sure.. definitely wish that was not the case and only the food areas were the separation for if you want greek, italian, indian, mexican, puerto rican. chinese, japanese, soul food etc. Coming from chicago I get to see all the different food styles and places but again it is so true that things are way different from canada to here. Maybe in like 10 years some things will change, but as we all know change takes time.. and time is something we don't have much of so enjoy it and hopefully when I go see my buddy in canada I will get to see the differences you all are talking about. cheers gents.

As an Indian, I feel ashamed on behalf of these students who leave the country of opportunities to somewhere far only to get disappointed. If India has the potential to get me a good life, I am sure these students could have done better by staying back :(

I’m sure the commentator here feels very self-righteous in repeatedly calling this lady a racist. Virtue signaling makes him feel good about himself. Let him go to India and see how Indians treat each other first, especially those with darker skin or those from the Northeast. Let him see how Indians all but worship the fair skinned. Let him see how they treat those from putatively lower castes. Let him see how they’d move en masse to the West to live the good life if only they could afford to do so. ?

My question, and I know I'm gonna get eaten alive, is why so many Indians? What about people from the rest of the world? Canada feels like India these days. I would like to see more diversity. Also, Canada needs to do better about making sure there's more diversity in its numbers. Also, Canada needs to ensure colleges don't charge so much more. Afterall, we who eventually get PR will be paying taxes too (which is the rationale given for why local students pay less).

Really??\n\nI know that 1 CAD will get you approx. 60 INR, but wages have increased dramatically in India, so I don’t know how the math was done to assert that it would take 74 years to pay 1 year’s tuition.\n\nI checked Alpha college’s tuition fee for 4 semesters or two years, and it’s $31,130 or $15,565 for 1 year, which, in today’s market exchange rate is, less than INR 940,000. \n\nI know and have several relatives in India who makes anywhere between CAD equivalent of $8000 and $20000 per year. Not sure what the wages are in Punjab, but can’t imagine that assertion is correct. Irrespective, I know that even CAD $15,565 is very high for most Indian families.

I do not understand only one thing and thats the Indian people obsession with Canada and USA, I mean going there and letting your parents pay huge amounts of money and selling their lands and breaking their back for your school fees to enter some low level college or university and in the end not even sure if you will succeed. Instead you can go to Europe ( a lot of countries to choose from ) much cheaper or even free in some countries, all you have to do is learn the language (for it to be free) you can have a good life, cheaper and safer than US or Canada and after you graduate you can get a good job with good pay, even get permanent residence or citizenship.But still 99 percent of Indians wanna move to US OR Canada,UK aswell and in some cases Australia.

Pretty sure that like-minded Indians are majorly responsible for doing these things to their own people!

Now that the students are allowed to work for 37.5 hours officially no more cash in hand work or no exploitation\n\nSo, every cry may not be heard by government but some for sure, I am hopeful for my Indians kids to survive and get them legitimate jobs.

Brampton born and raised. The city drastically changed in the 90’s. I will be the first to say not all Indians are bad drivers, or bad homeowners! They come from another place and not used to the Canadian culture. Cutting grass may not be a thing in India, parking cars on the front lawn may be fine in India. It’s something we will have to get used to. Sure it’s an eyesore but surely their kids will be Canadian and adopt the cleanliness aspect.

Where in the world do we find the most people of different cultures and races? America. Canada. Europe. I hope you don't underestimate Europe's existing problems when i went to London 4 years ago i was shocked that it wasnt the place i imagined it to be no need to explain im sure you understand what i mean. Im an Asian immigrant, but i wasnt expecting that i couldnt even see a caucasian in London mostly arabs, blacks, indians, some asians i do not hate it but im just confused i worked in the middle east for 10 yrs and i was hearing arabic speaking everywhere, also asian language its like im in Vancouver or Surrey area. I thjnk its not an isolated problem probably your new to that place thats why you do not see the problems yet but i hope you made the right decision. All the best. The tax is really quite high but the Canadain government though with some flaws is still better than most countries believe me i have lived in Asia, middle east and been to places and met all kinds of people. One thing that seperates Canadian from most other nationalities despite the different ethnicities and races Canadians are generally nice and less violent and id rather have my kids grow up here than any part of the world. Hmmm not sure I agree with this vid. My friends and I do pretty well here financially. We are all millenials. Even though most of us are Canadian born, we all experience the immigrant life through our parents. We remember what it was like to be poor immigrants. But in the end all of us got the right education (i.e. not a fine arts degree...lol) and have good paying jobs as accountants, software engineers, doctors, lawyers etc... We didnt have any advantages either. We all took out student loans to pay our tuition with no help from our parents. Yet we paid it off, we own our homes, all without being house poor. It can't be that hard. Just go to a legit school, not some third world university.,.. and do do a proper degree. Nobodys gonna hire a aet history major anywhere in the world. Oh and get out of your fucking ethnic bubbles. I have friends who are White, Black, Indian, Chinese, Italian and Portuguese and we all built a decent life for ourselves. Our parents worked hard as immigrants, and this is how we were rewarded.

Born and raised in BC. BC means bring cash. Everything cost more in BC. GOVERNMENTS are more greedy in BC as well. More tax here more expensive to buy houses in BC as well. . fuel costs the most in world in BC I'm sure. Many of us leave to eastern province because BC is too expensive. Absurd reasoning such as you earn maximum 10,000 rupees or 5000 Rupees salary in India. The problem is the kind of effort and hard work they put in Canada , had they put the same In India they would have been in a much better financial condition.
