The reasons you gave cited are not exclusive for Indians, it is for everyone.\nAlso if Indians have to pick up jobs not according to their education is a clear indicator that the Indians are not hyper intelligent as they are made to look in the media. Lets keep i real. The desire that most immigrants have is homeostasis which is the familiar. All humans do this. Individually indians are usually smart and decent people. But in groups ( and this doesnt just include indians) you get this group thinking that is prejudice against anyone who isnt one of their own. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. Everyone needs to remember there is legal immigration and illegal immigration. President Trump’s wife is from Slovenia now a US citizen, while the Vice President Vance ‘s wife’s family would have originated from the Indian Sub Continent. American Nationality is a social construct you either qualify for it or you don’t. I don’t understand these individuals who enter a country illegally or legally and over stay the period stamped on their Passport. If you are stamped for 28 days you stay for no more than 28 days if on a 6 month visa you stay no longer than the visa. \n\nIt is what I would expert if I went to any other country, unless you are invading in the armed services of a country and you would be seen as an invader by that country, anyone who enters a country illegally or over stays their passport time is an invader and should be treated the same way and expelled.

Unfortunately, have to agree with the fact that some Indians have exploited the visa process and made it a mess for the remaining well intentioned legal residents. Lack of proper manners, over staying, misusing the privilege, list goes on. Please understand: we need to follow rules. We are a law abiding country. I always keep upto date with FP news but this was so biased and failed to address the issue fully and accurately. Firstly, the economy of India or the foreign policies of India has little to do with the power of the Indian passport. According to that logic US, China and Russia should be the top 3 in the passport ranking - but it is not. @3:35 The logic is visible and the west does not need to explain it. It is the quality of the people visiting the western countries. There is a significant number of Indian citizens who would migrate without the intention to return. This fact unfortunately affects everyone holding an Indian passport. FP also needs to see that middle class in India is not at a middle class standard worldwide. I think the reporter should do proper research. Human development index(education, job, safety, etc.) and the number of overstaying Indians are the major factors why they tend to reject a lot of applicants from India. If India could provide a better living standard, its people would tend to return and not to overstay abroad. But this is not the case. The number of Indians wanting to migrate abroad manifests otherwise. It seems like there is a scarcity of resources in India. No wonder they are shocked that people abroad give tips for a service.

As an NRI for a decade in Germany, I can assure you that not a single person in the developed western world looks at India with a nicer opinion. They think of it as a necessary baggage. They will only allow Visa on Arrival/E-Visa for people whom they respect and would like to be in the country. While I do not want to get into how some Indians behave when they are on their EU trip, Indians in India do not behave well too. This involves hygiene, roads, infrastructure, intelligence, corruption, etc. Indians tend to look at the Indian flag with tears in their eyes while listening to A.R. Rahman’s “Vande Mataram” with Bharat Bala’s video. But the reality in the western world is this: India is a loud, messy, unhygienic, poorly organized country filled with corruption and crime everywhere. Now, why would a well-developed country open their doors to potentially unruly 1.4 billion people? The reason for visa rejection is that a lot of them simply apply for a tourist visa and never leave. If someone really needs to travel, they will have the money and the motivation to apply multiple times. Hence, the first check with multiple layers of bureaucracy.

A sound advice to all Indians who are trying to beat the system. Leave when your permit has expired. It would be easier for you to apply again from India. I’m an Indian passport holder living abroad due to personal reasons. I’m eligible for the citizenship of a country that most people would dream to get but I do not like to apply for the same because then I would have to renounce my Indian citizenship (India does not allow dual citizenship). Indians themselves are responsible for visa rejections because most of our people (not all) go under the disguise of tourists with the intention to settle in that country. What kind of treatment would you expect then? I came legally and despite never compromising with my cultural values, I have always felt welcomed in the country that I live in. It’s about how you present yourself in the country that you live in. People are good everywhere in this world.

Well, there are good Indians and scammers Indian. Scammers in India are causing headaches for good Indians. That is the facts. For instance, recently some Indians took a huge loan in UAE and left for Canada with that money. That has put the UAE government in a position to make the visa process more difficult to find out if bad people are getting the visa or not. I would say, the Indian government should introduce a process to thoroughly investigate a person before they apply for a foreign visa, and it should be honest to see some improvement in Indian behavior in the foreign countries. If not, that number is just going to go down. It doesn’t matter how much you scream. Do that for the sake of good Indian people.
