Just not enough people to tax and fund the well fare services anyways. The guy you interviewed who's parents came here and assimilated to the culture should be the model for immigration to Canada. The influx of students who came here on false promises by immigration scammers is not suatainable and has clealy got to a point where its costing the country. I am shocked to hear this from a CBC reporter saying IMMIGRANTS get money from the government!! Where on earth did you get this ,outrageous information!! People who apply to come to Canada as legal immigrants , have to go through a strict points system.that can take years . Plus medical and security checks. They have to speak English or French , be educated and most of all have a skill ,trade or profession that Canada needs!as Canada does not have enough highly skilled workers. The point is looks like either you do not need development or economy to be improved. For robbery of $10 in Brampton speaks of people being sick of lonely and lack of basic savings or being lazy. Canada’s statistics are no different than Australia, USA and France for example in terms of homelessness and home ownership. Reading most of the comments I agree they should go back where they came from. But look at it from Trudeau’s point of view, if he lets them stay they will likely vote for him in the next election . He will have to give them the right to vote, but isn’t that in the works already too? Besides you simply need a Canadian driver’s licence and place of residence to vote isn’t it? I dont understand how its anyone's concern what language people speak with family and friends or if someone does not know English. In a free country, you can speak whatever language you want, wear your cultural clothing, and eat your culture's food. why does one need to adapt to the local area? The law doesnt oblige them... Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. @12:01 Tyler states you do need to be quite particular about choosing where you want to live in the US, going on with examples of locating communities with “like minded people” to yourself.\nThat to me is a bizarre statement, communities that have like minded people , where everyone has the same political, religious and social beliefs will have no opportunity for understanding and learning different perspectives / points of view or new ideas, new ways of doing things, no ability to accept or be okay with differences.\nLiving in a like minded community is essentially coddling and doesn’t allow one to evolve.

The processing times is what Canada needs to seriously look at. Once that is done, immigrants won't like to move. At point your life can just come to a halt all in the name of processing on the part of Government. To renew a work permit may take between 3 and 6 months to be done. Apply for travel document and it takes forever. PR processing is the worse as it can take up to 4 years. Too much frustrations

Only thing that I would say that needs to be reviewed is the source @ 12:38 where you said 7% of the Canadian population leaves when in actuality it is ~ 0.7% to 1% which is an order of magnitude different that what was said. Brain drain is real but its not at a point where we are losing more than 1% of our population a year to the US just yet. Also people return after ~5 years when they do go but I'm curious if they will stop coming back in the coming years. Anyways, I'm looking forward to future work and you gained a subscribe from me!

The crazy thing is that some Canadians still have faith in Trudeau's party or just have too much trust in the government that they can turn this around. I want to see this country prosper but every few months I just keep on seeing new policies that the current government makes that just doesn't make sense.\n\nFew things to mention\n- No more investment in more roads by the federal government (I understand they want essentially to have citizens use cars less but they haven't provided a plan on how that money would be invested? I have yet to see trains being invested to connect cities such as High speed rail?)\n- Increased carbon taxes (most premiers were against this but they negged it on)\n- proposal and voting for Increasing taxes on capital gains (impact business that invest in Canada)\n- This is a positive thing but also happened because they polls went to the dump (increased investment in housing) and then decrease foreign student admission for future years ( I think this is where liberals say they have hope, but it's at a point where they messed it up and now are trying to fix it to make it look like they are fixing someone else's mess\n- The government is also just adding more policies we can't afford such as Dental plans for certain incomes, food in schools while the free health care doesn't really feel worth the taxes when the quality is not there. ( This is how they want to be the good guys when the conservatives need to cut costs to help resolve this mess)\n\nThe liberals are kind of like that guy in the family that takes a loan, pockets some money for corruption, then gives money away to charities saying I'm the good guy, and then doesn't know how to pay the loan back so asks for their family to help fund the debt.

Canada hid its inflation in the housing market for a decade. The economy appeared to be growing, and real wages appeared to be staying in line with the consumer price index, but it was smoke and mirrors. If you removed real estate, GDP was stagnant. Wages were actually falling behind and people getting poorer and poorer without realising it. That’s finally become unsustainable, and inflation is showing up everywhere. And the wages are still stuck. The country is sitting on hugely valuable resources it could develop had it not put so many self-created political barriers in the way, and having indoctrinated their population about it along the way. Separately, The healthcare system is getting worse, consistently ranking 2nd last in the OECD in terms of real results delivered. The biggest problem is that the country’s economy is built on immigration to drive growth, rather than productivity, efficiency, or innovation. The more people you bring in, the more housing you need, but they’re at the point that they can’t keep up and people can hardly afford housing anyways. It’s a recipe for disaster. I left Canada by coincidence, having met someone from another country and moved there. I’m glad I left.

You facts are way off to the point of being misleading. Then average cost of a home in the GTA is $1.2 million and by law you need a 20-25% down payment. Even if you're lucky to get that $800k home you need a 15% down payment of 15% so that's $120k! Incomes here suck you need over $250k to qualify for a mortgage...who earns that? My circle is lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers and only 2 income professionals can get that. Over the last 10 years Canada has become very anti families and anti heterosexual so most people are single. It's also become super anti social. I've lived and traveled all over and everyone I know is making plans to go back to their home countries, countries of parentage or the US or Mexico. I used Toronto Pearson last month and it was smooth. I think people just need to be genuine and get their docs handy. Docs like return flight ticket, hotel reservations, bank statements, etc should be printed. And of course don’t leave any implicating messages on your phone and be confident. Remember that Canada don’t do interviews before the grant or deny visas. You have to do the interview at the point of entry and if you can’t satisfy them with your answers, you’ll be denied entry

Canada can't continue with this amount of immigration. Honestly, IMO, Canada should only be considering skilled immigrants, and importantly, immigrants who can speak either English or French articulately. My daughter had a resident doctor who was Indian, who was going to perform a procedure which included using a scalpel on her tongue (she was tongue tied, minimally). I only half agree with him at this point. We've overwhelmed ourselves to the point that allowing for further immigration will only cause further problems. We need to actually cut it off and breathe. Even with the previous method, we need to go back to it in the future, but that would be 5 to 10 years down the road. We need to be selfish for a little while and actually become a better country. I would like to provide a background to all the native Canadians who are wondering why the East Indian population is growing in Canada they are lot of education consultants back in India who market Canada as a lucrative country to immigrate brownie points for studying to get PR free healthcare free education till grade 12 so everyone is trying their best to come to Canada on a student visa.Once students come on a student visa they need to work 20 hours a week which they are legally allowed to work on international student visa so locals feel they are taking their jobs In US international students are only allowed to work on campus despite so many job opportunities.Colleges in Canada charge 4-5 times tuition which is profitable to the education industry and provincial government.Once these students Graduate they get open work permit where they can gain Canadian work experience and apply for PR and citizenship eventually.All this benefits the government and the educational institutions overall in terms of taxes and revenue..

We have the same problem. I actually like the people, but….somehow, immigrants have managed to have been able to acquire the vast majority of retail jobs in our area. How is that possible? There are businesses and fast food chains with not one white person working as an employee. I spoke to a former worker that was at one of these businesses for years and asker her WTF happened? She told me that the company hired a new manager from India, within 6 months, half the staff were Indian, local students were not being hired for part time jobs, only Indians, by the end of the year, every single employee was Indian. \nShe along with other quit their jobs because….not because they’re racist, but because not only were they being treated differently than the now majority brown workers, but they were being made to feel excluded because…the manager and the new staff all spoke a different language, they would all work together in a group not speaking English at all, saying things and laughing making it pretty obvious that they were making fun of the white employees. The “manager” would ignore the white staff’s complaints and he would then seemingly punish them by giving them less hours, change their duties and give “the good shifts” to the new brown people to the point where the white people were made to feel alienated as well as cutting back their hours leaving them with not enough hours to make a living. “This is Canada Mother Fecker” these people need to speak our language when they’re in public or at the workplace with “Canadians” or…employers should fire them. I will note, that the A&W that this happened at, has changed not only by every single employee being brown, but the service is not near as friendly, they all speak to each other in a different language behind the counter.. the seating area is not even close to being clean, the tables usually are left with trays and garbage that aren’t being cleaned as customer leave. It so bad sometimes that I literally have to pick a dirty table and remove the garbage myself because every available table has not been cleaned….and the bathrooms …. I don’t even want to talk about it they’re so disgusting. And when you complain….they turn to other employees and speak a different language… so we have no idea about WTF they are actually doing or saying about the issue. “ Thank you Sir, we will take care of that.” And the next day…it was the same. I’ve stopped going there along with everyone that I know…our work crew along with our families can no longer support such a dirty, rude and disrespectful business.

I'm all for ethnically diverse neighborhoods but there is a point where they become big enough, made up entirely of one ethnicity, no incentive to integrate or adopt the customs or even laws of the host country that it eventually becomes a foreign nation state occupying a part of Canada. Even more troublesome when the narrative is that Canada is a postnational state and that everything that came before is all bad and needs to be torn down and/or forgotten. What has attracted immigrants to Canada over time is Canadian values, all that has been built and defended in Canada. Now older generations of immigrants are complaining that Canada is turning into an oppressive, crime ridden state like the countries they fled from. That the Canadian values they cherish are being subverted.

I came to Canada as a toddler in 2001 and it was like a dream come true for someone from a poor 3rd world country. But as of 10 years ago, the quality of life as well as the quality of services has just been getting worse and worse. As an immigrant myself, i know i shouldn't be saying this, but we seriously need to put immigration at a halt so that the current inhabitants can pick themselves up.\n-The job market is in a crisis, you can have a Masters Degree and still make less than 50K a year\n-We're facing an economic crisis where the cost of living is higher than what you're making (Low-class & Middle-class)\n-Free Healthcare is no longer worth paying for but we have no choice because majority can't afford to pay for Private.\n-Education level is a joke in comparison to Asia and Europe.\n-Most people are too old to even realize that they're voting for the wrong parties to run the country.\n-Depression rate is higher than ever. Satisfaction of life is plummeting, Suicide rate slowly increasing every year.\n-Public services are becoming more expensive, which once used to be Canada's greatest selling point.\n-No one wants to work the jobs that are available and in demand because immigrants are getting to pick and choose.\n-Properties are being bought out by foreigners thus raising the price for citizens who can't afford to buy anymore.\n-Birth rate and relationship satisfaction is slowly declining giving immigrant families access to Citizen status facilities.

I think everyone is missing the point here. I Don’t support Israel’s retaliation, but I wondered why the Arab world has not taken in a single refugee. Poland didn’t condone Russia’s attack by taking in hundreds of thousands Ukrainian refugees. If Egypt, jordan, Quatar, to name the immediate Arab Neighbors would rally together to get the women and children out of harms way, surely the outcome would be better for these poor people. \n\nSadly this is not the case and it appears as though this conflict will never find a solution, as long as both parties are not able to set aside their millennia aged quarrel, acknowledge each other’s deep roots and belonging to the same land, and accept that they both come from the exact same bloodline. The exact same seed of a man named Abraham. Both parties need not to like or even tolerate each other, but they both need to respect each other’s right to co exist within that space. I’ve heard some disgusting vitriol from both sides, honestly. Both sides have and are behaving like animals. Infact animals are more civil, as their disputes are settled in a more humane manner, without the casualties within their communities. Yet, despite being created in God’s image with the ability of sophisticated communication, both sides are unable to get past their own hurt pride, at least for the sake of the innocent lives that have and continue to be lost on BOTH sides, to finally squash this matter once and for all.\n\nGrowing up I had a cousin . We both were the only Sons of our respective immediate families’, born to identical twin sisters, 3 months apart. From\nA young age everything was competition between us. Who ran faster, jumped higher, threw further. Every thing we did, and we spent a lot of time around each other, was constantly turned into a “who does it better”. This resulted in us usually throwing down as one of us, feeling like we may be on the losing end of any given task, would just get frustrated, and start soccer punching the other. And my cousin and I from the time were off the diary to the day we both matured, would THROW down. We would literally just start throwing punches at each other, it was honestly impressive how we both would manage to land equal amount of hits to look like literal bloody hell, and guess what, even those fights became competition as even our dads would throw money with the others pitching for their favourite. Fortunately, our moms, the only adults in the our community, looking back, people would just pick a side and watch as go at each other, than pull us off each other, would come stomping out of the house grab each one of us by our ears, gives us a good smack in the back our heads and sit us down, look each one of us straight in the eye, and say something like, “cut it out, you two are family, more brothers than cousins” they would demand that we both go hug it out, have a bath, if we managed to do that peacefully then we were allowed to partake in dessert that evening or allowed to stay up a little later watching tv, or whatever . My point with this overtly personal analogy is that both the Palestinian and the Israeli sides should be dragged off each there by their figurative ears pulled, sat down, scolded and reminded of their ancestrial ties to each other and to the very same land. \n\nBe honest with yourselves, some how amongst all this hate, vitriol, unnecessary death of innocent lives, are you, and those you rally with be truly ok with your opposing side coexisting harmoniously beside each other? If the answer to this question is no, the other side can not have any claim to this land and needs to be removed to god knows where, if not off the earth all together then it’s your people, not mine, that are doomed. We’ll still be chilling in North America, horrified at the unfolding events but chilling nonetheless. Although it somehow claims to not be doing so, the actions of Israel demonstrate a gruelling callousness towards Palestinian life or right to life, and the staunch calls of the constant pro Palestine protests, calling for the eradication of Israel, none absent of a deep, hate and disgust towards the Jewish people. Both are in need of serious internal reform. Honestly as a complete outsider, SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU. I don’t care who started it, or who said or did what, at this point it is imperil that this end immediately. And as an outsider, I think it’s is important that pressure be applied to both sides to put their weapons down. I don’t recall the last time anyone even mention the Israeli hostages, putting any pressure on Hamas to do the one thing that would definitely appease the Israelis. In the same breathe, Israel needs to be further pressured to stop being so trigger happy and lay off of it. \n\nI can only hope, I guess. In the meantime i should really refrain from ranting on YouTube.

It's not a housing bubble. A bubble is when investors overvalue a commodity. Even taking into account speculative property purchases, housing isn't overvalued in Canada. It is where it is because that is where the market has found the balance between the high demand and the low supply. There simply isn't enough housing being built to accommodate a million more people a year. We need to build more lower and middle-class housing. As a student of both history and architecture, I can tell you we've been here before and we dealt with it, and we can again. This situation is both a result of many factors that could and couldn't be centrally controlled. Things that couldn't be controlled: Covid and a spike in retirement rates, an aging population, low profit margins for builders, and inflation (that last one is not so easy for a central bank to control as many people seem to think it is). Factors that could be controlled: Zoning laws and bylaws, linking immigration to the amount of housing available and being built, government greed for foreign money to balance their books, short-sighted politicians of all stripes, underfunding of post-secondary education, and lack of government incentives to make building worthwhile for contractors. I've probably missed some things, but the point is that this is not an intractable predicament, and good leadership, good ideas and the will to make things happen can get us out of it.

im 20 years old and I can see how toronto and Canada as a whole has changed. id say from 2020 on Canada went to shit. It's gotten to a point where I have completely removed the idea of owning my own home here. EVERYONE needs to leave asap.
