The criminally high cost of housing, high cost of commodities, i.e. food, clothing, fuel, utilities, and since we are now suffering from the ineptitude of Justin trudeau, more and more canadians are looking to leave the country, myself included, for the sake of our financial wellbeing, our peace of mind, and reprieve from the seemingly endless cycle of hurry up and wait for healthcare needs, personal matters, and dealing with multi tiered, multi layered government regulations for nearly everything. I personally have contacted consulates general of 12 different nations from the EU to the pan Asian region as well as the US, and will not be living in Canada by summers end 2022. Besides, if Canada was to do a complete 180 on its economic and political directions it will take a generation or more to correct what has been systematically dismantled over the course of the last 30 to 40 years.\n\nTo a university educated, well to do successful entrepreneur and skilled multi trades professional, such as myself, its NOT worth waiting for...

The only people we should be letting into our country are refugees from western democracies that are being invaded by a sovereign nation that is bombing and murdering civilians. What I would like to know is why in the case of roxum road crossing we never saw any US officials there stopping people from illegally leaving the US hmmm! We had the RCMP there all be it as bellboys but they were a least present. I am glad I love Canada and the fact I dont want to leave, this is tought o watch because as a Canadian with Canadian values when we see people in trouble this nation has always offered help to others less fortunate. What killed me is she was eligible for the Working Poor Tax Credit. It goes to show how easy these rules are to exploit. Someone could sit down and calculate exactly what they need to make, how many children they need to have, what activities to pursue etc so they can gain access to all these tax benefits. Make the most money while paying the least tax. There was an article in the nation post about this which discussed Trudeau's statement that the poor do not pay tax. It is crazy the tax credits people get and it makes it so something like close to 40% of people do not actually pay tax. Its one thing when working canadian's benefit, but not Chinese business people who come here, buy a house, maintain their status under false pretenses, then get credits for being poor.
