I am a Economics Major and decided to leave Canada (Toronto) in 2020.\n\nThanks to my education in UoFT, I was able to forecast the macro economic factors and in every permutation combination it was a recipe for disaster. \n\nI sometimes miss Cherry Blossom Spring of the Hyde Park.\n\nBut apart from that, it was a wise decision from my end and never regretted it.\n\nCanada's main issue is not housing crisis but failing to expand opportunities into smaller provinces.

Many, many, many years ago I recall when they expanded Hwy 401 through Toronto and everyone was saying how much of waste it was to have such a large Hwy. Look at it now. It’s called urban planning and your politicians are directly responsible. There should never be a problem with immigration as long as planning is done appropriately. This is where Toronto and Canada fail miserably.

It's all over the world not just Canada!! Simply Multiculturalism just failed miserably.

Trump failed to finish securing the southern border completely, which was his big campaign promise. And remember - he said he would get Mexico to pay for it, which they didn't. As a Brazilian immigrant I can say that it is hard to come to a different country leaving everything behind. However, you have to adapt to Canada not Canada to you. that is where most immigrants, specially Indians, fail to do.

I’m from the United States, I can say that Canadians have such uneasy lives here’s why: paying with too many coins is illegal, it’s illegal to listen to non-Canadian music, and so many companies fail in Canada such as Target and Nordstrom. A discount retailer called Zellers went out of business.

As an American, I can say that life for Canadians is very uneasy because it is illegal to pay with too many coins, listen to non-Canadian music , and there are no stores like Target. Agreed with all your points and thanks for sharing. But honestly, I fail to understand two points here. 1. People living in Canada and commenting that it is true and they are baffled with this whole situations, when exactly you are coming back to India? People will tell you that they want to come back but no one will. It is because those who actually left for Canada in order to have a better lifestyle are still having a better lifestyle in Canada and they will never return back (atleast in the near future). They left for Canada citing the reasons that India is polluted and they are toured based on religion (you know exactly whom I am talking about) but whatever the case is...they are still not coming back. 2. No country is perfect, I agree that Canada has its own problems to deal with but then why Indians are leaving for US, UK and Australia where racisms and cost of living high too? It is because they have issues with India too and those who have issues with a well diverse and prospered country like India, will have problems in other country as well. So if you don't wanna come to Canada, all good but other countries have same problems as well (atleast 80% matches the points discussed in the video - exclude drug ofcouse).

It's been 6+ years in canada , canada is no longer an immigrant country, has high food prices , has no jobs for freshers, has very high rental , has high car insurance, failed the medical system. I'm planning to move india soon. If you do not want to waste your 6 years like me to realize, stay back home. I'm proud, indian.with that mindset, sometime you have to face racism too.

most newcomers to any country struggle especially since most are not bringing in wads of cash to start a business but literally scraping in using life savings just to get here - however once here with residential status a national health care and level of income security for unemployment benefits is an added bonus which you won't get in every country regardless of residency status but refugees and others come in with no money at all as well as problems in some cases with language barriers, but as bad as everyone thinks it is the grass is not greener on the other side just because you're paying lower taxes but privatising infrastructure only makes things more expensive even when you're not taxed.... and Canada is a huge country with very limited number of tax payers such a small market would double costs for private business too - and just cos things may be cheaper you may find you don't fit as well as you thought..... and also the more you move the less time you have to settle and grow into the space you find yourself now....I've lived in 3 very different countries so I understand how difficult it is.... and how some places regardless of cost just fit better than others.... You need to know that people don't study medicine in North America is because many high pay doctor positions are limited to citizens only. These students think they bought citizenship when they were invited here to study. Yes it's predatory, but you can easily google Canada and find out that we have some of the highest cost of living in the world. What they fail to say here is that Canadians are struggling really hard right now and the students are taking up housing and food from charities further exacerbating this crisis. The Canadian government makes alot of money in immigration fees from immigrants but before they were bringing people from all over the world but for past decade it happens to be alot of east Indians, i lived in Brampton for 20 years but decided to move out in 2021 because it didn’t feel like i was living in Canada anymore thanks to Mr Trudeu who gave them ez pass , all the jobs were finished, employers only wanted to hire newcomers so they can exploit them n then you see them protesting on roads, residential areas for not getting paid by employers,failing in college, visa renewal issues, This was another reason why you see so many homeless people and higher rent rates! Most of the legal immigrants are over qualified under paid hard workers, paying higher taxes, getting almost nothing in return. Based on all of this, it sounds like you are arguing that capitalism has failed in Canada. Corporations have built huge monopolies and are gouging Canadians, and investors are buying up every home/condo they can, instead of letting average people buy them up. It also sounds like you're arguing that the government hasn't done enough to stop it. \n\nCanada certainly has its share of issues, but I don't agree with the tone of this, which is mostly Conservative Party talking points. If they were running things, they'd have let mergers go on and signed bad trade deals with countries, just like they did between 2006 and 2015. The Liberals have made a lot of mistakes, but they also weathered the largest financial and health crisis in the last hundred years. I'm not sure what the fix is, but arguing that the Conservatives would have done any better is specious.
