This lady is stupid. Why can't she focus on her own life and not give such bs to this guy. I'm a Canadian myself, and I have to say that I'm not proud knowing there are quite a few of these Karens in Canada, a country where people are known to be generally polite and accepting towards other.

I’ll agree with the “Canadians are nicer” sentiment in every circumstance other than dealing with Americans. I’m American, married to a Canadian and many of them literally scoff when I tell them where I’m from. All I want to do is enjoy their beautiful country but they’d rather talk about politics In the US. It’s exhausting sometimes.

Never been to US but I'd say it is at least worth visiting it as a tourist (specifically Boston or NY) but living there? Hell no ?\nPs. I've been dreaming of US/Canada before (probably watched too many old-school Hollywood movies), but few years later i realized that these countries have many political, social, healthcare and educational problems. \nAlthough I'm not a very talkative person, this country looks to me like a beautiful but empty shell

I'm American, and left the U.S. over 20 years ago and moved to southeast Asia where I'm much happier. Most Americans don't even know their neighbors, are slaves to a job they hate, and are brainwashed to worship money as the most important thing in life, by far. Add to that a massively corrupt political system and a propaganda media that constantly spews lies to the public - it's just an insane way to live.

I'm not happy but we have to admite that Canada is no longer a good country to move to because of high taxes, extreme climate, poor and slow healthcare system, impossible to buy a house. This is so sad because Canada is a extremly beautiful country and the canadians are so nice and polite people.

I love Canada becoz of beautiful nature and beautiful girls..but I talk too much politically, now I'm in unimaginable suffering situation. You come to Canada do not trust anyone and don't say anything bad for them..leaders here make you suffer for the rest of your life..

Same is the condition in India. This country has been deeply infested by the M. There are numerous zones where even the police shivers to enter. NO FKN WAY QC #1 I AM SHOOK. I was so ready to be so triggered about it not being in the top 3. I’m a native anglophone Montrealer born and raised in Quebec and this province, despite its corruption and cyclical political tensions, it is a beautiful, unique, friendly and authentic province.

I’ve lived in Canada my whole life, I’ve gone through a year of culinary school and passed high school with decent grades. Yet still improving my quality of life is an uphill battle. Bus prices and efficiency is awful, if you don’t have a car good luck cause you’ll spend much of your wage on bus fare and still have to walk through poor sidewalk systems to get to your destination. Schooling really didn’t teach me anything about taxes, or getting a job. But let me tell you I sure as heck know how to lease a car.... can’t wait to get a job so I can do that. My year of culinary training, under 4 red seal chefs has gotten me not one job. No matter how perfect you are for the role is you will ALWAYS get an entry level position first. (In my experience at least) and they are completely right, references are 100% key. I have a first shift tomorrow (wish me luck) that I only got because my chiropractor gave the pancakes house owner his reference. Very weird but I’ll take it. On top of all this winter just sucks, politics have gone nowhere in years, and if you don’t live in the major cities of Quebec, BC, or Ontario it’s going to be even harder. Plus living in Manitoba is odd cause people always call it “friendly Manitoba” but everyone (including me) is always frustrated. Needless to say I’m in the process of researching new place to move to, most likely in Europe cause America has all the same problems. (But worse)

I'm from NB, people migrating from Ontario are driving up the house prices and we have no rent caps. Our public transportation isn't that great, and our food prices are $$$. We do have fresh air, Bay of Fundy and polite people. I use to live in Toronto and I can honestly say, some parts are like Detroit City, and this guy is wrong, our public schools are crap ..

I’d love to visit Atlantic Canada: all my friends here on the West Coast say it’s very nice. \nI loved living in Quebec and Montreal, but both cities are very cold in winter—and I don’t speak no french too good, hoste! \nI’m from Ontario. it probably was a beautiful place until white people got there. But it’s way too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Most of my family has moved out to the West Coast. I guess they missed me.\nManitoba is very nice, but you’re right about cold winters and lots of mosquitoes in summer. Winnipeg is a fantastic city. The biggest city on the North American Plains.\nSouthwest Saskatchewan is absolutely beautiful. Nuff said.\nAlberta is one of my favourite provinces—just too bad about the goofy government they got there. I lived and worked there lots over the years. Many Albertans have moved out here to the West Coast to get away from the horrid politics there.\nBC is by far the best place to live. I live in the steep rain shadow of East Vancouver Island, nice and warm, short if any winter. All my friends live here. I used to live in Victoria—we might move back there—it’s my favourite city anywhere. Vancouver is a blast—but too big for me. I wouldn’t live anywhere else in this country but BC. \nFriends tell me Yukon is great but NWT’s Yellowknife is a hell-hole. I read a great online zine from Nunavut—Nunatsiaq. As close as I’m ever gonna get.\nSo you’re ranking is not very good from my perspective. Alberta sucks because of its dependence on bitumen—and it’s not “cyclical”, it’s doomed. Tons of crazy anti-vaxxers and religious right wingers, too. Quebec is wonderful, but too, too cold in winter. Plus muh french ain’t too good, eh...

I agree with everything you have said in this video. I've lived in Canada for over 10 years and must admit, i don't feel at home here at all. I feel Canada is overrated for no reason. House prices are insane, it's almost impossible to buy housing in any big city in Canada anymore. I agree with a lot ppl, the healthcare system here is poorly managed, with long waiting hours if you have an emergency (personal experience). As someone living in a big city in Ontario, it feels like everyone is just busy chasing money. Nobody has time for friends, chilling, etc...Sometimes i feel i have to book an appointment with my own friends if i want them to hang out with them. As an immigrant myself, i must say I hate the mass-immigrant policy that the government is pushing. The neighbourhood i live in, has changed face/demographics so many times... Every group sticks to their own and it feels you'll never be able to adapt as it keeps changing so fast... I also don't like how Canada is pushing their far left agenda down the throat of everyone, with being Politically Correct, promoting LGBQT to underage kids (i don't have any issue with what ppl do in their bedroom, i just have issue with the promotion of it), minority this & that (even though im considered a minority myself). If you come from a middle income country, you'd soon realise Canada ain't so much better than where you come from esp if you have education, healthcare and jobs available. I'm only waiting to win that lotto max now, so i can just return back home and live a quiet peaceful life.

Ranking the best provinces to live in bases on statistics only misses the mark on what actual Canadians think.\nFor example if you were to poll people from across the nation, I’m very certain, Quebec wouldn’t be anywhere near the top of the list as best province to live in, especially considering their politics!!

I am a British Columbian who briefly lived in Quebec, when the army posted me there for basic, I have to say Quebec is horrible, outside of Montreal, if you do not speak French. I also spent 5 years in Alberta & I would rank Alberta as number ☝️ of all of Canada’s provinces. \n\nThat all being said, I am sick of this country’s politics. I deeply regret serving this country due to how badly our current PM has treated us veterans, only PM to ever sue veterans & make massive cuts to veterans support funding. I often wonder why everybody says Canada is so Great. I think it is mostly political bragging. I'm born here and believe me I do not completely understand canadian thinking. It can be quite immovible and even nonsensical. I say good luck to foreigners trying to understand.

The tests with the three friends, I'm not saying the racism it exposed doesn't exist, but I'm curious if attractiveness or character plays a factor in this as well (or even more). Getting different rental prices is outrages. Being stalked in a store is just weird, but a couple of checks I wouldn't mind. If nothing ever happens that will stop. Being asked if you can be helped should not be an issue. Although I admit it can be annoying (I rather shop without interference), but as long as they ask politely, being offended by it is your own problem. As for the hiring part is this video, I believe there might be even more discrimination based on age. I like the idea of blind hiring when possible. Being rated on skills is in the best interest of any party. \n\nAs a society we're making good progress on a lot of levels. There is still ground to gain, but let's also celebrate what has already been achieved in the last couple of generations. Social media makes it look like it's only bad, but don't forget that bad news sells better than good news. And all companies (also news companies) want to make money.

I make it a habit that if I see someone has dropped something accidentally or I see someone struggling with something I always try to help no matter who it is it's just my nature I also smile at anyone I pass but I'm sorry there has been a lot of times I've done one of these things for a Muslim woman or man and 9 times out of ten I never get a thank you or a smile or anything in return in fact I've had nasty looks some times just for being polite and kind there are the very rare exceptions but generally I get nastiness in return I'm not going to stop doing these things cause I enjoy making others happy even if I sometimes get a negative response but these people don't make it easy to like them when they so often look down on us

I'm trying to find information on weather being black and wealthy in Canada: is it worse or better than American. I'm not really concerned about name calling. In America you can be in serious danger being wealthy and black because of the american perception of wealth, cops tend to harass you unless you involve yourself with the political backing of your town. Going to meaningless functions and black tie events and donations to mayor's and goveners. I'm tiered of paying for my freedom is Canada different when it comes to this?

I'm Chinese living in Canada and I don't see a lot of racism in Canada. Maybe other group of ppl are experiencing it I don't know. But as a Chinese person, I don't like political correctness.

To me, a democratic society is an equal and just society for each and every citizen. Freedom is where every citizen has all their civil rights in that democratic society. This means we should be valued and treated equally under every circumstance.\n\nI'm a Canadian and I can see we are not doing that by over-policing black and indigenous communities, by denying indigenous communities the ability to participate in Canadian society with their own culture in tact and by our biases about people with other ethnicities, like Asians and East and West Indians.\n\nWe may not be bad as the US, but we are still doing these things. Hey Drew, great video, I can't comment on the US side but since I'm Canadian, here is a few things I could clarify:\n1. Football isn't really big in Canada, some people watch it but it's not really popular. Soccer isn't big either but more people follow it.\n2. While Canada has a few political parties, it's essentially a 2 party, plus system. Where only the two major parties are ever in power, and a few extra ones are just there.\n3. From what I know tipping is big in Canada but a bit less then in the US, in most restaurants it's acceptable to tip 13%\n\nOverall great video, stay safe!\nChag sameach

TRUE STORY : first time i went to Costco, i was ignored and rude to. Finally, i asked why am i being ignored? He apologized and offer to assist me. I told him I'm interested in on a membership and the city credit card. He bluntly told me, he doesn't think I'll get approve for the credit card. I asked why? He said because nobody ever does. I replied, i am not a NOBODY! He said please be quiet and complete my application profile. He did just so. He was genuinely shocked, when i got an instant $4k approval. He apologized again and asked politely what my credit score was. I told him 797 with an 7% debt to racial. Me being an international student in Montreal some times feel the opposite way people don’t follow me they actually pretend to ignore and talk less bcuz I don’t know French and and I m a brown beard guy lollllll.....but I never mind ...........though 90 percent of Canadians are really polite people at least that I could say after 10 months in this city

My mother's background is ambiguous based on looks. She's actually English and Irish but she has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes and naturally tanned skin. It's very unusual for someone of British ancestry, but family photo's of Mum's family show the same colouring back to her great-great-grandfather. In Britain, as a blonde, blue-eyed daughter, I've watched my whole life as people treated her differently to other relatives. She's quiet, polite and her father was a police chief inspector, she strictly obeys the law. I've overheard people refer to her as a 'paki' and all sorts of derogatory things. When we went to the US, it wasn't better. They were rude to her until she spoke and then reacted with shock. Some admitted they thought she was Mexican. \nSo, is it any easier for her in Canada? When she visits me here, she is mistaken for an aboriginal. It isn't any easier for her here. And pettiness of it all. When they hear her accent, suddenly it's like she's their best friend. \nThe sad/funny thing is, often I can't find customer service more than half the time I'm out. When I'm with my mother, there is ALWAYS someone around to ask for help.

I'll lay it out for you: Me: typical middle of the road liberal oriented Canadian. Non white, immigrant (I wasnt born here) I worked in a Refugee housing for over 4 years in Ontario. Most were not war areas refugees (Yes I know there are other types of refugees). I only encountered few refugees from war areas. ONLY 1 person from Iraq, about 2 families were from Afghanistan, 1 couple from Pakistan(I doubt they were real refugees they spoke fluent English, maybe political refugee), and a most from African countries. Its too far for real refugees to get here. Its Easier for them to go to other countries nearby or Europe. MOST SEEM TO BE ECONOMIC REFUGEES. Most were coming from Africa. Some are coming from Latin America, which shouldn't be happening. Once they showed up at our doorstep and we processed them into the system, they were immediately in the same class as a Canadian resident homeless person if they were making a refugee claim. We get money to house and feed them (from the government), and they are given a stipend for basics from the government processed through the Social Assistance/ Welfare system (they get less than a resident/citizen I think.). They then have to get their case processed by the refugee board, and most seem to get in. I've only heard of few getting sent back. One person I know at our facility, was given a subsided social housing apartment after a year in our facility. So they went straight from a shelter to a government/city owned subsidized apartment. (Didn't seem like it was a issue for the housing worker...they didn't report it (if they were not the ones that helped the person to get it), they were white, the housed person was Latin. This refugee claimant, and then month or two new Canadian resident person was given an apartment in a prime area of the city, instead of the 1000's of Canadians, those who came before them, and born Canadian citizens on an extremely long waiting list. How this was allowed to happen I don't know. The person was probably sucking on someone's straw. I'm just trying to think the barriers these people have to go through to get a job here. We are far removed from the time of the 80's and 90's., and housing and jobs are so hard to get. Lol the "Canadian government asks them to repay the traveling cost to Canada if they are sent back"....I wonder how much the government recoups?.....more like 0 probably. What a bunch of crap. How do you demand someone to repay their flight cost when they get back to their country?

I'm the whitest dude ever and get followed ALL THE TIME in stores. Likewise, the fact that they actually came out with the Implicit Association Test made this show lose all validity. Multiple takes of the test can yield different results, and as you take the test, you actually get better at not making mistakes. It actually forces you to make mistakes on the black faces. Take one, you'll see. Likewise, statistics exist. Mark is in fact more likely to steal than Rory. We're confusing overt racism with unfortunate group statistics. Also, Muslim isn't a race, but it is an inherently political ideology... Why are you guys so dishonest?

He seems like an honest and good guy who just wants to provide for his family and ensure a better future and life for them. I can respect that fully and I admire that greatly.\n\nBut a big HA!! to all those looney liberals who don't know anything about Canada and think that everyone has it so much better over in the north. So I'm in a dilemma of whether I should move down to Florida and live with my American girlfriend, or stay up here and support her moving up here in Canada. My main issue is health care. I just hear many people have bad service and poor treatment with insurance down there, but it all depends what insurance your applying with. People are fairly nice, but there are also some douche bags as well so I'm not surprised. With my overall budget, I could likely stay down there for about a few months or so. Here in Canada, taxes are a little higher, but it's worth it (Some idiot said our taxes are lower), health care is paid for, winters are cold but anyone can survive through it. Some say Canada is a socialist (which is Not -_-). Liberal party is ruining Canada as it is in a way. But again, it's better Justin than Trump. (Betting for Scheer). Idk, politics is bad in both countries I say. Idk, I'm likely missing some things here. Should I move down with my girlfriend, or stay up and support her moving up here?

I used to be a very liberal person for most of my life and tolerant of other cultures and religious faith, like many others I may add.\n However my tolerance is wearing somewhat thin, like many others I may add again, after hearing the same old opinions coming from Muslims repatriated in western societies. \n They come into our cultures on mass and never assimilate into ours, but create their own little pockets of cultural being within our national borders.\n We hear time and again how the indigenous populist must be accepting of them, even though very few are accepting of our culture, using an analogy it's akin to inviting a stranger into your home and give them a safe place to live, food, money and all items that go along with it, and the next thing their sat on your favourite chair with your remote in their hand, even going to bed with your wife!\n We need to wear our head covering it's our right they chant, OK then, afford the same favours to us in your country, let my partner wear her bikini when she's walking down the road, let us drink alcohol, build Christian churches, you get where I'm going with this.\n If it's so great there why do you choose to live here? All the customs you seek are there if you feel that uncomfortable here? \nGiving Sewden as an example, there are now 180 Muslim 'ghettos' not the same you get in the US as the accommodation and welfare is quite generous there, a lot of them are 'No-go' areas even for the police, they mostly hate the Swedish people, a criminal element there will only rob off the swedes, and rape has gone up tenfold committed mostly by the Muslims, and it's only going to get worse as they are accepting another forty thousand of them, even though they have a crisis of a shortage of housing. \n If you ever needed an example of when your political parties have totally lost the plot, and are insanely progressive and what your country could become, then use Sweden as a barometer as to what your country could also decay into.\n The Muslims hate use, hate our freedoms, and just think of us as 'infidels' , multiculturalism has proved on this scale that it does not work, unless immigrants come with the mindset that they assimilate into the culture they are heading for, not the other way around.
