Please know that many Americans don’t agree with these tariffs placed on Canada either, that Canada has always been a good neighbor, always will be. These are sad and dangerous times for many US citizens with this present administration wreaking havoc on our beloved country.

I have read many comments expressing support for Canada and assurances that the writers didn't vote for this administration. Until now, something like this could only be seen in totalitarian countries, it was the Russians, Belarusians who explained that they did not support Putin or Lukashenka, that they didn't want to be associated with the actions of their authorities. Now i see the times when Americans are ashamed of their administration in front of their allies.

This is a watershed moment in history. The axis of evil now contains Russia, China, North Korea, Iran and the USA. History tells us that such tectonic shifts in political and military power have many unpredictable consequences for many decades. Peace in Europe is unlikely to be one of them. We must urgently prepare for the worst. \nThe USA is no longer a serious player in world affairs. If the EU does not fill the breech, there will soon be global chaos, and probably war throughout Europe. It is time now for Europe to decouple from the USA. We must prevent the USA and Russia from carving up Ukraine between them. Let's join forces.

Many of my friend's moved there and every time i speak to one of them always telling me how great the country is and how smooth the things are going when everybody gets to a common front

I could go on about the billions in taxpayers' money the government blows - it's like a black hole - or the fact that MPs keep getting raises - April 1 is their fifth since COVID - and most federal and government employees are all getting raises at a time when the rest of us are learning to get by with less and less because we're taxed so much and housing, groceries, etc. are so unaffordable.\n\nI have applied for US citizenship. I want to stick around to fix Canada, but I think it's too far gone. We have too many socialists/communists in power and they're not getting voted out any time soon. We have maintained a high level standard of living, when by all rights we should not have it. Many want to blame government, but one part of the problem is an over reliance as an exporter of raw natural resources and a reliance on generally a single market (USA) for our goods. Interestingly enough the problems have been reinforced by governments of every type. What annoys me most is that these issues have been known for a long time, and the various governments have been scared to do anything about it. And they never took Sir Donald's words seriously - either about the tarriffs or statehood. I have heard zero from any level of government looking for new markets for our goods, yet they have had since November to do something. Going to be a stressful ride for many of us. I am recently retired and wonder if I should be worred.

However, we have one key advantage over our friends to the south, and one I hope that over time this will increasingly bear fruit: we are not governed by a fascist-adjacent government. Im Canadian with a lot of health issues. Many trips to the ER, the longest I have had to wait, was about 15 mins. And if it was real serious, I was seen by a doctor immediately. I hear people complain about wait time, but the problem we have is that many people take advantage of the ER instead of making an apt with their family Dr. So if it's not an emergency and you go to the E.R. you will wait.

Where did you get this info? The Canadian border does not have that kind of traffic, unless you are looking at the last 5 years. There have been that many coming across from Mexico in a week or even a day at times.

I am born and raised in NYC. In Queens many businesses are now suffering with lack of staff and the owners or their family members are now doing the work they’ve been paying immigrants that don’t have their paperwork together to do. It is sad so many people trying to start over and get treated poorly! As a community member it is also annoying having to wait much longer for food or the quality of atmosphere lacking now etc I know something needed to be done in regards to the immigration issue but at the same time it sucks to realize just how many people were being taken advantage of in ALL the local businesses smh. It is definitely a catch 22!

Been to USA and was terrified of getting sick or hurt the whole time I was there. Our healthcare is free. Everyone possibly carrying guns was a scary thought also. When I was 19 I went to ft lauderdale, scary as youth were falling off balconies from drunkenness and I got accosted (attempted recruitment). by I don’t know how many pimps. And if you whant faster service you have the option to have private service if you pay. Also if you have major problem even if it free you will pass really really fast. tyler i don't think u realize how bad the usa education system really is. i'm canadian but have lost count of the number of usa teachers who have complained about how bad they are held back from teaching kids properly, how kids can't be failed or held back, how kids graduating gr 12 can't read or write past gr 6 level. in fact recently there was a statistic put out that something like 60% of ALL americans cant read or write past gr 6. considering all your universities that is terrifying. not to mention with gun violence, straight up violence among kids and at teachers, the disrespect and the severe lack of good parenting, kids are not being educated at all. u yourself have done videos on where someone interviews americans and asked them questions about canada and they haven't got a clue. not one clue. yet canadian kids are regularly taught all about their american neighbours. are kids know more about america then american kids do and thats shameful. u need to do some research on this because unless u live in a rich gated elite community and go to private school the public education system in the usa is very dismal and woefully inadequate. \nalso he's right about politics. here we can discuss it rationally and then move on to other topics. in the states ppl are shooting ppl over differences in politics. beating ppl up trashing their cars and property etc. and many police are definitely not presenting themselves with professionalism tons of racism going on. and so many police because everyone is armed. here in canada we are not allowed handguns and pretty much ppl only have hunting rifles. it takes a lot of work and clearance not to mention time and money to take the necessary classes and get the necessary permits to even own a hunting rifle. in the usa show a drivers license and wait 10 days u have a handgun no matter how mental u are. therefore u need way more police than here in canada. i think u have a well to do upbringing so u have not and do not see the true picture of the america u live in. \nalso i have talked to many american friends who had insurance and still cost them about $5000 per birth of a child. with good insurance and working full time. so thats about average. here in canada u pay nothing except maybe parking for hubby while he visits.

Unfortunately, the Indian tourists I've seen in Thailand have shown little respect and dont follow the rules. I saw many times tourists throwing their garbage onto the beach or making a mess and leaving it. I also saw Indian men approaching married women who were with their families and treating them prostitutes, It was disgusting behaviour. If that happened in India, there would be outrage. I believe etiquette must be taught before these types of people are allowed to travel representing your country.

The commentary here sounds so much like U.S. citizens griping, it's almost funny, but also sad. Maybe Trump the ignoramus is right... do Canadians really want to give up and just become part of the USA? I doubt it, but if you're in any doubt as to where to live, don't try just south of you. It's got all the problems you mention and then some. And of course it's still a great country; I was born here and live here happily. But I've also been to Canada four times since the 1980's, and each time I am just wowed by the many ways in which Canada seems ahead of the USA. I watched your report on London Ontario's problem with drug distribution centers... I thought that you give it a good effort and it was really worth my time to watch it, it presented some real truths that inspire me to grow more truths within my mind about the situation, and that is what is needed for people to create solutions. You did a service by presenting that report. However you really missed the mark on this report about Brampton... in many many ways. You need to do more research, you can't 'lead' your interviewee's, and you have to provide information, facts. There were all kinds of directions you could have gone with the comment provided by the people you spoke to, there were all kinds of facts that you could have brought to the table. There IS perhaps a story there, but you didn't find one worth telling. It looks like you're really dedicated to this pursuit of reporting, and it it looks like you're a one man team... this work is hard to do, you should consider getting some help 'putting dots together' and creating your presentations.

Basically, for the past four years, Biden, Harris and the Democrat Party have spent hundreds of billions of US tax dollars flying illegal immigrants in and basically leaving America’s borders in Mexico and Canada wide open to mass illegal immigration. The simple fact that Democrats got more upset that Elon Musk bought Twitter than they are, that their own political party in government for the past four years, has literally been holding them at gunpoint and forcing them to pay taxes so that they could steal it or launder it into their own campaigns and pockets is literally disturbing! WTF!!!! If any of those other federal agencies are ran or funded the way U.S. AID were, with the massive corruption, misappropriation, fraud and theft of taxpayer funds, then I hope DODGE goes through an completely audits, every single federal agency in the United States. There are so many illegals Indians here. . They have taken all the jobs. ., In Brampton nobody else can get work. . They are also very rude and racist. . Lots of them are criminals. . I remember in Matamoros 4 or 5 years ago a group of migrants stormed the bridge. I was crossing to work on a daily basis at the time and had to cross the BM Bridge because Gateway Bridge was where these clowns staged their protest. Barriers were erected, guns were locked and loaded and these scumbags put the CHILDREN in their group at the front, as some kind of shield. They disrupted the lives of a huge part of the city because so many of us cross on a daily basis, to school, work, etc. I've got several stories of how awful they were in the slum they set up in front of the bridge...

We just can't build a wall for the whole huge Canadian border. Also, they are still crossing over the Mexican border state of the art wall/fence with ladders. The ONLY solution is to have a huge border patrol force that will be guaranteed to catch and arrest all illegal aliens. Then, the illegal aliens will be either instantly deported after paying a significantly large fine to the US Treasury OR if they cannot or won't pay the fine, sentenced to a dentention camp for a set length of time as a punishment, maybe one year of hard labor and minimalistic amenities-that is, NO MORE EBT cards, no more lux hotels. Once their detention sentence is completed, they will be quickly and efficiently deported to either their own country of origin or Canada or Mexico. IF it's done right, I don't think there will be many repeat offenders.
