The problem with Canada started in the Early 80s .because we open the door to the country. When they said that immigrants built this country..lol it was only the European Italian that built this country..lol No Indian did anything for this country or any other immigrants lol wake up people

Simple fact is that the new immigrants she is talking about are opportunists and complainers. I am an immigrant of 50 years. I had three jobs by the age of 15. My father, was a determined immigrant from UK who brought us here. He died from Mesothelioma - A rare form of lung cancer directly linked to asbestos exposure. He often worked weekends in the schools where he taught. When they asked him to remove the asbestos from the ceilings of the schools he was happy to help. He, along with similar European immigrants at that time built the infrastructure, hospitals and everything that attracts new immigrants.\n\n My advice to my fellow Canadians? You are only as Canadian as you feel, Canadian as you assert, Canadian as you are prepared to sacrifice. Given enough time, the fairweather folks, previously from Abu Dhabi, Dubai or some other haven will sour and move on. Canada needs to bring 5 million immigrants from Eastern Europe, like Poland, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Macedonia etc. Just look at the Eastern Europeans in Canada, they and their Canadian born children and grandchildren have learned and speak the English language fluently. In Canada, people speak English and French. The British and the French values must be upheld. God save the King.

I think if Canada brings in too many immigrants from non european societies, it may lead to cross-cultural problems?

Ya all those black and brown people their parents were immigrants… and after 10 years current immigrants will be citizens, but they don’t considered as citizens… only white people are First Nation citizens….not even European immigrants

Im European decent. My family came here in the 1800s on the other side they came from Britain in the 1960s. My great grand parents, great uncles, much of my family served and died in ww2 my grandmother was a\nWw2 orphan. She made a life for herself and came to Canada and purchased two homes. These immigrants are coming with nothing but bad attitudes

I am by heritage a white, Irish/English person. When my forefathers came here in the 16th and 17th centuries they were primarily monogamous and competed with those of French heritage to run this fledgling country. Now the immigration is coming from Asian and Middle Eastern countries. Why do Canadians of European backgrounds feel they have exclusivity of this country ?

Alright. The median age in Canada is 41years. That means in 20 years, majority of the population would be close to retirement, which also means that if a younger population is not 'brought in' it would be disastrous for the economy. That being said, the government can limit the number for people immigrating from certain countries. If you need more Europeans, you need to create a social support net better than Europe. Enough is enough. Too much money spent on immigrants and illegal immigrants instead of Canadians born. I am not against immigration but the numbers have increased toooooo much. I was just watching the streets, the crowds the guy is interviewing, most of them are hindus and hindus and Pakistanis and maybe one European descent can be spotted in hundred. Trust is you may need immigration, but that is white European immigration, as it used to be back in the days. Give it two generations of mixing and the third generation will look exactly like you. Not to mention we share pretty much most of our cultures and will embrace each other.

Canadians are themselves immigrants in these lands. Europeans came in 18th century, took the lands from the natives and two hundred years after, they say, hey, immigrants from India have flooded “our” country, this is not Canada any more. Canada just like the US is a country of constant immigration and when immigrants from other countries arrive you should adapt to each other’s cultures and customs.

Don't blame India for this. Blame the vote bank politics of the liberal politicians you voted to power. Most migrants from India are from the state of Punjab. Most of whom are NOT Hindus. A small fraction of these are separarist convicts who have been given refuge by the liberals and they refuse to engage with the Indian authorities to send them back for trial. As long as you blame others for your voting mistakes, you'll keep facing the same problems. It's not just caucasians who are leaving Canada. Immigrants who came legally a decade or more ago are frustrated here and are leaving and these include ones with non European backgrounds. Your view is eurocentric. Work on these areas.
