44 deportations a day? Even the government acknowledges that there are over 1 million people who have overextended their visa's/permits and have been ordered to be deported by judges but have not been (that does not include people currently being processes). So, 44 a day is a ridiculously low number. Imagine if the government did its job, that would be around 1 million places to live that could be freed up during this housing crisis.

Ohhh ya mr.president..... first you open the doors for such students, collect their money ( 28 billion ) which is more than canadas military budget and now you say we dont need them...This is hypocrisy.... The stringent policies had to be in place right from inception. U cant say now that you were not aware of the wrong practises going on .....college in strip malls, no classes being conducted, all kinds of scams have happened and no one cared. \n\nAnd students are also to be blamed too....without checking anything they blindly just followed a dream never to be coming true. \n\nInstead of protesting to stay...,ask government to give your money and you will be happy to go back. As an Indian, this feels really heartbreaking. Hearing the worsening experiences of Canadians themselves, i dont Know what to say. There are a couple of things, which i have noticed so far. both the canadian government, and the Indian students shifting to Canada are at wrong. I wont take the side of the Indians. I totally believe in learning about the culture, the language of the place, u are shifting to, solely for education purposes, but most of the students, especially indians forget that. Even i would not feel fine if someone(immigrant) would come to my home country without knowing about the culture, the language, and just simply misuse our resources. \nBoth the parties have resulted in breaking the trust of the canadians. I immigrated from the Philippines because of the tyrannical regime and martial law of the Marcos government at Co the time. I was 13 and my dad decided on Vancouver over 4 other places. I am Canadian above all but I have seen how things have been going downhill… and I have observed the patterns as to WHY. I am 65 and I want to leave BC especially, but Canada has so fallen because of … well, bad governance.

biggest problems are the delusional politicians in the government who dont take care of its citizens in the first place take care of your country first and once you've done that then you can help those are in need of support but not at the expense of the livelyhood of its residence in america and not at the expense of their freedom ot their well being. that goes for every government and i can see too many of those politicians are too focused on getting wealthy being greedy increasing rent, taxes etc they are a disgrace.

I grew up in Montreal and left to go to graduate school in California. I have since moved to Las Vegas (California was a dissaster runned by Democrats who screwed up everything) and everything fell into place and I am extremely happy. I make a good living here and I can usually make a same day or next day appointment to see a doctor when I need one. I remember how bad government runned healthcare in Canada was and that it used to take months to make an appointment to see a doctor. The medical system in the USA is top notch as long as you live in a Republican dominated state. I guess that's the difference between Canada's government runned healthcare and the USA's private healthcare. Anytime the government operates a system it is a dissaster. If you're looking to move somewhere I would recommend Las Vegas.

you should kiss the ground your stepdad walks on. i have watched the video's he is in and he is a wonderful down to earth person. your governments policies have ruined the country. i live in northern ontario in the summer and have for years so i know what i am talking about. in timmins they have a spot that drug users can come to and do their drugs in a safe place. when crimes are commited the punishment is a complete joke. toronto was a beautiful place 50 years ago, also vancover. they suck now, totally ruined. so good luck young lady. you have traveled more than 99.99 percent of the population. if you haven't found what you are looking for by now it's not going to happen.

I moved to Australia from Canada over 20 years ago. After the draconian lockdowns and being forced out of my job by j mandates, I've wanted to get the hell out of this country. Since Labor won all state elections and the federal election, things have taken a serious downturn. It's a big clown show. The state government here in Victoria, home of Dictator Dan, has racked up such a colossal debt that there's just no way out of it. They're raising taxes and making up new ones as the go along into the abyss. There's nothing here but a big real estate bubble and when it pops, there will be tent cities all over the place. The government created the problem just like in Canada. They increased the population by 1.6% in ONE SINGLE YEAR with immigration and now there's not enough housing to meet demand. The lockdowns took all my savings and a chunk of my superannuation to just survive, and I was robbed of over a year of earnings by the government. I've been stuck in this massively over-priced hovel for 3 years longer than I had planned and now would be lucky to even be in the top 20 picks for a rental, at twice the price. It's only a matter of time before the job market implodes due to business closures and the all around terrible climate in which to start new business. I want out, but the prospect of returning to Canada is beyond depressing. Everything that drove me out of Canada in the first place is 10x worse now. My other alternative is UK but I don't feel like going to prison for liking memes about Keir Starmer on Facebook, so UK is out of the question. Not to mention that it's economically doomed and has a worse healthcare system than Canada. There are lines around city blocks to get into a GP clinic.

I'm Canadian born and raised. My grandparents came from England after WW2 for a better life and sadly the Canada that they immigrated to is long dead. \n\nThe lack of opportunity and the insane policies of the federal government has severely decimated the quality of life in Canada. I wanted to start a family and own a home, nothing huge or extravagant, just something to call my own and all of that seemed impossibly out of reach to me. I had a somewhat well-paying job and lived within my means and I could not seem to get ahead. I didn't own a large or new vehicle, rarely ate out and would always try to buy used. Still, I could barely save or invest anything. \n\nNot wanting to live in a place that just wants me to be poor, lonely and unhealthy I pulled the trigger and left for Eastern Europe. I have no regrets and while it has been a difficult and stressful process, it has been well worth it.

Our country has been destroyed by the past 8 years of the liberal government and the mass immigration. I too am leaving because it makes me so sick to see whats happening. I have met so many who are going to small places in Canada as they get their PR card faster. \nThen the idiots in our government think its ok for them to bring all their families. I'm a Canadian and I moved to Asia 20 years ago. My motivations for leaving were the endless winters, the absolute necessity of having a car and two sets of tires, crazy insurance prices, and getting taxed on everything without seeing benefits. Now when I visit I am shocked at the price of everything from food to gas to hotels. In addition, I hear that housing has gone through the roof. Many can't afford to buy and face bidding wars to rent a place. With oil, timber, minerals and more, Canada should not be in this position. The government(s) have really messed things up and need to start reversing these trends now.

Why don't you people now vote out the politicians that has led this country to become a rubbish place? Put leaders in government that is patriotic, that has Canadians welfare in mind.

For me a Québécois, we missed the boat in 1995. Too bad if you don’t like it but we got screwed by newly arrived immigrants back then and we are being drowned by immigrants now. There are a lot more reasons to leave Canada other than the insanely high cost of living, which comes from inflation, a hidden tax, the higher crime or greater drug use. In general the quality of the people sucks, and what she may know but is not mentioning is the fact that it is only a matter of time before they institute digital mark of the beast central bank slave money in Canada. Then the government will control your money 100%, and will tell you what you can do or not do and thing or not think or poof, there goes your money. They are also paying farmers all over the place to stop growing food, because of climate change, lol, so there will be food shortages and energy shortages because that causes rises in co2, a gas that when doubled makes plants grow 50% faster. The ruling class in Canada has much worse plans for Canadians than they realize, and I wish people would be more honest and knowledgeable to talk about these things too. But yeah, economically in 10 years what it is going to be like in Canada will make what is happening now look like a stroll in the park.

I love Canada. But I have told my kids to see a living elsewhere. It’s not a change of political party will fix the place…there are some structural issues from all levels of government to large businesses and schools…etc that are really f’d up in Canada. Canadians don’t know if they should be more American or European…they are kind of stuck. The government has grown to be a major employer and the most significant company is Shopify. Alberta is most prosperous province that wouldn’t even be in the top 20 American states.

It's easy to immigrate, you're in the same timezone as most of the English-speaking audience (that makes the most money per view) and Mexico (and Canada) have extremely comprehensive tax treaties with the US and endless MOUs and so on, which make dealing with Google and the IRS super easy. If you can move to the US, do so. While there is tension down here, it is by far the freest nation. Look at Europe, they're going down the fascist route, same with Australia, NZ. And Canada unfortunately is entering that realm whereby your rights are going to be extinguished. Even with a change of government, when you are beholden to an inbred, foreign crown, it gets harder and harder. South America is no different. Don't kid yourselves, places like Costa Rica sound like an idyllic place but there is crime, poverty, nasty insects. Moscow on the other hand is not bad, it's like the 1980s in the US there, sure the infrastructure is sub par and they do have crime but aside from the proxy war going on, it's an option if you are of Russian decent. Your best bet is still the US, if you can wait the years, pay all the fees, jump through all the hoops, unless of course you are an illegal, non-white and a potential Democrat voter.

I think you need to be patient. Canada is a good place and can be again with the Liberals being replaced. People in Canada are more centre politically than extreme left or right. From what I see with comments across the different podcasts I watch, people in Canada are fed up with the direction he has taken us. A more centre government be in place will bring us back to a more familiar country.

You don't really have to sugar coat it. Canada WAS a great place to live but it's just not anymore. That's why you're leaving. And let's be clear that this is fault of Liberals in power. Canada's peace, safety, security, and economy are being negatively impacted by some individuals who come to Canada on student visas, particularly those from India. These individuals are allegedly committing various crimes such as carjacking, theft, and other offenses to support themselves financially while living in Canada and sending remittances to their families in India. Unfortunately, their actions do not contribute positively to Canadian society or the economy; instead, they place a significant financial burden on the economy and create unrest in the community.The Canadian government must put a 5-10 year ban on Indian student and deport all those who are involve in illigal activities or does not have financial funding from their home country to study and live in Canada.

We Canadians welcome legal migration but illegal migration that has taken place under the Trudeau Government has been abused and its costing us taxpayers way too much money. So many Canadians in the same situation — perhaps use your Canadian passport ? so many better places for you to be… find a nice job across the border in the US — it’s so easy to get a TN work Visa, or work tax free in the UAE, or build a nice career in Singapore. I had the same problem with Australia — it’s my home, and my heart will always fondly call it home forever. Australia is a big country with small job market, generally ignorant (but nice) people and limited economic diversity. One gets proper civic amenities only in either Melbourne or Sydney e.g., top notch medical care, a wide variety of groceries etc. Taxation is very high and although some people will tell you “we are well taken care of…” that is not true nowadays. The Australian Government’s policies over the last 40 years destroyed manufacturing, the economy, working conditions and inflated the property market. A reasonable 2-bedroom apartment in a Sydney suburb could cost you Au$2000-3000 in rent or Au$500,000+ to buy — and that goes higher as you get closer to downtown Sydney. The problem is that incomes are not high enough in Australia and housing quality is less than average overall for these ridiculous prices. Food, tolls and petrol cost a lot, although Sydney and Melbourne’s fresh food markets give you better prices than you’ll find in most other cities. My wife and I had a combined income of over Au$300,000/year while we lived there. We finally left Australia and moved to the US because even with our relatively high income we could only have an average house for around Au$1.8 million, we couldn’t fill up the tub and have a proper bath because of water restrictions, our kids would get an average schooling and their only dream in life would be to one day own a house. We didn’t want to live like that, so we wrapped up and left for good. The US is much better for skilled people — I don’t mean plumbers, tilers, roofers or landscapers, although life is good for them too. I’m sure someone will reply to this comment about the gun violence in the US. All I can say is that in the US we have the option to defend ourselves whereas in Australia we are expected to quietly die if someone kicks us in the head, stabs us or shoots us. Quality of life is good here in the US for me and my family. Fly free, mate!

I worked for a Canadian company for 25 years living in the USA, California / Silicon Valley specifically and spent days in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver - great place but probably has been run-down by wrong Government policies just like the USA - first blame is always on immigrants even though majority of them (especially in the USA) do jobs that Americans or Canadians do not want to do - farm work, construction work and services while 50% do get proper education and find good jobs and build up the community\nPolitics in the USA and Canada has gone so bad in recent years almost everyone is thinking of moving back to native country or find other affordable places - easier decision at the age of 33 but not 66\nWherever you go, I am guessing it will be around Bali, good luck and may you have all the success you strive for and deserve!

Canada is a beautiful country but screwed up by bad government. The situation in Canada is not positive and will continue to deteriorate. Alina hasn’t figured out yet that all countries of any consequence are run by the same syndicate. They control the puppet politicians and the fake political parties. Canada is still benefiting from its previous homogenous culture and economy but now things are deteriorating rapidly. Thanks so much for sharing this Alina! I can relate to what you're going through - I was born in the UK, moved to the US at 11 and then moved back to the UK at 24. I decided to leave the US because I began to realise that it's just not an ideal place to work and raise a family. The state I lived in (South Carolina) has a better quality of life than, say, California, New York, Oregon, Washington or New Jersey, but overall the US just doesn't do an adequate job of caring for its citizens, and the US government (especially those left of centre) has its priorities in the wrong place. The UK has its own problems no doubt, but overall the UK does a much better job of caring for its citizens than the US does. \n\nIt'll be more difficult for you than it was for me because you'll be going to an entirely new country where you have no family and no social network, but you're an intelligent and daring woman, you seem to be quite comfortable around new people, and you'll settle into wherever you end up very quickly. The government is like this, because there is no Rental cap, and they allow Owners to rent out places for whatever they want in whatever shape. The government won't step into to ensure: rent paid goes towards your credit score, living conditions are good in these units, owners arnt over charging, and are Legal units; so then why would the Government step in now to help Evict tenants, and help owners be able to rent without fear this will happen to them/again. FYI Housing crisis is Government issue as well, as they are allowing Owners to be slimy as well in regards to doing and charging whatever they feel, for whatever they have (good living condition or not). The government created this craziness; of course they will take forever to fix it; like tax time- if we owed them money they want it ASAP, yet they owe us money- they take it into investigation (between now and a year etc) and then they eventually pay it out(if they don't decide to reevaluate your file)... The government broke it; they'll take forever to (not) fix it.

The Century Initiative demands that Canada reach a population of 100 million by 2100. That’s roughly a new Winnipeg every year for eighty years just to reach a completely arbitrary number with no infrastructure in place to do so. Landlords should band together and not rent their properties. See how fast the country crumbles with people out of the streets. Landlords provide housing for those who can’t afford to buy a home to at least have a place to live. The government has failed the people with not building enough homes, and now they rub salt on the wound with mass immigration.

The lobbygroups of hyperwealthy landlords that despice immigrants but are even more addicted to extreme housing prices and grazy demand will use their phone numbers in the Government to keep the gates open. Many immigrants have to bring alot of money and skills just to enter the rat race on the lowest level and be ripped off in pay dumping and rent hiking schemes. In the end everyone depending on income and on housing on rent or credit is put against each other while some make a awful lot of money doing nothing.\nAt least it would help if the create a sheme where people have to sign up to staying in places in the West for a couple of years where hands are needed.

This has been a problem for 40 years and the reason where hearing about it now is black rock a hedge fund wants to buy up Single family homes/condos and cannot mass rent without changes to the landlord and tenant board. It is the reason the interest rate is currently so high, push people to bankruptcies and buy up the bankruptcies. But honestly if the government is subsiding the building of condos, the infrastructure that supports them, then hands out tax money to builders, gears immigration policy to increase demand then hands out trillions in loans though the CMCH and other programs and most people don't have more than 5 to 15 percent down and then they rent the place out; is it really their place to complain about a tenant. After all their ownership is basically subsidiesd completely by the government and the banking system, they are in effect a minority stake holder in a government banking scam.

I was going to say the immigrant only thing is one thing on TOP of the INSANE pricing... you gotta be a girl working and can't have ANY vice or plan on having ANY kind of life or freedom even though you pay to live there, even working a full time job you will be struggling and majority of these lower rent places were great and usually always been for students no matter what your sex or where you are from to which if you are getting government money to attend school you can only work a certain amount of hours with that funding for school being BARELY enough to get by and forget about it if you have disability you get slightly more but NO landlord wants you if you have disability.... Landlords need to be stopped and controlled.

More people from all over the world, open borders and monthly checks, housing, food, phones maybe they will be lucky too or maybe some who has it in for America will enter while its easy. It’s the governments fault. We have laws and policies in place but are hardly ever enforced by our elected officials.

A tenant of mine - a social worker - shifted a homeless man into an empty apartment in my house without asking for a permit. I offered him to shelter the homeless man as a guest within his rented apartment, yet this he did not want. Typical socialist: placing the rotten egg in the nest of others to deal with. I told him, if he does this again, then eviction time comes.\n\nThere is a way to get the above lady out. No, I am not talking about hitmen from the dark web. What I mean is, get the government agencies involved by claiming she endangers hygienic conditions within the building. There is always some evidence for that, if not then be creative and shift the blame.

Well my house to taken over by convicts and out of compassion me and my wife gave them our house, as we didn’t know how absurd the laws are to evict a bad tenant.\n\nI being helpless called police and email PM helpline , housing minister, but nothing happened till 4 months, they destroyed my property, and still owe me 14k rent plus utilities, excluding the damages and property mess they created. \n\nWe were terrified , they had two big rescues dogs and would threat us if we come to ask for house check or rent , they would release the dogs on us. \n\nI still have tenant body order for money claim, but my family suggested to leave and move on . But then i think , they would do the same with what ever place they try to move.\n\nWhy would government not spare out property tax or give the home owner the loss of property amount. \n\nYou miss the tax the government pr bank come after you with all the forces. \n\nIts like the house crises , the government want to say , let the stupid home owners eradicate that issue and them let they suffer from the bad tenants abuse the so called tenant laws. \n\nI know my family had to go through.

Canadians are not against immigration they are against miss-management by the corrupt Liberal/NDP government. This video is misleading in its investigation. Neither clearly shows what the cause is and ignores the illegal immigration that was encouraged by the Liberal government in the first place and doesn't propose a common sense solution to it.

As an immigrant who grew up here, I am always judged because I say Canada should limit the number of immigrants coming in the country not because I am egoistic or what but because I think that Canada is selling a dream to people who sell their houses and everything to come to a place where the system has lost its structure. ? I don’t blame immigrants but the government for failing not the country but also new arrivals

This should not happen , why do they let them get away with this. You rent a place you pay or you’re out after 6 months. \nIt’s getting ridiculous how some people take advantage of owners , laws need to change to protect both tenant and owners. \nSquatters can move into your house and you have to spend money on lawyers to get them out while they live rent free. \nWake up government and pass some laws to give police the right to evict these losers.
