Simple basic reason. Many Indians want to migrate out of India … illegally. They are asking travel tourist visas for transit countries with the aim of going to country of destination. Most of them are aiming for the US.

It’s high time we bring rouge Indian tourists to book , there is no doubt we are the most uncivilized tourists in the world , be it in civil behaviour , littering, getting drunk in the flight and after landing..and mostly undocumented and illegal immigration. You see our compatriots peddling momentos, food delivery, hard labor , and almost any job that locals don’t like to do, the result is we get typecasted as an impoverished , rogue elements ..of their there are many south Asians in west but most of them blend well with local society and maintain decorum. This lady here goes down to the Oxford union debate in the UK and she said that indians globally are flaunting their passport, and now she is telling indians are being rejected by visa due to some bullshit reasons. Being a NRI living in the UK i have noticed a lot of Indians come over on temporary visas and end up staying illegally. And this practice is not just exclusive to the uk, i am sure it happens to many more countries where Indian people go. And also many Indian s to survive overseas will end up doing illegal things to survive. This could be a reason behind the spike in visa rejections

People coming from some of the states in India such as Haryana, Gujrat, Punjab should be banned or scrutinized from traveling abroad, their only purpose to travel is to put refugee in other country and stay in other country illegally. There are many people who don't have proper documentation and also have fake documents, these people affects other genuine people who want to travel. Also the young people who just studied their intermediate or 12th class should also be banned from travel from the above mentioned states to travel abroad for studies. Moreover, People from these states don't know their manners in other country and don't know how to live or stay as per the culture of other country and fail to follow the basic manners and rules. I hate to say it but this is the truth.

Why world's 5th largest economy has so many illegal immigrants in our shores?

There are enough Indians all over Europe, Americas and Australia. Many of them specially in the USA and Canada are illegal in high numbers. In Canada and USA, Indians have ruined their own reputation by getting involved into fraud activities, breaking laws of the host countries by bringing people from India and making them work illegally. So, naturally, the rejection rates are much higher for tourist visa and not for business visas as such. The solution is India should build infrastructure inside the country so that people don't need to rush abroad for a better life. Equality doesn't mean providing access to anyone who can potentially misuse the resource of a country.

There is more illegal immigrant from India to west learn country than western people illegally immigrants in India. That why immigration has more question than when going for visa application because many people don’t return back even after visa is expired. So this give more question for west to give visa or not for Indian visa holder

The problem is fear that Indians will travel to the West and not go back. Not just Indians, but Africans, South Americans and many Asian countries do the same. I've lived in the US for 55 years. There was an Indian music troop that came to the US to perform, maybe 20 people, including singers, musicians, comedians etc. After their tour in the US, half of them did not return to India. They figured they can make a better living in the US and live here as an illegal immigrant. This is too common. The next time when a troop of musicians want a US visa, chances are the immigration office will think twice about approving a visa. I can travel anywhere with a US passport because people know that Americans will return back to the US.

I am a legal immigrant in UK, but I see so many indians who misuse study visa to stay beyond their visa expiry and eventually become illegal immigrants just taking advantage of the system.. this reflects are very bad image.

(many visa seeking Indians are actually not out there to spend but running away to those nations from India, and the visa issuing countries have realised it). lots of illegal Indians currently living and working in all the mentioned countries are the main reason for the downgrade in the visa ranking.

It's not just about the largest economy we need to consider the real fact for visa rejections, one of them is not respecting the visitor visas restrictions i.e. overstating and working without work authorization. I have seen so many Indians selling fruits, flowers and gift items illegally on the streets of Europe and Americas.

Indian govt should guarantee the return of any illegal Indian immigrant from these countries and there won’t be many rejections unless there is a strong reason for rejection.

Maybe as we all Indians know all too well, many of our fellow citizens travel to other countries like in the West & stay they illegally - often working in their black economy. Even if caught, they destroy or hide their passports to conceal their origins & even if proven they are to be Indian, the Indian gov't refuses to take them back without their passport & other I.D documents.

Indians are often very dishonest! We have 1,000,000 Indians here who obtained a visa but then never went back home when their visa expired. They are here illegally and working here illegally. An Indian merchant at a convenience store tried to steal a winning lottery ticket from me a few days ago! Several Indians have gone to prison for stealing lottery tickets from customers including HUGE Multi $Million Dollar WINNERS! \n\nI have had Indian immigrants be rude to me even though I was born in Washington DC and my ancestors have lived here for centuries! \n\nWe are having to actually pass laws here to prevent Indians from discriminating agains their fellow Indians in work and housing due to them being Dalits, or ‘Untouchables’ which proves that Indians coming here have no interest whatsoever in democracy and equality. I've written similar comments elsewhere that were automatically deleted by the person who posted the video, and I found that disheartening. I first want to address the rumour about human feces and dirty diapers being found on Canadian beaches, and I want to stand up for the people who called out Indians for doing this. Somebody saw something. Maybe they weren't able to produce any legal proof of it, but they clearly saw something, and there is nothing racist about them calling out this behaviour. This practice is not only unhygienic. It is ILLEGAL in Canada; so, it absolutely should be called out publicly to prevent it from ever happening again. I have seen many videos about the culture of mass open defection in India. The videos I saw were posted by Indians themselves. One of those videos was a TEDx talk done by a woman named Sangita Vyas who discussed the truth about open defecation and that it is not limited to only the poor population. Even people who can afford to build latrines are not using them, and she explains why after interviewing Indians to ask why. I've watched Indian doctors talk online about how many Indian children die from something as simple as diarrhea every year as a direct result of the water contamination caused by open defecation. So, clearly, open defecation is legal in India, and perhaps some of these people think if it's legal at home then it must also be legal elsewhere. WRONG. It's illegal in Canada. It's unhygienic. It should never happen. Period. And there is NOTHING racist about a Canadian saying this out loud and reminding people that they must follow the rules and laws of the country they are in.

The government needs to investigate the Kentucky region. When the Amazon building was part destroyed by the hurricane all spam messages on the net stopped for a week. Scam phone calls stopped for two weeks. The one with the AI female USA voice then followed by thick Indian voices is just sickening. There could be many Indians who are living in Kentucky who are hiding thousands of illegal Indians and using stolen money to support them. Horrible people they are.

If we, the United States, know how many Indians are crossing the Canadian border into the U.S. side, that must mean WE are letting them in. Why the heck not return them to Canada right there and then? They are surely not being persecuted in Canada, so why allow them in? And the same goes for all the undocumented people crossing over from Mexico. By making it so easy and allowing all illegals into the country, the United States is really at fault for the mess that it is in.
