They knew this was coming and they refused to help the US secure the border. I'm sure if the drugs were flowing into these counties from the US, they would want immediate action on our part. Fentanyl is the #1 cause of death between the ages of 18 to 45 in the US. We are losing over 100,000 US citizens to this drug. Where are allies to help the US?

It's not just all the parties supporting Canada's counter tariffs. The Canadian people are in support, across political, cultural, economic and geographical lines. Canada has not been as unified about anything that I can remember (and I'm old). Plus, Canadians are a stubborn people with a more community oriented attitude than the USA and we don't like bullies. If we have to change brands of food, stop drinking bourbon and American beer, pay a bit more, even pay more taxes to cover the costs for people affected... so be it. BUT... when the tariff's are lifted, don't be so sure we'll just start buying American again. Stubborn also means we don't let things go easily.

I‘m sure there will be other countries that can replace Canada and Mexico imports. It’s an opportunity really. Canada and Mexico just need to stop the fentanyl and illegal immigrants, or are they saying they can’t manage these.

I'm sure the Chinese, and the rest of the world actually would love to start trading more with Canada. I'm pretty sure there is nothing they can't supply that the US currently provides, and what would Trump hate more than a picture of Trudeau shaking hands with Xi.

I watched African migrants daily using La Paz, Mexico as a stopping point on their route to the US border. They were almost exclusively male from 20-35 years old. I'm not sure how they entered Baja but they used the bus system to go north. Mexico now says they won't allow it, but they certainly were for a period of weeks I witnessed.

Language should never be a barrier. The only barrier that we have is hatred and just evil people and good. That is, the barrier that we should be looking at if we ever want to grow into what God created us to be eyes need to be opened. These people aren't coming over here and take what we have. You're coming over here because they want something better for their lives. They have struggled most other lives. I'm sure they have seen death. Famine pestilence, things that we have never seen in this country. Our generation.\n S are spoiled when it comes to things like that. We have to open our eyes a little further broaden. Our horizons and take a look at the situation at hand and not be objective. Be like the men of old and what they were put on this Earth to do is solve problems. My sister is elderly and just getting well from cancer and she can't find or afford a place to live she is staying with people that she doesn't need to be staying with they are drug users and I worry about her. I'm sure if it weren't for the illegals she could find a place to live.

Have never heard of Guatemalan, Brazil, Peru, Marrocan, Ethiopia, Belgium, Costa Rican coffee? Arab countries etc. They all make great coffee. Coffee is not only from Colombia. There’s so various countries producing great coffee .\n\nThey all export coffee to the US. Unless you ONLY like Colombian coffee this shouldn’t be a problem. I’m sure this benefits other countries to expand. Each with distinct flavors and aromas. \n\nStarbucks imports coffee from over 30 different countries from Latin America, Africa, Middle East. \n\nIt’s like if Trump puts a 25% tariff on French wine. I love my French wine and it would suck. Most people love the country they grew up in, no matter what. Our first home always holds a special place, and getting used to other norms is challenging. Both countries offer such diverse opportunities, I'm sure there's a place for everyone depending on your priorities.

I'm all for helping Mexico and Canada so citizens don't need to come to the USA over time but both countries must know that they have to do their diligence to make sure people that are not legally in their countries use that country as a pass through to the USA.
