All these foreign students should simply stop coming to Canada. The entire tertiary education system would collapse. These colleges and university have been gouging these foreign students for years. This at its core has nothing to do with jobs. it is xenophobia. The white Canadian's are seeing too many colored people and it scares them. White kids dont want to work at Tim Hortons for minimum wage. The economy needs these immigrants more than anything. Do you have any idea of the amount of taxes these immigrants pay annually? There's enough blame to go around. You have raised the number of students, their working status, and the employment authorization for students' spouses as a cause for the housing problems in Canada, particularly, it's negative impact on affordability. This is factually true, However, there are two sides to the housing affordability equation, which are the supply/offer on one side, and the demand on the other side . If we need or require the affordability equation to be balanced, we need to deal with both sides of the equation. Furthermore, and regardless of the issue of foreign students, and their spouses, the lack of offordability will not significantly improve, as the supply is the accumulation of many years of deficit, due to bureaucratic, regulatory reasons, and the lacking, or the deficiency in housing policy, at all government levels, and all related taxation, budgeting, financing, and general economic policy adopted , or omitted in dealing with inflation, interest rate manipulation by the Banque of Canada, inadequate competion issues, investment in main street, instead of the Wall of Bay Street, political sanctions, and tariffs, etc..This immigration issue needs to consider the demographic, and labor needs of Canada, while in the same time, or in tandem, prepare for the required housing supply, and other needs, and requirements in term of reviewing the rules and procedures, pertaining to integrating the professional immigrants in their professions instead of excluding them from professional organizations such the medical, and the ingeneering, professions and so on. Many of such professional resources are driving cabs in Toronto, Vancouver,and Montreal. So to blame the housing crises on the immigrants only, will not define completely the housing crisis, and may not help to solve it.

How is the government failing immigrants? Why move to another country if you don't have money to begin with? If your goal when moving to another country is receiving governement checks then you shouldn't be moving countries. If people from Mexico stop coming to work for Canadian farmers during harvest time, no one will want to work for such low wages as they do. When you go to ANY COUNTRY on a visa be prepared to for visa related changes (even if you plan to settle n takeup citizenship). No country is OBLIGATED to give PR/ citizenship to visa holders. The government n citizens have the right to change policies to keep their own intrests in mind.

The caregiver program should go through reform. With the current immigration law with giving the caregivers Permanent Residency putting a lot of pressure on the employers who are working hard and paying taxes to bring the caregivers in Canada. The caregivers are taking advantages by exercising their rights as soon as they lands in Canada. Where is the protection for the employers who are working round the clock to bring the caregivers but the caregivers are abusing the systems and goodwills of the employers. The caregiver program should be like it was before when the caregivers needed to work here for 10 years to get the permanent residency. Otherwise it is becoming difficult for the employers to retain the newly hired caregivers under the new program as the caregivers are getting PR as soon as they lands. Employers need protection. Employers brings caregivers from foreign lands and as soon as they arrive the caregivers can quit and change employer and start exercising their rights as PR - it has to stop to protect the employer because of the employers hard earned money and goodwill they can land here, employers should not suffer for their goodwill and needs.\nWe Canadian employers need workers not the abusers.\nThe caregivers should be brought in temporary work permit and sent back or give PR after 10 years after they contribute to Canada but not award them with PR as soon as they land. These whole Canada thing was a Scam from both sides. Canadian University needed Dollars from foreigners and the foreigners needed Canadian residency. Both sides never focused to develop any skill which can then prepare these students to participate in the development of the Canadian economy. Indeed most of them landed as low pay unskilled labours who then became liability on Canadians rather than any asset. These days you do not need a degree to develop any kind of IT skill. One get develop IT skills online free of cost or at minimal cost. Come back to your country and focus on developing any skill or if not interested in studying then do some business.

Why attracting that amount of worker into Canada while there’s no measures to attract investors immigrants! Where is the money to support all the food, housing, and medical care ? Our infrastructure is not prepared for the expanded population. We have to wait 4 hours in the emergency room but now we have to wait 8 hours! What will happen when all families of these labour that will be coming in the near future? Can the emergency room able to work still?

I have met a lot of Indians both good and bad. When you go to a store or somewhere you have this race of people who won't speak Canadian language, unless it's absolutely necessary. God forbid if you say to them they should speak English ior French in Canada, you are always called racist. When you hear of a murder of drug raid, it's almost always an Indian name. Hell, when you are cut off in traffic, well as you said in ithe beginning they look like you, not me. As I said at the first I have met and made friends with Indians, but it begins to piss you off, when there are so many. Our government has to stop the import of one race and if need be choose a little of all races, and prepare.

I feel bad for those who were duped into coming here to Canada. They had big dreams of becoming successful here, instead not being able to do that and being forced to live in cramped accommodations. I work in healthcare, and a lot of people who work in the facility in which I'm employed were brought here from the Philippines and India, mostly. Some were hired directly by this employer, while others came here some other way. Those with professions like being an RN were under the impression that it wouldn't take that long or be that difficult to get their Canadian certification to work as RNs here. Instead, they found out that the process for that here in Canada is a lot tougher and takes a lot longer than they'd been led to believe. So many are left not being able to use their education to its fullest, instead working as care aides until they can get the proper certification. I know that this has also happened with doctors and engineers and to many in other professions for which they went to school for years. It's a real shame.\n\nThis massive influx of people coming from other countries, though, has been really tough on those of us who were already living here. It's been way too many people, and we just weren't prepared. It's been one of the biggest factors in the huge increase of cost of living and, of course, it's by far the reason we have an enormous housing shortage.\n\nI'm not completely anti-immigration, but I think that it needs to be stopped, at least for a while. Let us deal with what's going on now instead of bringing in more people that would only help to make things worse, through no fault of their own. There's no reason that we need to have more people coming here right now. We have way more than enough people here right now.

Governments are lying to potential immigrants. I work with a guy who said he was told that his qualifications would be recognized when he landed and to not worry about anything. Upon arrival he applied for a job in his field and was told that his qualifications were not recognized. He was then told that he wold have to complete the equivalent of 4 years night school to receive accreditation. He wonders why he came but cant afford relocate back to his original home since it was sold and they used everything to come to a western country. He wasnt prepared for the cost of living and is now stuck in a country even he doesn't want to be in.

I'm certain nobody will agree with me - but why is part of the problem in the west; people get their reality from the MSM - but if I were you I would go back to Russia. The East is the future; the west is heading straight off a cliff. The only way IMO that you can be reasonably safe from that anywhere in the west is if you are completely self sufficient - and debt free - living MILES from other people - or in a likeminded community - where you are prepared to defend yourself from whats coming. I am in such a situation in NZ and even I am ready to bolt; in my case either to a small south pacific island or maybe Thailand - who are joining BRICS and therefore completely isolated from the impending western economic/social disaster. Being in Russia of course means the whole of Asia is easily open to you as well - but makes sense also because you have a history there. It is, in fact, difficult, but what about their social system? Maternity leave, the unemployment money, and all the preparation that they pay? I always tried to speak the language and rarely felt mistreated because of that, and if so, it is mostly by other foreigners ?. I can understand that for living in a country, one needs a nice level of german, trying to adopt their culture and practices.

Safety, democrazy are the reason many leave there is less safety every year and the system is brocken and the news are a doom spire all the time social life barely exists me and my Familie will leave soon when our preparations are complete 28 years in Germany we're enough for me in the 90s it was fine but after the euro it got worse every year

From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck. Rather than commencing my writing career, I have been seeking low-income lawyers, reading the provincial law on Youth Protection, filing complaints within a circular system (the watchdog is part of the system not outside of it) and preparing all evidence to prove I have done nothing wrong [just like in communist rule]. Have you ever given any thought to the difficulties in proving your innocence? \nNO ONESEEMS AWARE OF THIS DETERENT TO BRINGING CHILDREN TO CANADA. NO ONE. IT IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD NOT PLAN FOR. All other complaints like the economy, or the weather, or inflation I have survived. But taking away my child, my reason to settle in Canada for a life of freedom for her, my legacy, was unthinkable. People ask me in this small village where is my daughter. Their rosy cheeks become snow white when I tell them. Canadians here are unaware and scared like cattle in a thunder storm. Many are addicted to welfare payments, cannabis, prescription drugs, and television. They all seem to be waiting in a pen of fear. I am stuck here now, with little financial resource to fight for my child's life. It is unfortunate that no one will read my comment because it is an inscrutable wall of text or too frightening. Unless someone reads it, no help will come for my daughter. (Because she is a dual citizen, the local Polish Ambassador will not step in - another drawback for having a Canadian passport). The problem is not the race is the culture. These people cannot adopt to the Canadian culture, the Canadian values and also they are not financially academically, emotionally, socially prepared to function in the society Canada.

The world is a sinister place and it is preparing for the apocalypse, whether we believe it or not.

Ooh, how the plot thickens. First, the UK ??now Canada ??. Prepare for the worst. The governments have lost their minds, and we are suffering because of their curruption. I pray you learn from us and dont just riot but get to the source of the issue (The elites)

Germany created their own problem in their flawed, points-based model of their government pension system. It is like we are paying backwards, where our money earned right now is taken away from us to pay for the pensions of retired people who earned those rights to a government pension years or decades ago during their working lives. We are then given points, with the hope that the next generations one day pay for our own pensions. See the problem?\n\nInstead, people’s hard earned monthly payments towards pension could have instead have been invested for them into actively-managed portfolios of bonds, equities and commodities. Thereby, each and every person currently on pension could have enjoyed the benefits of decades of compounding growth!\n\nNow we are here, as the video says, 2 workers are needed to cover the pension of 1 retired person. This is absolutely absurd and they will never be able to attract 400,000 new skilled workers every year with the current issues highlighted in this video.\n\nMy best advice - when you are working in Germany, seriously think about it to save and invest a portion of your net income and prepare yourself for a future where you cannot solely rely on your German pension!
