Quite hypocritical, Canada is implementing a 26% Carbon tax increase on all goods come APRIL 1st and Carney thinks thats low. Our government has been doing this to Canadians since April 2019.

As a Brazilian, i don't know why Canadians are still trying tho deal with America. It's clearly not a democratic government. Brazil and Canada has dealt for so long, it's time to increase this. Brazil is part of BRICS countries, but it doesn't mean it's not democrat. Why Canadians keep thinking about EU and EUA? So many things have happened and Brazil is now a strong partner. Canadian here. Wake up Canadians. Many people are praising Trudeau for this speech. Don't. He is out as Liberal leader within the week. He doesn't have to follow through on anything he said. Plus, he just stated that he's smart enough to suggest that Trump just put a 25% tax on Canadian goods for Americans but he also thinks that you are dumb enough not to realize that he just put a 25% tax on Canadians for American goods. Trudeau basically created the situation for these tariffs (open border to let anyone come here). He loves this as he gets to take the apparent moral high ground for the first time in his life and wants this speech to be the way he is remembered rather than years of failing Canada. Forget about the last 9 years and vote Liberal if you are a fool.

Can we have the Canadian President instead of ours? Both Canada and Mexico responds to the requests and demonstrate they are trying to be our allies and for some reason we still proceed into a trade war. I think there's an aspect of the tariffs where it's a tax that's not called a tax, where there will be reductions in taxes for the wealthy and then these tariffs are added taxes for the general population.
