Indians are the largest student community in Canada. Ten years ago, fewer international students were moving to Canada to study. Nowadays, we often see a significant number of international students, which, in my opinion, is not bad. However, last year, the Canadian authorities began investigating the high number of students arriving from India in an uncontrolled manner. It was discovered that many Indian students had submitted falsified documents, such as English test results and GPA scores, to gain admission. As a result, the Canadian government started deporting these students on a massive scale. This situation is affecting India’s reputation, and it is expected that the Canadian government will soon significantly reduce the number of Indian students allowed to enter the country

English requirement test is a joke. I know some guys from India who got 8 bands and don't know a word about English. In India they pay to get IELTS band

I completely disagree with the international student english proficiency requirement to get a PGWP (i.e. for all international students). To get into any University program in Canada, you will need to pass an English Language proficiency test like IELTS or TOEFL anyways. At least for my four years of an Engineering degree, three co-op terms and a full-time secured Engineering position, 8 months before graduation you would think this international student knows how to communicate in English :). \n\nYes, there are certain students who just want to get the PR and don't care about the degree they are getting and probably just passed with the minimum IELTS requirement. A solution would be to make certain degrees like college diploma students take the English Language proficiency test again and at least have a language testing system which is free for these people. Spending $300-$400 after spending so much on international tuition fee to graduate from Bachelor's degree is a good policy in my honest opinion.

The policy matters less, the ausländeramt matters way more. They are the first contact for immigrants but their inefficiency and unfriendly manner scare many off. I’ve been waiting 2 years just for a PR application, I called, phoned, emailed but no answers at all, now my current visa is expiring and I feel hopeless. The simple “Lebens in Deutschland” test takes more than 8 weeks to evaluate which makes no sense. When I lived in Australia, their immigration office offers more than 20 languages and everything’s online and easy to contact, I got my visa within 48 hours. Germany is too lagging behind, if they don’t upgrade the system and attitude, it doesn’t matter what the policy is.

Mexico has a huge meth problem. The poor underfunded clinics dont even have tests for fentanyl. \nSo there is underreporting of fentanyl deaths. \n\nThe allow businesses to import chemicals to make fentanyl and accept bribes from cartles.

All of a sudden we have to be careful of what Mexico’s president has to say? We are the strongest economy and we’ve been put to the test. We can do with or without. Tariffs mean better competition and manufacturing jobs to increase here in the US; more jobs = more money being earned and spent within our economy. A Green Card is for Legal Permanent Residency - revokeable if one commits a crime.\n\nIt can be used to apply for American Citizenship. What people don't understand is that you can't just start a process in any country unless you have and meet the grounds for starting a process. Each process has its own regulations. Example: For asylum to take place, you have to prove you have a well founded fear of persecution from your home country due to your race, religion, or political opinion. Most of the illegals claiming asylum base on economic hardship, or violence from local gangs, will not win an asylum case. Wanting a better life for your family is not considered valid grounds. The same with legal status: You have to first become a resident which means you have to be petitioned by an immediate family member ( A Parent or sibling with a legal status in the US). Depending who petitioned you, it can be a very lengthy process, up to 26 yrs if your sibling submitted the application! Process is much faster for spouses and kids of US Citizens. Only after several years as a legal resident can you apply for Citizenship. Spouses married to US Citizens is 3 yrs, IF you know english. If you don't you might have to wait till you are 65, when you qualify for the test to be in your native language, but only if you have been a resident more than 20 yrs and so forth. As you can see doing it legally, is a lengthy process, but all these caravans think they can just march in and let the countries accept them without going thru the process and it has caused major problems all the way around. That's why the laws must be enforced to eliminate these invasions!

Learn english and pass your citizenship test.

I'm a Japanese person living in Canada. In Japan, any hospital gives treatment quickly, and advanced tests can be done on the same day without a reservation. Prices and rent are cheap, and I can live alone for only 300 Canadian dollars. However, because illegal residents have increased a lot, safety is worse than in Canada. Women are often raped by foreigners, but because Japan is a male-dominated country, most perpetrators are acquitted. A foreigner who raped a 7-year-old child was also acquitted. She did the same thing as they. Stood in line. Did she wire an attorney like many folks, did she have to pay hundreds/thousands of dollars from this form or that form medical test. Did she have to go to an interview not sure if you would be allowed to stay.. she’s just like them..

I think there should be ethics and manner test in the immigration system before they land. People from third world country have no manners and ethics in general.

Thanks for sharing, I believe the immigration system here before granting visas should test every newcomer’s understanding of rules and Canadian culture along with all existing requirements. And the consequences for breaking some of the basic rules must be severe so that no one breaks them in first place. And we certainly need the quotas, Canada does not have the infrastructure to host a billion people.

In Australia. Australia is not too far behind. Housing crisis.. extremely expensive. In Sydney we can’t afford even a studio. 5 ppl Sharing a house. Pay for every food delivery anywhere between 2 to 5 AUD. Any dish you order is minimum 18 AUD so a dinner for 2 is at least 40 AUD even at places like McDonald’s. Groceries are monopolised and they charge very high.. even 3 days of groceries will cost you between 50 to 80. And forget healthcare. It’s so expensive that we pray we don’t fall sick. The doctors too don’t give you real advise. Just prescribe tests blindly without analysing ur symptoms. In India if you find a good doctor, they will save u from getting too many tests. Ppl are depressed and are suffering from many mental illnesses. No sense of community. The only reason why we are here is to save up as much as we can. We are struggling, living in shared apartments in a small room.. we came here with a job without any money spent from our end and the only Reason it works is cz we are saving up for India and when we send money to family it’s cheaper due to currency exchange. We cannot afford the same lifestyle as India with our whole family here.

I'm leaving for the DR Congo in six months (March 2025). I will be there for two to three weeks (depending on the job) and home situation. To be honest, I need to make some changes in my life, but this is one way for me to see what options are out there beyond Canada. My trip to Africa will be the first litmus test.

Had I never been in a car accident in about 20 years I've been driving in Canada, until one Indian young girl exited recklessly a shopping plaza and hit me head on while I was driving along towards a highway. I was lucky my passenger and myself came through the crash unscathed, however my car was deemed total loss. I wonder...How did she manage to pass her road test with such poor driving skills?

You are not victims of fraud stop lying most of you completed fraud by not even passing the English test in your own country because you can’t speak English properly. They came here on pretence most of them didn’t even pass the English test they cheated and scammed to get here. I gave an easy solution just ask all students and worker to submit an updated ieltr test with 7 bands to extend their visas or apply for post graduate work permit , ielts should be obtained from within canada to apply for extension. I am sure a large group will be able to obtain . Also canada would earn some revenue as well, and those able to receive 7 bands verify it and conduct interveiw and request tax to know how many hrs they work and study and this would show their intention if they are a genuine students. Or settle them in far cities and balance all communities so those in large numbers cannot dominate those in less numbers.

The immigration file has been completely botched and mishandled by an inept and very stupid government. Mass immigration without a plan for increased housing, medical staff, infrastructure help, or even increased staff at immigration centres, etc. is madness, and chaos has ensued. I studied in India for several years, and was careful to respect Indian culture vis a vis dress codes, learning Hindi, and behaviour. It is only normal courtesy to do so. It becomes more difficult when numbers increase drastically over a v. short period of time since people coming here are not widely exposed to Canadian culture. This completely inept and corrupt government needs to go: like yesterday. I think of myself as anti-racist, but when I go for a medical test and see that 95% of patients appear to be of middle-eastern origin, while I haven't been able to find a family doctor for 10 years, I do get a little irritated. And I'm a boomer; younger people in Canada are competing for education, jobs, housing, as well as medical care, so I can understand people becoming angry. I think that currently this backlash is against the government, not immigrants, and not one community in particular. I am cynical enough to think that this government went for mass immigration because they have no economic plan for prosperity, and bringing in several millions would raise GDP. But percapita GNP has been falling for 8 quarters, so we are definitely in a recession. I think Trudeau did this so his economic incompetence would not be obvious. Anyway, that's my appeal: we should be upset at a government that caused this chaos, not at individual immigrants nor a specific community.

Please do not let anyone on a study visa with an IELTS score below 7 in each of the sections, also test the students at the border on behavior and other Psychology related issues. This will ensure proper candidates are allowed, who know English and can speak it comfortably. Also train the existing students on skills required to contribute to Canadian labor market that too free of cost, this is due to lack of proper course curriculum required for the labor needs of Canada and practical training availability. Immigration is not just a money making machine, there has to be a vision and proper planning before brining in millions of immigrants who will eventually settle here, but their productivity and integration should bring long term benefits to the economy as is expected from a great nation like Canada.

I look at faces in cars and all I notice are an abundance of East Indian, here in Halifax, do the test yourself, seams like every second vehicle, Go to Mall, go to the Park all I’m seeing is East Indian, these people are not compatible with the natural born Canadians. I. Spent the last thirty years in Vancouver (Priced OUT) This summer we have had a surge in Chinese Immigrants and the East Indians. What are the numbers ? Inappropriate action to allow this surge in this University City, Student will struggle finding accommodation. The established home owner won’t even notice but renter’s will, take a drive on moving day. There are 6 unrelated East Indian adults in a two bedroom unit, across the hall from my two bedroom.
