These are the major problems in Canada that are greatly amplified and visible in the bigger metro areas:\n\n- Loss of economic opportunity due to the disastrous Liberal government policies of Justin Trudeau, with all the known bad social consequences.\n\n- Out of control immigration. Impossible for a country to absorb that many immigrants in a short period of time to make them productive and pay into the system.\n\n-Rampant and oppressive woke culture. If you disagree with it, you’re labeled anything from racist to transphobic. \n\n-Permissive liberal policies with drug abuse and mental illnesses.\n\n-Spineless Conservative politicians. This is changing, but boy is it taking long.\n\n-Canadian complacency and self-imposed politeness. The worst traits we have as a country. We basically don’t react to bad situations until the shit hits the fan.\n\nI’m hopeful for this country, but we still need to fall further down to do the changes we need to do.

Born and raised Catholic Canadian and I would move to a country that was more aligned with my faith if I could, though that is hard to find! I will stay and enjoy the small community that we have built with my fellow Parishioners. \nI am sorry to hear you feel you aren’t safe here or your children. Well, as a person who grew up in a Muslim community, I respect your view but I disagree with Azan being loudly heard. I just hate it. It is like a noise interrupting in the daily life. I believe there are apps that play it and you can use them. As for Palestine, sure Canada is on the wrong side but the UAE is the same, they recently normalized the relations, Saudi Arabia said just two days ago they are willing to do so, and most European countries are similar. The US is even worse. How many good options do you have?!

I def. think you should leave . if you don't feel the values align with your family then you should leave. No country is perfect and Canada is not either, but when compared, it's doing pretty well. If everybody would change country because they disagree with the government on some points, everybody would leave their country. Wherever you live, you have to embrace the way of life of this country. If I lived in Morocco, I wouldn't heve the idea to criticize the call for prayer 5 times a day. The same way you can not expect to have it here because this country is still mainly catholic and protestant. I wish you find you perfect place in the world.

I can understand why people want to leave or not come to Canada, weather, cold weather can last up to six months and the summer isn’t always that great. Another reason, taxes…. Canadians are taxed to death here, you are taxed on everything here and if you make good money and aren’t paying enough taxes, you could pay a good chunk come tax time. Job market sucks, there are lots of jobs but these jobs don’t pay the greatest. Cost of living has skyrocketed over the years and in my personal opinion, since Justin Trudeau has been PM, everything has doubled in cost, so many people are struggling, many young couples can’t afford a house, rent has been on the rise over the years and so many people rely on the food banks, the highest it’s ever been in Canadian history, crime has gone up and drug use has also gone up and oddly enough, ever since Trudeau has been in charge and I’m sure some will disagree with this but Canada was never like this before Trudeau.

I am a Christian in America so for your last issue I’m opposite from you politically because I believe that my God promised his people (the Jews) that land. Couldn't agree more. I'm a Christian living in the Bible-belt and earlier this year we were at our local farmer's market and there was a drag-queen story hour. It's not hateful to disagree with others but so much is being thrown into our children's faces and heart. How can one disagree. People of the land deserve respect and peace. If there is a problem and peace is not to be achieved by two parties there should be a court of appeal in which a resolution should be arrived at and guaranteed by the world.

Quite sobering information. I disagree on only one point: you made it sound as though Indonesia has a much higher crime rate than Canada. Perhaps petty crime (passing motorcyclists snatching cell phones, for example) is definitely much higher in Indonesia, but for violent crimes I'd wager a big city like Jakarta is as safe or safer at night than Toronto.

My home in Hong ‘Kong @ 500 sq feet costs the same as a townhouse in Stouffville Ont. that’s probably 1;500;sq ft not including basement; garage & front lawn. How’s that world’s worst housing crisis. Isn’t San Francisco much worse?. 2. Rich people who own housing or properties need to pay capital gain taxes or other taxes if vacant. I`ve moved to Canada long time ago. Well I disagree with about 60% of what you said. Canada is not what you described it... It is a great place to live, we are people of frontier.

But all this crap began to escalate since 2007 when smartphones became a thing, and then shifted into a speedrun around 2014 when all this woke social media activism bullshit came along. People stuck in their goddamn phones lost all social ques and etiquette and became more mentally ill. I'm Canadian, and so very glad that I was born here. Canada has an excellent health care system, top notch education cirrulum; when I watch the American news I shudder - with the current political climate and gun violence I am so glad to be Canadian. You could not pay me enough to even consider moving to the US. I disagree with your statement that you could raise children in America, children should not have to wear a flack jacket or Kevlar when going to school - especially considering the poor education system in the US. Which is painfully evident in some of US Congress people and Republican politicians.
