I hate Quebec. I felt very unaccepted by the people who live there. I would go into restaurants and gas stations and when I didn't speak French the workers would speak very aggressive and disrespectful. I try to avoid Quebec whenever possible. Not to mention the drivers are terrible. Overall I would probably move to Alberta, since Ontario house prices are high.

Born and raised francophone from Québec, that has seen ALL of Canada and I love it ALL. Every province and territories are amazing. Also lived in Ontario, Alberta and BC.

Quebec is #1 because of all the handouts from the rest of the country. Alberta has paid for Quebec as long as I can remember and all they do is shit on the west. I was born in Montreal and the whole place is toxic as fuck unless you are French first and English second. They take your money and spit in your face at the same time. Nova Scotia, the best fishes are there. Alberta definitely have what's best for lungs.\nlol very cheap rent in Montreal, of course if you like black mushroom, mold and wall made from paper. Yes it's cheaper but you get what you pay for. I lived in 4 provinces each one have good and bad points (as stated in the vid) the choice have to made carefully because the chances to be stuck for years into something you don't like is very high. In fact the 3 main points to look for are: Water, trees and rocks, choose what you like the most and make the most of it. About industries and technologies, Canada is so far behind the G7 that it doesn't worth the shot to aim for it.

Yeah fuck this list, putting backwards Alberta and Quebec at the top while putting Manitoba at the bottom. Gee why the fuck does Winnipeg alone out populate most of the entire province's ranked above it? You'd think of it's such a terrible place to live nobody would be stay. But it's actually I've of the most progressive and diverse places in Canada where as the video admits you can actually find a job too. Fuck this shit, while jobless Atlantic Canada gets an the credit Manitoba actually has the jobs and culture for real and is just coolest, but wait we have plenty of energy and construction to deal with that problem. Manitoba is still one of the greatest places in the world to live and this list fucking bellies that fact.

What was the point of this…\nBOOK?\n\nMy favourite provinces (not ranking) are Ontario, Alberta, BC, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. \n\nOntario for the history, the world records, *(longest street on earth at least at one point, tallest tower in North America, Toronto most multicultural city, etc.)* and the terrain/coolness of Ontario- the big cities, surprisingly safe, the good weather some places, the icy terrain near Hudson Bay, and pretty nice forests.\n\nAlberta for the coolness aswell, the big cities Calgary and Edmonton are pretty great, and the mountains are awesome, the oil is useful, the lakes are great- and yeah the great, safe place to live overall.\n\nBC for the amazing mountains too, the islands, Vancouver is SO amazing just seeing a picture of it, its unique that a big city is spread across so many islands, and the pacific- \n? oh I do like to be beside the sea side ? \nAnd BC has great forests like Ontario. Just- take in mind that it’s the only province with grizzly bears. (Alberta might idk)\n\nQuebec for the history, (all the history is in Quebec City)\nAnd the great terrain, it looks amazing- they have a lot of Great Lakes (wait Ontario has more, in fact all of those) and even just it’s one big city, Montreal. As an Canadian I NEEEEEED TO SAY that one of Alberta's biggest problems, and a reason you may not want to live there, was not mentioned in this video. ALBERTA HAS A HUGE PROBLEM with racism, and sexism really. I'm not the one to speak on its nuances, but I can tell you based on my 6 month stay there, its not somewhere I want to live. I'm not even a person of colour, just female and it was horrid. I can't imagine being indigenous and female. I'm sorry for the people and especially women who would like to live in a different environment and can't seem to get out. Hope you find your rainbow.

Interesting and entertaining to see this from an outsider’s perspective. I’ve been to every province, and they all have a lot to offer, but you barely touched on one vital metric: Interprovincial Migration. Of course there are always people moving from one province to another for work, marriage, etc.; for example, lots of people move to Alberta to work, when it’s booming, but one province consistently enjoys the highest Net interprovincial immigration rate: British Columbia. That’s a pretty strong indicator that B.C. is where Canadians most Want to live; which, of course, is exactly why our property values are so insanely high!

If BC is so bad (under Alberta, QUEBEC and Ontario). And the only reason given was expensive housing. Why do so many people retire there and THEN somehow find the money to buy? Housing is expensive because so many people want to live there. Come on, that puts it a #1 if you stop for half a second to think about it.

But it’s way too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Most of my family has moved out to the West Coast. Moving from BC to Alberta in the pursuit of home ownership. I currently live on Vancouver Island, where the avg price of a single family detached home is about $700,000USD. Home ownership had become a real luxury for the millennial middle class, its simply not affordable, Vancouver is worst with an avg price now I think of 1mil USD.\n\nThe house market is going to implode in BC. Keep an eye on it ?. Its coming, thats why I'm running away lol.

Ranking Quebec above PEI is a crime. This is coming from an Ontarian who has travelled to the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic on a motorcycle. I have seen nearly all of Canada. Yukon, BC, Alberta, Sask, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and PEI. Trust me there are many provinces that are better than Quebec. \n\nI have been all over BC and I must say BC is the most aesthetic province. When I was travelling and camping there it made me question why people willingly live in places like Toronto... you are spending the same $$$ for rent or mortgage except in BC you get the view of the Rockies.

Quebec has become number 1 at the expense of other provinces. they have received more money than all other provinces combined to pay for there lifestyle. The western provinces and Ontario have given absolutely massive amounts of money to them while at the same time lowing there own standard of living. If Quebec gave Alberta back about 170 billion dollars they look from them I dare say Alberta would take over top spot and Quebecs rise in taxes would make it unlivable

Alberta is the best. Lived in Ontario for 5 years. Last year I moved to Alberta. Since that everything is going well. More savings, quality of life, more family time and less traffic.

I live in Alberta but have also lived in Ontario and Nova Scotia.....and this list doesn't surprise me.... Quebec is the best province because they whine the most and control the government so they have unbelievably amazing social programs that they pay for using other provinces' equalization payments and then thumb their noses at everyone else.....if money was no object I would 100% move to BC....but for most people, I still think AB is the best

Love my country and all provinces are great as compared to the world outside of Canada ??. The rankings are not an exact science but the info given is fairly accurate. Having Alberta ranked ahead of BC is the only issue I would have. Alberta’s complete shit show dealing with COVID and other social issues would leave it way behind BC in terms of what average Canadians opinion of each province would be. I have lived in Ontario, BC, and am thankful to be Canadian !

Sorry, but you couldn’t pay me enough to live in Alberta. While the mountains bordering the west are great, it’s basically the Texas of Canada, which means the least tolerant and most unwilling to change. Plus, Calgary is possibly the most soulless and empty major city I’ve been to in Canada, while Edmonton is just too damn cold.

Alberta is home for me. The cost of living here is very affordable and taxes are lower than other provinces.

You were doing so well until you got to Quebec. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Quebec and I can barely speak enough French to get a hotel room and a meal, but in major cities like Montreal and Quebec City plenty of people in the service industry speak better English than most of us do. The one problem is.....TAXES. Unless you are looking for socialist utopia where daycare is cheap you are likely to find them kinda oppressive. I grew up in Northner Ontario, worked in BC, Quebec, NB, Ontario and Alberta and have visited the rest of the provinces and NWT. Yukon and Nunavut still to go on my bucket list..... Personally, I love the people of Newfoundland the best, the scenery of BC the best and the taxes of Alberta the most. I could be happy living anywhere here now that I am retired but I have settled in New Brunswick for the cost of living. Plane tickets are cheap if I feel the need for a change of scenery.

I have been to every province and territory in Canada country, are trying to paint a untruthful picture of Canada (yes I am Canadian). Halifax is hole that needs to be filled in, people are very unfriendly, high cost for everything. Vancouver is full of drug addicts and whores, terrible traffic, terribly high cost of living, rains a lot a. Vancouver is like California in the US, people go to make money and then get the hell out. Ottawa is nicer than Toronto, just a lot of over paid federal employees. Alberta should be number one. Quebec is a long ways from number one that is for sure, often Quebecers are the rudest people in North America, I know that for sure....... .

Interesting and objectively reasonable list. Surprised to see the Maritime provinces listed so low and Alberta rated so high. I grew up in Alberta and my heart is there, but the conservative politics is killing the province - as is Covid. The education and healthcare systems are suffering the most. I live in Vancouver - other than the astronomical cost of living here, we have a horrible amount of urban poverty and gang violence. Downtown has been overrun by the homeless the mentally I’ll and junkies. Like anywhere - it’s great if you have the money.

Learn French in order to live in Quebec. Sorry, it's not worth it. I'll stay in Alberta, which pays for Quebec. ;~)

Having a military spouse we have moved many times across Canada. I was born in the province of Québec and have live in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. I agree with Québec rating, British Columbia should be higher Vancouver Island is amazing and Alberta should be lower. Yes! Prices of house are cheaper , health care is good except during the pandemic but too reliant on oil prices. Their also not much sense of community in Alberta.

I am a British Columbian who briefly lived in Quebec, when the army posted me there for basic, I have to say Quebec is horrible, outside of Montreal, if you do not speak French. I also spent 5 years in Alberta & I would rank Alberta as number ☝️ of all of Canada’s provinces. \n\nThat all being said, I am sick of this country’s politics. I deeply regret serving this country due to how badly our current PM has treated us veterans, only PM to ever sue veterans & make massive cuts to veterans support funding. Furthermore, he is most corrupt in our history, & easily the least democratic or respectful to our laws and/or constitution… yet he has been re-elected TWICE!… because… reasons ??‍♂️ I do not know how dumb you have to be to vote liberal given Trudeau’s horrible track record on a laundry list of issues. I am personally done with this country, you stab veterans in the back & reward those who did the backstabbing… yeah, I’m out, bye. No one should be bothered with serving Canada, not worth it!!!

I will be leaving Canada within a year or so after declaring non-residency and bring my business with me. My view is that Canada is a good place to live a normal life. Healthcare covers your peace of mind, even if the waitlist is long and bureaucratic. Social benefit is not as generous as people suggest sometimes (at least in Canada unless you're on actual welfare where you can't work but you can't rise your way up easily and you're forever stuck in 1.5k CAD/month... which would be ofc much better than other struggling countries but immigrants often aspire for greater things than that. \n\nEven though I was an Asian immigrant, I never faced significant racism afaik (I could be socially naive however), but there are definitely limitations of opportunities. It's not too difficult to find entry to intermediate jobs, at least for me but that's probably because I did schooling here in Canada. And I was able to network aggressively and learned to be an extrovert, so that also helped. But still, Canadian living cost is high (and I'm saying this from Calgary... imagine what it's like in Vancouver/Toronto). Is it doable? Ofc. 50-70k CAD/year is quite doable ESPECIALLY in Calgary, Alberta. But it'd be difficult to achieve financial independence and true wealth. This is true everywhere ofc but more so in Canada compared to, say, USA where living cost is lower and wage is higher with more opportunities. It's a great place to live normally. If you wanna become exceptional (wealth, customized goods and services, etc), it become harder and costs more. \n\nEven now when I now own business after struggling to get here over 10 years that generates income that I need to achieve financial freedom, tax becomes frightfully bad. Alberta (that imposes lowest tax rate compared to other Canadian provinces (not including territories for obvious reason) is comparable to California in USA that is among the highest in all US states. And let's be real; Alberta is nowhere close of being California. Imagine the taxes in BC/Ontario shiver. \n\nOnce my tax rate becomes high enough to justify moving, I will pull the trigger. Still window-shopping where I wanna go and I have some lists but it's gonna happen especially as Canada will have to deal with their struggling economy, further distancing from US and their government mismanagement that continues to cost the society. I will not have any part in it. I may come back once in a while for visit or potentially retire depending on what the future looks like but right now, I just don't see my longterm future here.

It all depends what condition you are living in Pakistan. I like this Ashir but he has strong grudges against pakistan and has strong biased opinion. I came to canada in 2009 with family. I can tell you that those days were a little different less racism and pretty much no islamophobia now there is even if you admit it or not. If your daughter or wife does cover her head they can be in trouble out alone. Economy in atleast alberta and other provinces too is on decline. If you want to make good money medical fields are good like pharmacy nursing related rest is bad. My wife was a doctor in Pakistan cleared all her papers but didnt get any residency as of yet.

Um... (1) Living in Alberta, I pay overall less tax than someone in my tax bracket living in California. We don't all have high taxes. (2) Montréal is allo-lingual, and probably 80% able to speak English in its core. Quebec City is primarily French. (4) We have publically funded, not free, healthcare, and regulated pharmacare, private eye and dental care (5) you typically tip anyone who provides you a personal service - you should include valets, housekeeping, consierge services, porters and anyone who provides exceptional service. Get out of Vancouver, Canada is big.

Well atleast I did my luck in an honest way rather than doing it the wrong way. I'd rather live a hard life here in the Philippines than living the Canadian dream illegally. This upsets me a great deal! My father was a vet, who served , And Trudeau says no money is avaiable, My dad he died ok, and you can give money to a refugee,and shaft my mother who is a widow. Shame on you ! Its true that the refugeess ,get a house,a car , etc, and yet low income Canadians who are on a waitlist get shafted for the low income housing.. We have homeless folks who suffer from Mental illness are seniors on the streets in Calgary alberta,and are waiting for a place to live . In regards to jobs , Canadian employers will hire the refugee over a Canadian because he or she will play the RACE CARD. . CBC wake up! This is the reality of what is happening !..
