As an American, I hate this administration and I feared this all coming. I don’t want to be here, and I fought and voted against this in every way I could. After this horrendous week, the only solution I can see moving forward is to leave the country I once considered home.\n\nThank you for speaking the truth. The majority of the American people don’t want this, and the few who think they do aren’t understanding the reality of what’s happening.

All of this was avoidable. We could have had a reasonable leader use logic and good sense to move our country forward. But no, just enough Americans willingly voted for vengeance, or chaos, or a combination of both. Another group felt it was too damn difficult to do their own research before they cast their vote. And now, everyone will suffer greatly for the mad king's folly.

Canadian here- I hate Trudeau just as much as most Canadians, and as it seems most Republican Americans do as well. But I fully stand behind him at this hour. He might have shit the bed for most Canadians during his time as PM, but when it mattered he has stood up for Canada. Review the facts and educate yourself on the current situation between CAN and the US. I will be the first to admit, Canada has not done enough in terms of its own security and military, but these failures should not be the decay in our friendship as nations. The US DOES NOT subsidize Canada, it DOES NOT give money to Canada. In simple terms- the larger country, with the largest economy in the world (USA) buys more from its Northern brother, which produces vast amounts of natural resources which the larger southern country requires. As for the booing seen at most recent sports events in Canada, that is directed at the President, not the average American. I myself would never boo a national anthem, an anthem that millions have sacrificed to protect and defend. But I understand the pain and anger that is coming from my country. We have always been allies, friends, and to most even family. I do hope that in the future our relationship can heal and move forward but the current actions being taken by the American admistration are horrendus and upsetting to most of the world outside of the US. It's a common mantra for Canadian citizens and politicians to 'tax the rich' by closing loopholes and more recently reducing capital gains exemptions within corporations. As popular as that may be, it stifles innovation and corporate development within our country, especially while our neighbor to the south has a more business friendly tax system. Good luck boosting GDP when corporations and innovative entrepreneurs are lured southward. Even our hockey players move south.

If my country doesn't get housing costs under control they're in serious trouble. The average house in the town I live in is something like 900K and there's basically no local economy. With costs so high I can't afford to start a family. If we keep gaining old folks needing healthcare while keeping housing expenses high and wages low taxes will have to keep going up.\n\nI am not going to continue to pay huge portions of my income for the benefit of the elderly while I can't afford a decent lifestyle. I don't want to but it seems moving to the US or elsewhere is the only option if things continue this way. At list point the local governments are so invested in denying housing permits and abusing zoning laws to prevent housing being built that the only way to fix it would be to strip the provinces and cities of the right to decide their own zoning bylaws. \n\nI want to see a change in the constitution that makes zoning bylaws illegal. There are too many people thinking of their self interest and not of the Nations interest. We deserve to lose the right to decide what can be built in our neighborhoods. As someone living in Canada... I actually don't feel much of the things mentioned in the video. Sure, wages are not growing as fast as it can, but as someone who managed to purchase a home *before* the bubble started to expand, I'm living steady right now.\n\nWhat is REALLY causing a large part of the social and economic issues is actually the fact that provinces are NOT expanding new towns and cities in the millions of kilometers that needs to grow. Everyone is moving into cities, including refugees and new immigrants, which is driving up local prices and demand for everything. A few years ago, there were literally news of townships outside of the major cities offering houses and land for $50 per acre if people move to those towns and live there. \n\nCanada's biggest (heh) advantage is how much land it has. It's biggest weakness is how little comparative population it has. The worst problem is the concentration of population in like 6 keys cities throughout the entire country. If more people who complain about housing or social issues were willing to move outside of the major cities, they wouldn't have those problems.

My Mother was Hungarian and she applied for citizenship with my Dad’s help because he had served in WW2 , and he was an American citizen.\nThey did everything the legal way. Mom took classes. I live in nyc getting on the bus and subway is horrible seeing these illegal people dress better than working people sending thier money back to thier countries they get more help than those who live here I worked in a homeless shelter caught a horrible parasite infection which I'm still fighting I can't work welfare refused to help me with rent electric they denied me immediate help gave me 71 dollars every 2 weeks in cash and 290 in foodstamps I can't pay electric with that let alone rent phone internet other bills etc meanwhile these people get iPhones new sneakers clothes thousands in cash upon arriving thousands in foodstamps health insurance etc free rent free everything but I can't get help I had a broken ankle they wouldn't even move to let elderly or disabled sit on busses and subway they disrespect the rules workers people in stores I witnessed for myself
