I was born in B.C. but moved to Ontario when I was a young child. I always wanted to go back, so finally I did in retirement, settling in Kelowna, in the Okanagan. It was paradise and I loved it there. However, my husband had to move into a nursing home this year, and I was forced to sell our house, deciding to move to Calgary, Alberta. So far I like Calgary a lot. I'm used to the snow, coming from Ontario, but I miss Kelowna like crazy. At least my husband is still there, and it's only a short flight for me to go and visit him.

The liberals have been granting student visas for years, literally unchecked in both numbers and who they were given to. The schools merely took in however many the liberals let in. Hundreds of thousands of them. Had trudeau set a reasonable cap to begin with, then the schools would only be accepting that capped number. The more trudeau let in, the more the schools took on. This wasnt the fault of the schools. This is an absolute direct result of the liberal government completely screwing up the immigration system. \n\nNot only did trudeau let in far too many students which blew up school enrolment, but it messed up the entire employment system, healthcare system and housing market. Not to mention that it drained the foodbanks and students were using them as their grocery store. Now we have hundreds of thousands of international students demanding trudeau support them, give them housing, jobs and citizenship. To say trudeau completely wrecked immigration doesnt even come close to what has resulted. The entire country is now reeling from this, and it will take decades to resolve the consequences. \n\nTrudeau is despicable. If Trump is serious, he'll crash the economy. Deporting useful people is a HUGE drain on the economy. We'll have to work overtime just to maintain the SAME quality of life. I feel like much of yall dont know why illegal immigration is in such an state in the first place, currently, there are no legal paths for immigration, only if youre work-sponsored, or you have a family member, so of course people are gonna cross illegally, the human trafficking market is billions of dollars deep, for every hole they cover, a new one is gonna be created, is something they already said.\n\nthese are people in very deep economical situations willing to sell their homes and abandon everything they have to cross to a highly dangerous path through deserts and mountains, at the very high risk of dying and getting assaulted by the gang members they use, an people think its just because they cant wait in a line? and this is not a rare sentiment too, 70% of people think that there should be a legal path to immigration, but unless thats solved, immigrants are gonna keep coming. I saw it with my own eyes in 2019. I was locked up in Colorado. I watched them raid construction sites hospitals. Numerous other businesses arresting hard work in Mexican people. Imagine all the nurses and workers at hospitals that are from other countries. I watched them arresting nurses. Arresting tab drivers Uber drivers. I watched them raid schools and arrest children. I watched them put these poor people in jails with real criminals. All the immigrants loved me. I was actually in a federal and ICE facility. So I literally saw all of the immigrants. I protected them from the racist white people. I'm from Tampa Florida, so I'm used to the jails and prisons being majority, black guys. But in Colorado, it's white supremace, gangs and Mexican gangs. What's even more sickening? Is people from Washington would come in and take some of the Indians out. And when they came back, I would ask them questions and they said that the government people would get information on their family back in India and see if they could pay 50k to stay in America. It was sickening. I found out that what they were doing was deporting. Poor people and the people that have money back in their country. They have their families send money and let them stay. I saw it with my own eyes.

I am a double hater cant stand Trump and I am a farmer, i dont use immigrants because i just grow crops that can be mechanically harvested and I have a small farm, But in the past I used to manage large farms where we had a lot of immigrants most were illegal and people don't understand why they're illegal It's because there is an arbitrary cap on how many migrants can come from Guatemala and Mexico if they wanted to come legally just a normal worker They have a 60-year waiting list so it's just impossible to come here legally. Most of these people are very hardworking good people that come here to work for 5 to 7 years save up money and then go back to Mexico or Guatemala build a house and start a business in their own country. \n\nThis year i begrudgingly voted for trump because for me the biggest issue is with the federal and state regulations that make farming much harder than it needs to be especially regulations on diesel engine emissions that cost me tens of thousands of dollars a year and many months of not being able to use my equipment that I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on. How many part-time jobs do they expect these people to work to pay for rent? Finding a full-time job is almost impossible. Coming to Canada exspecting the country to look after them? The companies take hours away from their employees and create another part-time position, then gets a bonus from the government as part of the new employee wages are paid.
