I wonder what the first people of this land think about this hypocrisy?

What’s baffling to me is the United Nations development program hired my dad to train local people in turkey and Bahrain for welding. To stop foreign workers from coming into their countries and taking jobs away from local people. I wonder if the United Nations should hired my dad in Canada to train Canadians so that foreign workers can’t come in a take jobs away from Canadians. I guess our governments aren’t smart enough to contact the United Nations For help in resolving that problem.

Its like an apocalypse here. No joke. No jobs , how people even survive here makes me wonder.

Then some people wonder why did they get punched in the face ?

you wouldn't need foreign workers if they tightened up the EI program-----many people in atlantic canada and quebec only work for 14 to 16 weeks and get a layoff------they don't even try to get another job-----most crab fishermen only fish for a couple of weeks and then become eligible for benefits-----and then they wonder why you can't find workers for shops or restaurants

7 million more people in this country. No wonder my 3 person family cannot find doctors. My husband is 65 and I’m 60. We need healthcare.

So why don’t all the people of this wonderful country boycott Tim Hortons and shut it down just imagine no I need to go through the drive-through. It’s such a good routine and we could keep these wonderful people working in our country. Wake up people boycott Tim Hortons and they’ll all go home.

Hardest part is this was all a highly predictable outcome…I remember clearly those warning what the trajectory we were on would lead to all of what is going on now…these warnings were back in the 90s early 2000s and all those people were dismissed for various reasons and called old world thinkers and intolerant and so on…It makes me wonder if democracies can exist or continue…the average person isn’t socially savvy enough or educated on civics and will fall for leaders promising free stuff and you-topia visions.

I came to Germany 7 years ago , speak German fluently and am on the verge of getting the citizenship but I will leave the country soon , why?\n1- extremely ineffective bureaucracy\n2-high taxes ( like you are being punished for not having a kid and earning more money, how dare you?)\n3- low acceptance for innovation and technology ( I swear I had to use and am still using a Fax Machine!! at work, I thought Fax was something that disappeared when I was a kid but it apparently just moved to Germany )\n4- bad weather\n5- even with a C2 Certificate, Germans are not the most friendliest people around ( like some other central and north european countries ) , you immediately feel the difference in attitude when you go to Spain, Italy or more friendly countries\n6- hypocrisy when it comes to immigration policies... like they want the most skilled workers but they dont want to pay them a good salary and even from that salary half is gone without you seeing it. and yet they still seem to wonder where the problem is.... my friend, Money, make them earn more at the end of the month(AFTER tax) and they will stay, yet they do every other measure apart from this :)))

Every one of you that are criticizing immigrants needs to sit back and zip your lip!! Have you sat back and wondered why immigrants are flocking into your countries (?? ????)? Your political leaders or governments started wars or economic policies that negatively impacted those countries which triggered a huge migration! 10-15 years ago, there was less migration as compared to now. Wars disrupt everything and rob people of their dignity! \n\nIf you people did not start wars in various countries lot of people wouldn't take those dangerous journies to come and sleep in shelters! Now all these criminals that are fighting age males that come here illegally to break laws. Their Lives should not be protected by our laws If they come on to my property or break into my car to steal or tresspass. They choose to come illegally and choose to break laws. Citizens should at least know if we have the right to defend ourselves we won't end up in prison defending our families and peoperty. No wonder why so many people are moving to Texas.

I agree, if you don't like it here, you should leave. However, the challenges we face in Canada are not unique to our country. It's easy to believe the grass is greener elsewhere, but I'm willing to accept both the good and the bad, and I haven't lost hope that we can fix Canada from within. Of course, this requires believing that change is possible and being willing to contribute in any way you can. Frankly, I find your attitude defeatist. You're happy to enjoy the good times, but as soon as things get rough, you're ready to leave. It makes me wonder if our current situation isn't partly due to people's unwillingness to do more than complain and run away when things get tough.

I am always wondering what if those immigrants are white people. Will the anti-immigration sentiment still go that radical？

After reading a few of these comments, the main take aways are, there are a lot of immigrants, things cost more, healthcare is a mess and inflation.\nI am sorry that things are hard, the costs of everything are up everywhere in the world so good luck in gentrifying other nations and making your problems their problems.\nIt pains me to no ends that after things get tough in Canada many are ready to jump ship for better softer areas where they will trash the place with their incomes creating inequality there as well and then blaming the mess that they will create on the indigenous people that they will abandon for better pastures.\n\nAs a Canadian of native ancestry I never had it anywhere as good as many of the people here complaining about their middle class woes.\n\nMaybe if you fought for a change, like more housing to bring down the prices and fought corporate greedflation and gouging, realizing that much of this problem, the attack on the healthcare services, much of it being done by the conservative governments, then perhaps you would not be so annoyed with Trudeau.\n\nHe is not helping the housing problem by not building the 2 million new homes that he said he would but NIMBY people are making this difficult. They want the charm of a nice middle class feel to their neighborhoods but when it comes to housing, they don't want to build affordable near them and then they complain with their rents are too expensive or the costs of things too high. \n\nI can't say I feel much pity or empathy with most of the people complaining about their lots in life because as far as I can tell, many natives would love to have your problems but the best that many of them can do is to live in their own lands, homeless, even on their own reserves because there is just not enough housing. Yet when the prices of housing was going up, many homeowners loved it, even though it meant that the poor, the actual poor and not you lot, were stacked like firewood into smaller and smaller rooms with no AC so it was hot in the summer and freezing in the winter and the slum lords are having a hey day. \nThe actual first nations people are homeless and being killed daily and are arrested for being poor daily but you lot think you have it bad. \n\nSorry, when non first nations people say that they will leave Canada because its not how they remember it when they were kids and its worse now so they will jump ship to gentrify other nations, I just shake my head and hold open the door as you leave the nation and wonder at your arrogance and egoism.

When people from western countries work in other countries, they're called Expats. But when people from other countries work in western countries, they're immigrants. Right. And you wonder why people never feel accepted and leave.

It's pretty funny that i just saw an ad about how Canada is accepting THOUSANDS immigrants to move in yesterday. I didn't even click the ad but this get recommended to me lol.\n\nI actually wonder why so many countries (not only Canada), are accepting so many immigrants despite how their own people are still suffering due to being homeless, unemployed, and and many more severe yet basic living problems.

They are taking your guns, your freedom of speech, your right to protest, your bank accounts, they import people that have nothing in common with your values, while it would be very difficult for a European university trained christian like me to come there.\nGee, wonder what they hace in store for you....???\nVote fo lr Trudeau ???

Thank you for this wonderful video, Alina. I feel the same about living in California and the overall situation in the United States. The cost of living keeps on rising while the quality of life declines more and more every single day. So many young people our age (we're about the same age) who have university degrees and have good jobs struggle to pay rent or even foresee a future where they can own a home. I wish you the best of luck in this new life you will embark on. My wife and I enjoy watching your content and look forward to see where you end up.

It happens to so many people from all over the world to want to move to another country. Nothing wrong with that. It's in our human nature to always wander / wonder about. It's the same desire that has got MAN to where we are now. Flying to the moon. Exploring the outer reaches of the universe. And many other things - big and small - in between, like the internet, Youtube, Airplanes and Jets ,Facebook and Smartphones.... I wish this lady all the luck. In a lot of ways I envy her. I dream of seeing many many places (although I have done a significant amount of travelling also). She has actually done much more because she followed her heart whilst not losing her head.

People here are complaining about the need to communicate in German even when they are high skilled professionals who speak good or excellent English (?). Just wonder how it is the other way round: is it possible for an innovator/highly professional worker to find a well paid job in the USA or Canada just with weak or mediocre language skill in English but with excellent/good skills in some other languages? Are other languages appreciated in English speaking countries when it comes to salary or position?\nSomehow I doubt it.\nYet there are highly paid special workers in the industry (mining, building) that actually do not have so good language skills but can their job.

Germany is simply not worth the struggle you have to go through to do anything here. I wonder how soon it will be the situation where we will have to fill a from to even buy groceries. If people move here for the free education, get it and if you like how things are here then stay(no one can make you understand your worth) otherwise get the education get whatever you can and leave wherever you get the best opportunity. \nAt the end of the day you don't have to feel anything towards Germany or their problems with population or lack of skilled immigrants or anything.\nDo the best for you, health is more important than anything (mental health).\nI simply don't think the mental stress to navigate everything here which is exponentially fueled by the language terrorism they bring to the table is noooot at all worth it.

We are facing similar issues here in NZ. Our current prime minister is pushing those who are on Welfare to seek and find work, but here in our country, is where are the jobs to get people into work?? There are businesses at present and we are in a Recession, but businesses are closing because there isn't people to fill those positions?? Canada of early 2000 was a wonderful country. Affordable housing, cost of living was excellent, jobs were available but now this is a crisis. Too much immigration, not enough housing, high interest rates and inflation. Canada is not like USA it cannot withstand such crisis. The politicians have failed the people pandering to their vote banks for votes. Especially Liberals.

But but but... in the UK they told us having an immigration point system would fix everything! (What the populists left out was that the points system was actually a liberalisation of the migration flow)... oh well. And yeah, you can whine about only letting in the people you need all you want - but the truth is low end service positions attract few applicants and it is easy for the proprietors to prove that they need outsiders to fill these posts.\n\nI can't help wondering which Treaty these protestors are...

No wonder places like Vancouver or any of the bigger cities have a lot of homeless. When people can't afford to live in Vancouver or Toronto they bring their problems ? other cities like in places like Calgary.

I am English and when in the sixties I wanted to live in B C Canada I had to go to the Canadian Embassy in London with my husband for an interview….How I loved it, My husband went first and got a job straight away and i went six weeks later …My son and grandchildren are Canadian but sadly none now live in Canada…….Trudeau has ruined your wonderful country and the influx of so called migrants has destroyed it ..We now in England are overflowing with people flooding this country that have no business being here ..Why don’t they stay in their own country and build it up instead of coming to ours and dragging it down to the cutter….

As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. I have so many Canadian friends who love me as much as I love them. No wonder people do not want to rent out nowadays with disgusting rogue tenants like these. The system is broken. And the govt does not give a damn to fix it. The govt is equally responsible along with these rogue tenants for this ugly mess, all the govt wants is to tax vacant condo home owners for their own policy blunders and lethargic system. Who in the right mind would want to rent out after seeing this. My sympathies go out to these condo home owners for the plight they are in who are running from pillar to post to get their dues and to get these rogue tenants evicted.

Usual suspect…but that poor landlord was greedy though. Just owning one property is more than a trouble….taking care of it and stewarding it. Wonder Toronto looks like garbage with people ignoring to take of their property. Many not even cutting their grass.
