Our dumb PM Trudeau is punishing Canadians by adding tarrifs to US products they need for their businesses and not given them time to find alternative canadian sources. He is not as smart as premier Doug Ford who is just adding surtaxes to products sold to US from Canada. He doesn't care if he did he would end poroguing of parliament and increase spending on military and border protection on all sides of our country he says that Trump is going to cause a recession in Canada we already have on caused by 9 years of Liberal federal government backed by NDP leader Jagmeet Singh.

I don't know what Trump up to but im an American and thats what side im on, prices were going to increase anyways, we got the money ? Trump 2028
2025-03-04 0
Trump is not fit for the office of President. Its not only that he's a buffoon, its that he's willing to destroy his own country. He's repeatedly proven that he does not care about his own people and is happy to see them suffer if it will increase his wealth.\nThe USA went through decades of the Red-Scare only to have Trump cosy up to the worst Russian Communist Leader since Stalin. I'm glad the rest of the world is reassessing their relationships with the USA and people are voluntarily boycotting the USA.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau - PLEASE increase US tarrifs by 75%. As a US citizen, I BEG you to shut down the US economy. Make the idiots who voted 4 trump realize what their idiotic & embarrassing actions have created.
2025-03-04 0
Isn't he increasing the carbon tax by 23% next month to all Canadians? It seems the enemy is inside the house
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau lost me when he called Donald 'a very smart guy'. I'm onboard with retaliating against Trump's tariffs even if it increases prices of goods I want to buy.
2025-03-04 0
Business say prices will increase. There are few who said they will absorb the cost (bravo). Business may raise prices but people will only buy essential goods. So both consumer and businesses will suffer.

Everyone fighting over Tariffs and im sitting in Las Vegas waiting for them to increase the W2-G limit from $1200 to $5000. I guess we all have real problems ?

I enjoy the channel. here's an interesting consideration. Unlike most channels I watch in which I increase the playback speed to 1.25x or even 1.5x, your channel is the only one for which I reduce the playback speed. Typically to 0.85x.

It’s most of the world, and sensible Americans who employ common sense and logic vs tRump and his neofascist agenda. In professional wrestling terms, the U.S. has turned “heel,” but the now occupant of the White House, who should’ve never returned, always has been one. I don’t understand his appeal, and why so many Americans have been sucked into his orbit.\nI don’t want this, many tRump voters don’t want this. This’ll adversely affect the world, and will do nothing to reduce the nearly $2 trillion deficit. tRump’s tax cuts for the wealthy, and fElon Musk’s austerity measures will, and already are raising unemployment, and will further increase the divide between the wealthiest and most marginalized among us.\nThe U.S. siding with Russia, the two countries having the biggest nuclear stockpiles, is a threat to the world.\nIf WW3 starts, it won’t be because Zelenskyy won’t act to end a war in which his country was unnecessarily invaded, it’ll be because of Russia’s invasion of it, and the U.S. turning its back on its now former allies.\nThose of us in the states who oppose tRump and his alliance with Putin need to continue to stand up, speak out, and perhaps even do more. We’ve never seen anything like this before. Hate to say it, but this could very well be the beginning of the end of what was once a great nation. I’ll end this with a quote from FDR.\n“The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerated the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism: ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power.”

As a Canadian, here's my biggest concern. The whole border thing was nothing more than a ruse. Trump has cozied up to Putin ... basically, he's Putin's poodle. He's tossed Ukraine to the wolves. (Though, I think Europe and Canada will increase their efforts to help Ukraine.) My fear is Trump will find some way to justify sending American troops into Canada to simply seize the resources he wants but is unwilling to trade for.

Canada's response to America's tariffs under Trudeau is a masterclass in balancing diplomacy with pragmatism. While the U.S. pursues a protectionist agenda, Canada stands resilient, leveraging strategic countermeasures and asserting its sovereignty. Trudeau's approach is not just about retaliating in kind; it’s a nuanced display of commitment to fair trade and a reminder that economic interdependence cannot be taken for granted. In a world where global relations are increasingly volatile, Canada’s measured response signals both defiance and cooperation, leaving the door open for a future where both nations can find common ground amidst the tension.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau you set us up to get crush at this point in time. And another increase in the carbon tax in a month. I don't care what you have to say ever! Just stop pretending you care about Canadians
2025-03-04 0
I do not understand caring about the dollar value of a home unless one is planning on selling. The only value of my home that I care about is that it provides me with a rent-free place to live that I own outright. To me, increasing the value of my home just increases my property tax without providing me with any greater benefits. \n\nDoes everyone in Canada plan on selling their homes?

The tariffs are a distraction as the multi-billionaires walk off with a four trillion dollar tax cut, subsidies, and protections for their corporations... while the hard working average American is saddled with a 10 to 25% tax increase... thanks, Donald.

I’ve talked with a lot of Swedes the last weeks and large majority of them are done with the US. People are finding alternatives to mAmerican products and services and one family told me that they won’t proceed with their plans to spend this summer in Florida. Sweden supports Canada and we would love to increase trade and other kinds of exchange with you as we are permanently leaving the totally unreliable and morally corrupted rough state USA.

Carbon tax 19% increase comin in April, thanks Justin ?
2025-03-04 0
Of all accidental apparent opioid toxicity deaths so far in 2024 (January to June), 79% involved fentanyl 1 2. This percentage has increased by 39% since 2016 when national surveillance began but appears to have stabilized in recent years. MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE! lier!
2025-03-04 0
Tarifs are taxes. If the US and Canada both increase taxes, the only loosers will be the American and the Canadian people. The States of both countries will be fine. They'll be even richer.
2025-03-04 0
Everything this guy has said is false and he cannot back up his statements,, we have yet to hear from the Fentanyl Czar,,,, no one has increased the checking of our ports and their cargo,, lie,, lie lie,,, the money set aside for the fight in drug war is not set to come for fruition for 2 years,, America, trudeau is the most hated pm in Canada,, but you wouldn’t know that because the media in Canada is paid and sponsored by the liebrel government. Do not listen to this corrupt lier but pray for us Canadians??

Canadians do not like Trudeau, he’s increased his citizens inflation with Rules, regulations, communism at core. It’s about Returning Americans the robbed coffers of Taxpayers funds, Americans have United, others move to Canada.
2025-03-04 0
If Trumps ruffling feathers then that means he’s getting traction. Increase the 25% to 100%. We don’t need Canadians supplying us stuff.
2025-03-04 0
That's okay we will pay the increase. We don't mind

Hey dumbasses who voted for Trump: The Wall St Journal estimates these tariffs will increase the cost of your next pickup truck by $9k ! But hey, I guess that's a small price to pay for your improved relationship with Vladimir Putin. Who are you people ?!
2025-03-04 0
Bravo Justin, we love Canada and we stand with you. Looking forward to increasing our trade with your country as well as with Mexico, China and all other potential partners, the US are not the center of the world. A French citizen.
2025-03-04 0
Let's just reduce taxes please? We don't need EI benefits increase.
2025-03-04 0
Canada is the best, they are doing such a good thing. Wrong, Trudeau is stupid for increasing tariffs, Trump will just increase them likewise...
2025-03-04 0
The problem is the US runs a deficit of 6% and piles up public debt although unemployment is extremely low , so instead of raising income tax or other social security contributions, the new administration tries to get money from tariffs, it will work like an increase of VAT . Cutting expenditure and increasing income to finance the federal budget through tariffs is another way to reduce deficits. The price however is to loose a lot of partners and the status of a super power.
2025-03-04 0
Now they’re not gonna care about fentanyl coming into America and are just gonna leave it up to Mr. Trump to deal with it. They spent billions of dollars and our president isn’t even acknowledging that fact, but instead sensationalizing things for his own benefit. Thanks for increasing the flow of fentanyl President Trump!
2025-03-04 0
Not a trade war, increasing taxes for their country. If you don't want to pay, buy somewhere else. United States is securing global peace by developing relations with Russia. Murderous dictator, America has blood on their hands invading other countries, same with Canada, my (stupid) country Australia etc. I thought this clown resigned.
2025-03-04 0
Canada and Mexican have increase everything for ??
2025-03-04 0
This is a good way to increase the wealth of the 1%. Soften the economy, cause a sell of of stocks at reduced prices. Cause the average person to lose sources of income, forcing them to sell assets at reduced prices. The 1% can swoop in and buy them up. The the Boss comes in and removes the tariffs and buoys the markets. This will make the 1% even more rich.

If the Canadian government wants to compete commercially with the US government, it doesn't have to threaten the American people that it will increase inflation in America. What Canada has to do is comply with what the US government has told it. The US has told Canada to stop drug trafficking from Canada to the US. That's all. But they haven't done it. Canada won't gain anything by threatening the US.
2025-03-04 0
I see that Meloni Joli is wearing her military combat outfit! Is she the 'increase in defense spending' that you promised to Trump. Trudeau is going to give us all a 'reach around'! Now Trudeau has given a sole source contract of 40 Billion to the Quebec company SNC Lavalin to build new high speed train between Toronto and Montreal! That money should have gone right to Defense spending. Meanwhile there is not even bus service between Calgary and Edmonton, two Alberta cities with a combine population of more than 3 million people.
2025-03-04 0
Deterioration of relations? That's an understatement,\nAn increasingly large percentage of Canadians now see the United States as our enemy - 27% a couple of weeks ago. As of today, I expect that's up to at least 50%.\nPrior to November, that number would have been negligible. Pollsters never thought it relevant enough to ask before a few weeks ago.\nYou're running out of allies, America. Soon it will just be you and Russia.\nWhich, I'm sure, will delight Putin and his agent, your Felon in Chief.
2025-03-04 0
Secondly Trudeau, why hadn't you done this before? Why hadn't you invested in all this imaging, drones etc to stop fentanyl immigration and the harmful things that you knowingly allowed to enter America? Secondly, why are the tariffs so disapproportionately unfair for the American goods if they can even get there at all. But yours are being sold for pretty much not much of an increase

The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930, raised U.S. import duties significantly to protect domestic farmers and businesses. Sponsored by Senator Reed Smoot and Representative Willis Hawley, the act increased tariffs on over 20,000 goods by an average of 40% to 60%\n\nAlthough intended to shield American industries during the Great Depression, the act backfired. It led to retaliatory tariffs from over 25 countries, a collapse in global trade, and exacerbated the economic downturn. U.S. exports and imports fell by two-thirds between 1929 and 1932.  Economists widely regard it as one of the most disastrous economic policies in U.S. history.

Canadian government has made Canadians paralyzed for decades with high tax rates, made worst business decisions emptied citizens pockets to fill outsiders and their own. Instead of making Canadians rich you have made us poor. I don't disagree to standup for yourself but our foundation is the weakest. If you want to change something think of Canadians make things easier...STOP making admissions hard for professionals pay more wages where its needed and stop increasing minimum wages without improving the lifestyle of people. A 16 yr old making minimum wage and don't even know what to do with the money improve the quality of life. Make businesses boom by helping them with easier access to grants and business approvals. Help investors to grow and help middle class to become investors, make import export much easier. Better laws to protect investors...help those who are growing the economy not dinging them with more and more taxes. This tariff war is going to hurt us more than anyone else. Us poor Candians will have to pay for this hurt our children and our seniors. And that's exactly what Trump and Elon want. To the next Canadian PM - HELP CANADIANS! LET LIVE AND LET GROW...

Less than two months this is chaotic. Tdumps Presidency is going to be 4 yrs of chaos. If you think his first term was chaotic in the way his administration handled the Covid-19 epidemic even when he initiated increase on tariffs with imports on aluminum and Steel. Canada answered. Americans seem to conveniently forget the job losses in the states due to Trump's tarriffs during his 1st term. They voted him in based on the inflation of prices and immigration. But the prices are still high and will go higher

From Germany ??: We support Canada in their approach. And we support Canada in speaking up. We share common values and we look forward for an increasingly closer cooperation, as Germans and Europeans.

80% of potash is imported from Canada. Potassium it's necessary for plant growth and a major input for farmers. The Tariffs will increase the cost per ton by at least $100 per ton. Regardless if domestic mining increases it'll result in higher grocery prices.... Again. We need to impeach this administration. Slapping tariffs on Canada which we hardly have a trade deficit with is asinine. Nevermind all the tech and service exports we send up North which probably far out paces the imports.
2025-03-04 0
Canadians! As an European I'm happy that -despite everything happening atm- we find ways to increase cooperation, cherish virtues like democractic ruling, honesty, empathy. Let's strengthen our bound and leave the (this) USA to Putin and China.

Did he speak any truth at all? Except for the biodigital and surveillance state increasing.

Finland stands with Canada. Ordinary American citizens will pay the tariffs imposed by Trump as increased prices in stores and inflation will start to rise in the United States.

I hope the world clearly see that many of us Americans feel like we’re being held hostage by a rogue government.\n\nWe stand behind anyone who can either bring it to its senses, fix it, or take us as refugees. Things are growing increasingly dire… and Republican voters are cheering it on.

Canada isn't a Country it's the 51st US State. Better Hope Greenland doesn't beat you to the Deal. First come, First serve to the Full backing and open Arms with a Bear Hug included with 0% Tariffs and increased Developmental Funding.

Prime Minister Trudeau was more than polite and kind. As he knows, Trump is not intelligent, and a pathological liar, wannabe dictator, narcissistic fascist and poor businessman to boot. Trump has bullied, threatened and failed to pay thousands of tradesmen and contractors that have worked for him and wishes to hurt them further by extending and increasing tax cuts to individuals and institutions that have not paid their fair share of taxes and social security since the Reagan years. The allegations that Trump has laundered money for Russian oligarchs since his association with Deutsche Bank began are substantial and should be investigated.
2025-03-04 0
This is not a blistering speech. Trudeau just increased the tariffs on Canadian exports from 25% to 50% with his retaliation
2025-03-04 0
The tariff war won't last. It will get ironed out in negotiations on other matters, probably in the form of tighter border restrictions, correcting some farm goods imbalance, and increasing tariffs on Chinese imports. Trump states pretty plainly in his order that this is for purposes of leverage, not punishment. I'd wager Trudeau caves to his demands within a few weeks.
