80% of potash is imported from Canada. Potassium it's necessary for plant growth and a major input for farmers. The Tariffs will increase the cost per ton by at least $100 per ton. Regardless if domestic mining increases it'll result in higher grocery prices.... Again. We need to impeach this administration. What would be interesting to know is how trade between Canada and Europe explodes, Europe would like all the oil and gas and rare earthminerals Canada has, so would China, if for nothing other than to prevent Americas access to it. I think trump and musk think russia will supply rare earth minerals on the cheap, but Russia is about to collapse again and various regions break away as they did last time, but this time is much worse than back then, Russia really could cease to exist and America will not benefit at all, Europe China India Mongolia will benefit. I live near the Canadian border,and stand with Canada on the reciprocal tariff increases. This was not necessary,but Trump is always looking for a fight.
