As a US citizen living in Australia I’m proud of you Canada. I spent a lot of time in Canada ?? beautiful people and a beautiful place. You don’t deserve to be treated like this.

Am I missing something here, the United States is at a trade deficit with Canada, why wouldn’t they place tariffs on Canadian goods to equalize that deficit?

Blaming the USA for what, exactly? It’s unfortunate that Canadian consumers are affected by trade restrictions, such as when Canada bans U.S. wines and liquors. Why ban it in the first place? canada exports 75+% of its overall products into the united states, it only imports 50ish% overall products from the united states of america. This is why the tariffs are in place. People think this is against Canadians, Mexicans and Panamanians, but these tariffs are against chinese who are manufacturing in these countries and bypassing tariffs already in place by the US. The chinese are manufacturing in Canada and Mexico and placing (made in Canada/Mexico) and shipping those items to the US, while Canada and Mexico do nothing.
