I am not a Canadian. I came to Canada in 2015. It is a good place to live with lots of opportunities if you are ready to work hard. If they can why others cant. No need to blame others. spend your time in education. You will be able to get good jobs. work hard and Full fill your dreams. good food, nice car, home ,vacation etc.

At 9:50, the lady in black, she is a total hypocrite! She doesn't like the over populated immigration but she herself sounds like an immigrant! She mentioned she is French, and I am guessing she is from France? Look who is calling the kettle black! Like most if not all, they are looking for opportunities. Learning English is not going to happen over night! Then at 13:12, the presenter points out an interesting observation. He noted that drug problems, he didn't see any Indians with drug problems (although, I am sure drug problems exist in all ethnicities) but notably he saw white Canadians with this problem. Indians weren't camping out at shelters begging for hand outs. So, why are Indians being blamed? Just because there are TOO MANY? That is ridiculous. Moreover, I think these losers are just jealous because Indians and/or other immigrants come to Canada, seeking that dream and have worked hard for it. They pay their taxes and taxes fund government hand out programs, like the presenter noted, to drug seeking white Canadians!

im a huge advocate of diversity but this is just too much ... I live in Toronto and i lost two jobs to massive Indian immigration and probably counting, because they r desperate n willing to work themselves to the bone for pennies ... u cant compete with that\n\nas i got phased out, every single one of my co workers became indian, as i roam the streets, all i see r indians riding around on ebikes doing delivery, even in china town a lot of the general populace appears to be indian\n\nim unable to find a decent job because everything is flooded with applications\n\nvery important to note that however hard it is to accept, we cannot blame the actual immigrants ... the government/authorities r letting them in, they need to have much stricter control\n\nnever in my wildest dreams have i ever needed to even consider leaving canada, but at this rate this is what it is coming down to ... i dont want to live in a third world country in the west tyvm

Born and raised in toronto, I live in Las Vegas. I am able to achieve the American dream in two years with an average salary( single income) , protect myself and my family with 2nd amendment right. 30yr fixed mortgage rate at 3.0% on a brand new house what Canadians would consider a big home at 2400 sq foot home. Foods cheaper , fuel cheaper, Nike is cheaper lol and most importantly No snow. \n\nIf I carried the same amount of salary to Mississauga I would completely have the total opposite. I repeat, I would LITERALLY have the total opposite. God bless America, god save Canada

I understand. I'm going back to Europe after 17 years!! I'm a certified teacher with a brilliant teaching career in Europe and I cannot teach here. Everything is so expensive and I cannot make it anymore. I agree, it's just very sad, it's our life, our dream. I came to Canada with a lot of love and with the willingness to give all my heart, potential, abilities and skills. I cannot make it anymore...my soul and heart are slowly dying. I'm 55, I cannot end my life working two or more jobs and moving every two to four years because landlords keep kicking out of the house old tenants because they raise the rents. Over $3000 a month. Who can afford that? I'm a single mom. Buying a house is impossible as well...\nSo I'm going back to my country. I'm packing my 17 years of life in a few suitcases in one hand, and my son on the other hand. My heart feels heavy and abundant tears are falling off my eyes, but I'm sure that we are going toward a brighter future and surrounded with the love of family and friends.

Justin Trudeau and Sean Fraser letting in a million Indians to study at strip mall colleges is what caused our housing crisis. i thought we got rid of places like Devry and ITT Tech a long time ago, why are we being flooded with phony diploma mills now all of a sudden? importing millionaires from India and China has out-competed middle class Canadians for housing, you need overseas money or you have to be part of organised crime to own a home in southern ontario now. document fraud seems to be rife in the Indian community, but nobody ever seems to get deported, why is that? i don't think India or China would tolerate a bunch of newcomers breaking the rules in their country, why are we allowing it in Canada? Canada isn't building enough houses for all the people its letting in, our infrastructure is in desperate need of upgrades. we have no rapid transit outside of Toronto. The Liberals are just fleecing new immigrants and international students because they've tapped out the Canadian middle class. Canada needs to limit newcomers to 250,000 a year and put an end to the international student scam. Trudeau's WEF approved immigration policies absorb like olestra and the cost of living is killing Canadians and destroying the dreams of locals and newcomers alike. people have been misled about the type of life they are going to get in Canada and that is sad. the government is lying that everything is fine. cost of living and crime are out of control and the Liberals are the biggest thieves of them all.

Trust me Canada is the land of scams not milk and honey where you come here earn pennies and pay in thousands then go in debt and depression and that’s if you find a decent job. No matter where you work and what you do, you are not going to be able to afford life here. Rent is extremely high and it’s everywhere around the nation not in a particular spot or city. Buying a house became a dream. People are living on top of eachother like pickles in houses or apartments due to high housing prices. And what make it worse are the wages. It is pathetic that the average income here is roughly 3,000 dollars where most of money is going to rent. The only people that are living high quality life here are people who are living on child benefits plus welfare and cash money. My recommendation is move out of the country ASAP before it is too late. It’s a trap..

TLDR; I am an person from a wartorn, oppressive country, and I unfortunately do not have many options to choose from other than Canada to have a chance for a better life.\n\nLet me tell you from the perspective of a person whose dream is to come to Canada: I know all this already, I know things are going terribly and the cost of living has gone up significantly. But the unfortunate thing is, the country I am from, is currently in turmoil. I do not fit in there as a person and hate the culture. Its incredibly corrupt with no growth. I am more western, and open minded, and my original country is a strict Islamic country. I do not fit there at all.\n\nI know Canada has all these problems, but its my only choice for a better future, I dont want to go to US because I dont wanna die, also, EU wont accept me unless I am from EU myself or speak their language which is a catch 22. Australia is also becoming a shithole. That leaves Canada and NZ. NZ doesnt have that good of job prospects and limited scope and I love Canada, always have. The weather and everything that comes with it.\n\nYes its not perfect, but I think its more about knowing that I can go back to a place, that is not dangerous for me and my future family, where I will get good care if I am stable job wise. Once I am in Canada, I will probably buy my own land and use that to have a trailer home there since they are still cheap, save my money, and probably retire in Philippines. \n\nI dont believe everyone else should do that and yes I know trailer's costs depreciates with time, unlike a house, but I dont care about that. I dont think of houses as investment and I never will nor I will participate in that practice. Everyone has a right for home.

I came to Canada as a toddler in 2001 and it was like a dream come true for someone from a poor 3rd world country. But as of 10 years ago, the quality of life as well as the quality of services has just been getting worse and worse. As an immigrant myself, i know i shouldn't be saying this, but we seriously need to put immigration at a halt so that the current inhabitants can pick themselves up.\n-The job market is in a crisis, you can have a Masters Degree and still make less than 50K a year\n-We're facing an economic crisis where the cost of living is higher than what you're making (Low-class & Middle-class)\n-Free Healthcare is no longer worth paying for but we have no choice because majority can't afford to pay for Private.\n-Education level is a joke in comparison to Asia and Europe.\n-Most people are too old to even realize that they're voting for the wrong parties to run the country.\n-Depression rate is higher than ever. Satisfaction of life is plummeting, Suicide rate slowly increasing every year.\n-Public services are becoming more expensive, which once used to be Canada's greatest selling point.\n-No one wants to work the jobs that are available and in demand because immigrants are getting to pick and choose.\n-Properties are being bought out by foreigners thus raising the price for citizens who can't afford to buy anymore.\n-Birth rate and relationship satisfaction is slowly declining giving immigrant families access to Citizen status facilities.

I am from India and many people dream to go to Canada for higher study and jobs but in last year I have many Indians professional are either returning back to India or going to Gulf or South European countries.

This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I wasn't born in Canada, but raised in small city of Fredericton since 10 and moved to Toronto for jobs and school in 2014. I don't even recognize my country anymore, it is such a big shame. At least, I had experienced a simple Canadian dream life back in New Brunswick.

I’m a Canadian who lived in Toronto during and after the pandemic (and now moved abroad). The city is not what it was when I was a kid. Completely run down, escalated crimes, homelessness outside my apartment building. Also many immigrants are given more opportunities to fill company’s quota of diversity. Good journalism on this video, thank you for showing the real Toronto. Many foreigners think Canada is a dream country and it’s simply not. Canadians are struggling in our own country, it’s just sad.

whatever you are saying that is correct but it is only one side bro, go and just ask international students what they have been promised here in Canada and how they are living here. Even most of the engineers, doctors and other professionals with foreign experience ended up doing general labor or uber driver jobs and even on the basis of their education and work experience they got permanent residency. No one likes to work on these hard jobs but they don't have any other option as most of skilled worker jobs either need their respective field license or Canadian experience. how much fees international student paying, what kind of job they are doing here, living far from family, managing studies and job, how much debt they took to study here and much more sacrifices doing here. Do not say then why came here because applied through legal process and full filled all the necessary criteria. Was it our fault that we dreamed about study and work here in Canada?. I know it is hard for you and your families that they are not getting jobs but don't hate international students. you can only understand anyone if you put yourself in their shoes.

Canada it's enough, the people and the poverty. The country itself, donations and church. Technology is the help. Waterworks, sewage treatment plant, energy, automatic work, even private. Be it with solar, magnetic field or hydrogen, motor or encoder. I really want to finally help our people in this world. Small country houses built and properly expanded do not have soup and at night they have to fight for survival on the streets again. The technology makes follow-up costs unnecessary but creates the opportunity to help in the long term. People also have dreams, even the poor ones. You just have to give everyone a fair chance in this whole commercial system. Back then there was a lot of work in the lumber industry in western Canada and big factories in eastern Canada. Those who have bought houses will have to pay the mortgage for a long time. Spend 25-30 lakhs, live 4-5 together in basements and do hard labor jobs (warehousing, retail cashier, security). My friend is an Engineer. His wife is a doctor. Both have more than 15 yrs of international experience.\n\nAfter they came to Canada, they realized - a hair cutter and a mutton cutter makes more money here..... while they are doing minimum wage jobs.\n\nCanada is the Land of Killed-dreams.
