It seems that if Adlof Trump was even 1/10th as smart as the President of Mexico he would actually have a brain. Last time Adlof Trump put tariffs on Canadian lumber the price of OSB sheathing went from 9 bucks a sheet to 56 bucks a sheet. That really taught Canada a lesson as we paid thousands more for each home that was built after that.

The Mexican president can either get on board and they actually police their side of our border and help stop the fentanyl, cartels and illegal migrants or Trump will send in special forces to deal with cartels after they make the terrorist list. Far as the mass deportation? Buckle up buttercup because its coming i don't think Trump would care if they all get dumped out at air strips in Central America i mean they got themselves there to come up and cross illegally here so they can find their way to where they came from from there.

Trump is just yammering again. He threatens almost randomly to get a reaction. It's not like he has a plan to fulfill his campaign promises. \nUnfortunately for other world leaders he is president elect and they need to react to his thougtless spewing even before he takes office. \n\nOnce in office we will see if he actually does anything except rant from his podium. It feels so foolish to keep trying bandaid solutions that harm the US labor pool. There's a couple of things I keep thinking about in regards to this. \n\n1. Most developed countries on earth are in the midst of or are preparing to deal with population crisis and depopulation. Strong immigration to the US stems this issue and is actually a huge advantage to the power and continuing visibility of the USA.\n\n2. Deportation and border control strike at the effect of immigration and leave the cause unharmed. People come to the USA because there's opportunities here, so why not make opportunities abroad?\n\nIf the USA were to remove benefits of dealing with china while offering massive incentives for moving manufacturing away from china directly to Latin America, not only would we be countering our Chinese dependency but we would also provide jobs at home and stem immigration. Not only that, but the businesses would be American and be controlled by Americans - a huge incentive to stay friendly to the USA.\n\nI don't know, just seems like our current policy and especially what Trump is suggesting are counter productive and stuck in a bygone way of thinking.

Trump says he wants to get rid of low skill migrants for highly skilled migrants, migrants that can actually contribute positively to the U.S economy, and not the ones who don’t pay taxes and send all the money they earned back to their home countries.

As an American we are very relieved, here in NYC about 500,000-750,000 people are here illegally (that we know about) and they take jobs, resources, and money from actual citizens. For example they cut our schools budget to fund hotel rooms for these people. Gave them debit cards, free phones, and a whole lot more. I hope Trump does it and removes all of them, for America's sake. I say this as a 25 year old former democrat. Mass migration is a detriment to any society. Not to mention the crime and resource problems that come with it.

I can’t believe people actually think that Trump will deport more than 20 million people, when that’s literally practically impossible considering how many immigrants aren’t willing to leave and the ones that are scattered across huge areas. The realistic conclusion is he deports most illegal immigrants in big cities which would be about 3 to 5 million over 4 years

I think it’s important to note that her choice of words implies a greater issue than just supporting Trump, lack of empathy. The bulk of people that vote for Trump have two mentalities: “if I had to do it, so do you” and “this doesn’t affect me personally so I don’t care”. It’s bizarre to me that people think we need to take America “back” as if this country isn’t made up of a majority of immigrants. Most of our ancestors did NOT come here legally. America is in dire need of education, not just about elections, but political theory in general. So many people think Socialism = Marxism and immediately write it off as diabolical to even mention. The truth is, more communal ideologies will boost the economy not hinder it. The Trump administrations immigration policy is actually less strict than Australia's. Who are not having to do mass deportations because their President did not encourage millions of people to just walk into the country. If there are 16,000,000 illegals in the country, Each Police person would have to stop whatever they are doing and, on average, capture 20 illegals... That means she came at a time when immigration was much easier and wanted, to increase gdp and to do the jobs normal Americans didn’t want to.
